Importante vídeo. Bom saber o alcance antes de perder o sinal. E saber também que tem bateria para divertir bastante. Drone muito seguro esse Dji mini 4 pro. Vou adquirir um e entrar para o clube. Obrigado de Brasil ! 🇧🇷
Great video I noticed that you were holding your controller in a vertical position. For the best signal results hold it horizontally towards the drone so that the signal can come from the top of your controller it will definitely make a huge difference.
Helpful video! It’s good to see the range test in less than ideal conditions. BVLOS would be good for getting shots of inaccessible areas. Having the capability is appealing.
Great to see a range test on the Mini 4 Pro. I noticed the RC signal (I believe that's what it is) in the upper right of the controller screen was red from around 2,000 feet and beyond. I didn't realize the drone could fly much further once that turned red. Also, the controller displayed "weak signal" for most of the flight. The first time that happened to me with my Mavic 3 classic I freaked out and brought the drone back immediately. I'm like you, and don't see a reason to fly the drone too far. I just drive or hike to an interesting place and fly from there. Plus, it's a bit nerve wracking to fly too far.
Furthest I’ve flown mine was little more then 10,000ft but I had to fly it really high once I got to around 5000ft so I could get better signal. I see other people flying it much further but there was unrealistic. Thanks for doing a legit range test I was getting worried why I couldn’t go no where near as far as other have said
I know it’s a broken record, but signal interference is real, especially if you’re flying it in a neighborhood or something, if you’re elevated above buildings, structures or trees etc you could potentially get better signal, everyone keeps telling me to get on my roof but I doubt that will increase the range at all. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and happy flying!
Thank you so much for sharing this range test, I flew mine until the RC signal became red then I came back to home, I was very skeptical on flying it any further after I seen the RC signal turn red, should I basically just look at the bar signal whether or not it's red or what? Again thank you much...
You’re welcome! And thank you for Watching, I honestly feel I probably could have kept going but when the video feed gets choppy and I can’t see is basically where I call it quits, but to be fair I could have kept the stick pushed forward for another 1,000-2,000ft longer and still gotten more range
Push it as far as you want, as long as you’ve selected a good home point it will automatically start returning to you if you lose connectivity. I figured this out on the side of a mountain, while scrambling to try to get it to reconnect lol.
I want to go far because I like exploring. Just like how you found that, I dunno, old greenhouse or whatever it was. Wouldn't have ever taken that picture hanging out 300 feet from your house.
Well done video with a lot of info for like me who also live in a very heavily wooded subdivisions. I'm a newbee and trying to decide between the 3Pro and the 4Pro which cost almost 50% more over a good low time 3Pro. I don't have any clear patches of land as you do around me to get better transmission. I was hoping to see the worse direction for 100% tall tree interference to see what I would have. I'm guessing it would be at least 50% less of what you got in this test There's a couple of things I'm curious about. (1) How can the drone fly way past the point of having no bars? and (2), I thought the drone would automatically return to home (or go back towards home) if it looses all the bars.
If it looses all connection it will do an automated return to home, in some instances the connection just needs to adjust itself internally to receive the transmission signal, eventually it will indeed drop out once any signals cannot reach the drone. I would say the Mini 3 pro should still get you a rock solid connection compared to this ( although I haven’t owned the mini 3 pro ) I think if you have the budget go with the 4 or if you’re trying to save some coin go with a good used 3 pro
That’s not a bad idea, the only problem i see with that is it may tip it over the 250g limit which would cause you to have to register it which isn’t a huge deal for me but still sucks
There is a portion in the app where you can use the “find my drone” function, unfortunately it only works for as long as the battery has a charge. After that you’re on your own trying to find it without any beep indicators to point you in the direction of the aircraft
I been watching a ton of reviews for the Mini 4 Pro and they all say you have to use controller with the Antennas. How are you using it without the antennas???
Multiple reasons, they test the drone in an environment where the terrain is probably very flat or they test the range where the terrain drops down so there are no obstructions, little to no wind conditions, clear line of sight will get you a lot further than an area that has homes, trees, WiFi and electrical interference
Aqui no Brasil um louco arriscou o limite sem o retorno a base para testar o radio e sinal. th-cam.com/video/7xVF1u9OaiQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HVAWt8b9YgLsRa7P
Probability of that but also I think it’s more where I live in a wide open area with no interference ( houses, trees, power/telephone poles/lines etc ) all play a part too. 2 miles is still a long way to fly a mini drone 🤘🏻
Yes it’s good for 20KM but that’s only really in absolute ideal conditions, No interference, no structures or obstacles in the way, flat earth for 20km. Like I mentioned in the video I was trying to make it more realistic in the fact most people are going to be flying this near their home or in a city. Not to mention that the 34min flight time that DJI claims is actually less than that ( on average I’m getting roughly about 25-28 minutes in good conditions)

I have a feeling I could fly this drone for 7 days without landing and someone would comment how they saw another TH-camr fly it for 8
😂
I’ve seen 9 days sir
cool dog he wasn't even bothered by the drone landing next to him 😊

Thank you for watching! Yeah it’s nerve racking flying out that far. But all in all they hold signal pretty well.
I agree with you, also If the drone is out of my sight I freak out and panic a little bit I get shaky in the knees lol

You have to point the top of antenna towards drone so instead of aiming it more up aim it forward down towards the drone
Yep, sure did

@@ginginthing you’re welcome! That’s why we’re here 💚🙌🏻 have fun with your new drone 🥳
Finally range test with Rc n2
You hit on everything on point in this video great video
Thank you for watching 🙌🏻💚
Great video! Is this fcc or ce?
This was in FCC for the US
And thank you! 🙏🏻
Great video, thanks.
You’re welcome 🙏🏻💚
Wow nice drone like it
Is this ce mode? Cause folks who use fcc mode got over 30,000 feet. So seem really low to get red bar at 5000 feet.
Nope it’s FCC, I think a lot of people fail to realize how much interference disrupts their signal
Why not put an Apple Tag or some other type of GPS device on it , in case it comes down etc ?
That’s not a bad idea, the only problem i see with that is it may tip it over the 250g limit which would cause you to have to register it which isn’t a huge deal for me but still sucks
All drones have GPS to track it should you lose it.
The cheap one my Wife bought me showed a line to drone ( on top of my roof ) from 53 miles away
For some reason your drone went down that far away how do you recover it? Is there a beacon?

They are hidden in the RC, I believe the RC pro with the screen has the antennas
The RC-2 that is for the Mini 4 Pro.
@@kevink9365 yes there’s the RC-2N which I have and the RC-2 that I believe comes with the bundle for $960

Must have flown against a strong wind on the way out?
Oh and at 8:20 a...BURP?!
It was gusty so it’s definitely a good possibility I was hitting some turbulence on the flight out. And heck yeah! I do be burping A lot
good drone the new RC is much faster to fly and not have to use my phone to.
FCC?
Si
You need to flip your antennas up
I have the RC-N2, it has no Outer Antennas, the Antennas are built into the Remote
@@JordanHandwerkerwonder if the Rc 2 has greater range with the external antennas?
@@Vapolamp it could be a possibility but again obstructions take place on it too

There is a Mini4 Pro range test on YT over water, that went 17km. (10.5 miles).
