That Italian hammer's handle sort of looks like a wand. Lots of character. Too bad it cracked. Still, you did a fantastic restoration job on these hammers.

This video was great! I have no use for any of these but I’d hang all of them on my wall. It would be fantastic to watch you build a hammer from scratch.
🤔Would love to see Matt and Ilya each make a Daishō set one from modern steel (that can take a hamon)that is more fantasy-inspired and one from traditional materials in the traditional fashion. And here is the twist...you let us fans vote on who makes what.
If you have aluminum oxide on your buffing pad and polish your handle it makes them look worn and used. So it’s a good one if you want an “antique” look.
These are basicly jewelers hammers, the flat side is used for planishing and the ball peen for texturising or for dishing out sheet metal for bowls etc.
As far as hammer videos are concerned, if you are making the hammers anyway, why not film it. If nothing else, it's a good option for having something to publish in-between projects.
Too bad you couldn't save all the handles but at least they all turned out good. It's always nice to mix it up with content whatever you all decide is fine by me. Just keep up the great work 👍🏻
Not sure with how few views he pulls in and the drama that it would be worth it for them like the skalchion, though it would be cool to see the sword from the book or if they could help with the titan sword
I always appreciate watching a restoration video! The backwards handle maybe was because the peen was the side that got more use? And the head was upside down so it could get into a tight space? Or whoever did it was just wrong/not paying attention! Oh, and about handles - a little wood glue on the wedge before it goes in makes it slide in very nicely! I've also heard people said the handle should go in dry, so the oil swells the wood and makes the tightest possible fit. I think it depends on the size of the handle, really!
Never been into the whole kingdom hearts franchise, but I'd love to see you guys do a keyblade. I think the designs are pretty cool and I know you guys would nail it

Noob question: would a small steel shaft down the middle help with strengthening the neck of the hammer? would need a slow rpm drill with a really small bit but might add some longevity.

The aged look on wood is just 👨🍳🤌
So nice right
Why are the handles so thin? It seems like they would be fairly fragile.
You would think so but I've never had one break during use. I think the flex gives them a springy effect and reduces as much weight as possible
I can see that. Interesting
I think some aren’t mounted wrong probably modified for a specific process they were doing.
I mean I see nothing that an upside down and backwards handle could do that a properly mounted hammer couldn't.
