Slightly. When I demo’d them I felt like the fx may have had a small amount more, but the f allowed you to get to the mid range and rev more due to the gearing.
The 250f has always had a jerky on/off feeling at first 1/4 turn that even with the app was hard to tune out. I rarely see anyone talk about it and definitely not something you want in woods, is it not an issue on the FX or does it still need to be tuned out as best possible?
@@motozz8258 I ride a 250 and 300 2T, have owned 450F, and every bike in between, B rider thank you. The jerky response is real if you ride other bikes and was simply asking if anyone found some app tuning to help. So thanks for your well thought out response that helped no one
@@jasonfinnegan9125 my 350 exc-f has that jerkiness, and, I'm thinking it's from the fast throttle cam I put in when the bike was new and I wanted more powah before I bought a GET ecu. Now I need to tame it down because it's annoying being jerky like that in the woods
@Randy_Cox I ride a Yz250x. I kick that thing all of the time. My point is Yamaha is being lazy. They haven't updated that smoker, other than a few cosmetic changes, since humans first discovered fire. If they want me to buy a new bike they better come up with something better. Btw I also have a YZ450F that I use for the track. They really need to come up with something new. I don't need a new bike that's the same as what I have. I DEFINITELY don't need a bike that requires earplugs or that has two stupid gas caps.
@@JoshThomas-b8d not sure why a button would make any difference since you already own, ride a yz250x. You want a more expensive more heavy bike so you can be lazy and not kick it? Dude I think they are great just the way they are. Simple, light, easy to work on, no electronics degree needed once the gremlins come to town. Already has the best reliability and suspension you could ever want. Cant fix perfection.
Great info! did you feel any flameout issues in the tight rocky technical stuff? tnx
Great job Jamie. This is the best review of this bike I have seen. Vital did a great a thing sending you to this demo, you killed it.
Yamaha doing the best per usual
6:37 why avoid the rock section? 😅
I wimped out
how did this feel vs the 450FX from last year?
JK answered it at the very end! Thanks Daaaaaark
When is Yamaha going to make a 350fx?
Does it start better? Dead engine starts on my 21' are brutal...
Check your idle and install a lithium battery
My 21 is fine, had trouble with hot starts for a bit, turned the idle up a tiny bit and now it starts instantly anytime
Quality matters , weapon too
Surprised how much I preferred the F model over the updated fx. The new platform just seems twitchy and more on/off vs my old 21.
Good to know. I have 2019 YZ250F. Love that bike 👍
ML, would the FX airbox be beneficial for the F to help with bottom end? Would it be similar to those using the 450 airbox and adapter?
does this have more bottom than the 2025 yz250F ?

@@DClassDad I have a 25 YZ250f, Not happy at all with the bottom end.. My 2021 has more. I actually have it for sale. the 25.
Yamaha is bringing their a game.
Is it better than the yz250f?
@@Trxll1 on trails, off-road and GNCC, yes. On motocross, no.

Advance your skills or buy a farm bike

👍
Not enough HP for off road , my 350 KTM will smash that thing , just as light or lighter and way more hp for big hills and long straights .
Relax, 2 different classes. And if you need more than a 250 for 98% of trails, sounds like a skill issue
superbeast ,,, dream on champ , stock for stock bike you would get eaten alive .
This bike is true laziness from Yamaha. Enduro bikes are 2stroke. PUT A BUTTON ON THE 2 STROKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a cross country bike not enduro .
@simonfournier6480 "Cross country" hahahahahahaha. That's just code for super easy trails.
Needing a button is true laziness from a rider. Learn to kick and stop crying.😂
