It just came out in the news today that SawStop is sueing Bosch to halt the importation of this saw. So much for the good Dr Gass wanting to help prevent saw injuries. This REAXX has a better idea and will/would surely take market share.

This is my next saw. Also it doesn't ruin the blade unlike SawStop, Sorry SawStop you came up with a great safety feature but Bosch made it way better.
1499 saw and stand. thats a pretty decent price....99 for 2shot cartridge - def cheaper than sawstop where you have to buy a bunch of stuff when you trigger the flesh-detector. or even a hospital visit. would be nice to see the reaxx technology in a cabinet saw
Great technology but at that high price point of $1500 for a contractors saw, you might have a problem selling them in high numbers....$700-$900 might be the sweet spot for this saw
+Deke1 no there are well i dont know the real number but it must be over 100 000 schools that uses table saws and this feature makes it 1000000x safer for the kids that are gona use it that they will spend money on 2-3 and that is each school. then we have companys that value theyr employe they might get a few. and then we come to the private persone for around the home real men will pay good money for real tools
+swedish gaming Schools aren't buying folding contractor saws when their budgets are already stretched, especially for a $1500 saw and contractors aren't going to buy this saw either when they already own a contractors saw and certainly not paying near double for one when they get either stolen, abused or damaged moving them site to site all the time....this saw is for a home owner that really isn't that skilled at using a table saw and even then, I highly doubt they're paying that much for a contractors saw they wouldn't be using everyday....people that injure themselves on table saws are not using them correctly..
I can't find any news on the lawsuit but it seems bosch has won. popular mechanics website has a June 1 release date, $1500 retail means $700 on Amazon. I'm thinking there will be big discounts coming on sawstops which imo would be a great time to get one if on the sidelines. Anyway competition is great and maybe bosch will sell or license the patents to powermatic etc. If powermatic and other cabinet saws used the Bosch tech i see the sawstops going the way of betamax, laserdisc etc.
+Merle Krueger dado blades didnt fit in bosch tools because dado blades are not legal in european health system. u can work with it but if something happened, your insurance dont pay.
It's finally out! We tested this sawed found a power issue. Bosch is aware of the issue and has a fix planned. See issue here: th-cam.com/video/6LoTmSYHIkQ/w-d-xo.html
A Concord Carpenter I tell you what, I removed the vote. It happens, its just that some do that intentionally to make the video look longer and that annoys me terribly. :)
No, it's better than the SawStop. You don't have to replace a $70+ brake after each time it engages. Also, Bosch has a long history of top-notch manufacturing and excellent service whereas Sawstop doesn't. Moreover, and perhaps most importantly: SawStop has been lobbying the FedGov to force its would-be competitors to buy and implement SawStop's technology as a condition for even entering the market. Far as I know, Bosch is not doing that type of corporatist a-hole maneuvering. That is reason enough for me to choose Bosch over SawStop, if I choose this type of saw at all. I certainly will never buy a product from a company that employs the immoral, anti-competitive tactics being undertaken by SawStop.

Jeff Stanley I agree

iShootBandits then we have a deal

Bosch Active Response Technology™ expands to include flesh-detecting technology to help reduce potential user injury
Awesome
Bosch just told me today this will be available July 1, 2016 for $1500
+A Concord Carpenter GREAT! Any idea if this includes the European market?
Nice! Some home-builders, GCs, et al., are already getting theirs. Did you opt for early acquisition?
yes
Great demo! Good Job Rob
It's great looking. The main problem for most people is going to be the price tag.
that was cool Rob.
How much for that hotdog?

+Deke1 I would think for schools /employers just their cost even with insurance is well worth the cost.
Deke1 schools are buying these saws though. I lost limb is a hell of a lot more expensive than these saws.

Real Engineered Solution. 😀
Cool technology, but you get a downvote because about half of your video is a black screen.
sorry man we missed that on edit

It's the same thing as the saw stop saw
