A 147 is such a challenging and special achievement, even your opponent wants you to succeed. Thats unique in any sport.
I think a big part of that is that at the point where a maximum break is possible, the opponent has already lost the frame, so it doesn't really matter to him anymore.
@@uztre6789 Of course you are right. But this is still a very competitive sport between the best of the best professionals. They work hard for their success so its not a given, that you want your opponent to succeed. A maxi gives you alot of confidence and boost.

@@chrisn.2002 True enough. He and his manager were caught on camera agreeing to fix matches. He claimed to have obliged just to get away, but somehow never told about it to anyone. Lord knows how much money he really scammed throughout his career.

He was cleared of any wrong doing by the snooker governing body. The only thing he did was not report it when he was approached about throwing games. He’s never cheated. Unlike Stephen Lee.
Eric Lewis codswallop. He was cleared. He was on camera and never agreed to throw matches. He sat there and didn’t say a word. Unlike Stephen Lee who was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Let’s hope you’re never asked to be on a jury.
