It's actually really good to see you talking about your errors as it helps us understand how to recover from our own 👍 Keep up the good work Great channel.
They don't need to be in order. You don't want to hit into other reds and move them. It's like a real break. Not many will go perfectly. You have to scramble a little sometimes. It was a nice dish. It's a tricky set to clear. Well done Mick.
Absolutely brilliant stuff Michael! Thank you sooo much! I'm learning so much just watching this and listening closely and sometimes rewinding! For me, it was just great for so many reasons, this kind of insight from a top professional for people like me is gold and makes me feel like we should really be paying for it man
BELIEVE IN YOUR SELF YOU ARE BRILLIANT I'VE BEEN PLAYING AN WATCHING SNOOKER FOR 60 YEARS CONFIDENCE IS THE THING JUST BE POSITIVE REGARDS HOWARD FROM CYPRUS 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I agree with your comments on deceleration, the impact timeframe is so short that cueball doesn't care whether you are accelerating or not. Its just a clever sounding phrase for commentators to say when they do not know what went wrong. Yes it helps to push through the cueball consistently but you don't need to be thinking about constantly acceleration.
Hi. Very Informative and wonderful video. Please make a video on the backswing of the cue before final delivery (long backswing like Ronnie or Judd and you also) or short backswing (like Ding Junhui) ???
Michael can you advise if certain workout that need to avoid by snooker player when go to gym. My alignment not right when practicing push ups so i stop doing it
On black to yellow you played trace of right, I know it was a left cut but would there not have been a better margin for error playing left of centre to play off the side cush? That way the white would be traveling towards the yellow. Top cueing as always 👌🏻
Thank you. I could have done but it makes the pot much harder. Playing it like I did made it virtually unmissable. I hit the cue ball too high that’s why it went closer to the cushion than I wanted. All worked out in the end. 😃
@MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching this is the difference between us amateur/club players and the pros, I think: knowing what margin of error is fine and what's too risky. Years of experience at the top level with give you that, I guess!
Well, all I can say if that was no good..Flippin eck ….The screw shot off the black…with a trace of left…off the cushion past the pink for the next red was sublime
@OliverSG1 I was only joking. Obviously, Holt doesn't need hints from anyone. The fact that he fell off the tour is a mystery to me. I think he's massively underachieved
Nice one,Michael,,,have you noticed a slight dip as you deliver,,not that it stops you being a great player.any tips as to how I get from 30/40 breaks to higher breaks, Regards Tony Brownhill.
Yes. It’s something I’m aware of and the more I play it seems to disappear. 🤷🏻♂️ It’s could be a few things, probably aiming. It’s impossible for me to help without seeing you. Sorry.
Michael, do you ever do drills like this, but instead of accepting bad position and playing it where it lies, you re-take any shot that wasn't perfect position and drill in that shot over and over before moving onto the next one? And what do you think about that kind of practice method versus the "play it where it lies" method? P.S. I thought John Higgins' practice routine would be this layout but you have to double every ball :) Thanks for the cool videos.
Always play it where it lies. It’s rare you will always be perfect but it’s something you will aim for. Ha! Yes. John could double the lot. 🤣 Thank you. 👍
Wow! If anything shines a light on the difference between professional players and us mere mortals it is this. If I set the balls up like that in our club, any of my team members there would be rolling around the floor laughing.
Notice you actively trying to avoid playing a trace of left on a left cut - i assumed this was just a standard shot in and around the black spot? Do most pros try to avoid that shot then? 🤔
Yes. They will avoid the “wrong” side of the cue ball as much as possible. Sometimes they will have to but generally they will stay on the correct side for the shot they are playing. 👍
I actually think Stephen could learn a lot from you, he's head is not in the right place, thinking about hand placements and feet and stuff like that, you would simplify a lot of things for him. and maybe the mental part would rub off on you :P win win! you are so good at youtube and snooker it's ridiculous btw.
Don’t listen to these people Michael they have no clue what they say. Let’s get one thing straight. You couldn’t disrespect hendry if you wanted mate. Don’t think anyone can. So these people saying that they need to think before they speak….

‘Gotta pot em in order, don’t wanna get trolled’ 😂 made me smile

Is this John Higgins?
@@bbwnpat hahaha
That was amazing talking through every shot 👏👏
Thank you. 😃
Lovely video. Do you know what your schedule is for next season yet so I can book a session
The red along the cush and perfect position on the black was exquisite 👌
Great job 🎱👌

That is class 👌🏻 that routine is ridiculously difficult
Thank you.
Brilliant Michael.
Best of luck this season👍
Great recovery shots with brilliant cue ball control great work michael❤🔥

Marco Fu does mostly high blacks when I watch him . Top 10 best break builder ever 🇭🇰
He can't be in the top 10 break builders ever when he isn't in the top 10 most century breaks list
Thepchaiya same always high black
That reminds me.....i need to get two bottles of milk on the way home!

One of greatest video I ever seen 🎉

The Alan Partridge of snooker.
Awesome !!
Michael can you advise if certain workout that need to avoid by snooker player when go to gym. My alignment not right when practicing push ups so i stop doing it
I do weighted push ups nearly every day. My alignment is fine.
I’d be shocked if push ups are affecting yours.
It will be something else…👍
Beautiful cue action. Thanks
Thank you. 😃

First attempt Michael? that is absolutely fabulous if so!
I think Michael Holt has been taking hints from Break From Life
What using lighter white balls?
@OliverSG1 I was only joking. Obviously, Holt doesn't need hints from anyone. The fact that he fell off the tour is a mystery to me. I think he's massively underachieved
Undoubtedly the best snooker channel on you tube.."perf".
“Perf” comment! 😃

Practice & knowing where to strike the white would likely be Michael's answer :)

Would be harder on a star table with WST size pockets 😅
You’re going to have to do better than that… 🎣

😂
I try a line up sometimes. I’m lucky if I pot 3 balls. I just go to pieces. Well done. 👍👍
Thanks 👍
I want to see the STEPHEN LEE KFC Routine!

5 reds below the black? Fuck that, I’ll be there all night. 😂
Magnificent…. Snooker is simply NOT that easy……🤣🤣
Never seen anyone so unhappy with a 147😅 levels!
Very good. Give your wife a go!
