RIP Kevin Conroy.... 😞 THE voice of batman and has been the main voice of batman for 30 years. He is the bar that won't be reached again, he had the perfect weight, perfect presence and the ideal vocal portrayal of manliness for such an iconic and powerful character.
He wasn't just a Batman actor. He truly was Batman, just as Chadwick Boseman was T'Challa. And no one can ever change that. Rest In Peace Kevin Conroy, you deserve it.
With Chadwick, I liked Black Panther and all but wasn’t a huge fan. But when he died I was still so shocked, I guess I just didn’t think he’d be the one to go.
Rest in peace Kevin Conroy. You will be missed. But you will never be forgotten. You are Vengeance, you are the night, you are and always will be Batman🖤
choosing Harvey to show exactly how he became Two Face was a damn good choice. a good heart punch for the story. also much love to the comments given Kevin Conroy so much respect
RIP, Kevin Conroy. He was Batman to me when I was introduced to the character through the animated series when I was little and he has been through to my adulthood with the Arkham games, animated movies, rewatches of the animated series and when I read Batman comics. He was extremely talented and by all accounts a very nice person, I wish I could’ve met him. Rest easy.
Kevin Conroy is and will always be Batman for me and so many others. His take on the character, his passion and energy as a person, can never be replaced. He will be sorely missed. 😔
Kevin Conroy was truly the best Batman we’ve ever had. He was one of my greatest childhood heroes and he’s always been a wonderful inspiration. Getting to chat with him virtually last year via GalaxyCon Live was such an honor, and I still enjoy his performance in this series and in the Batman Arkham games. He will be greatly missed.
Rip to the legend, the icon, the Voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy. From my childhood cartoons to my adult years with the Arkham games, will always be the definitive Batman.
One of the 3 great achievement of this serie with the creation of Harley Quinn and the rebuild of Mr Freeze, the rebuild of Two Face ! Paul Dini actually consulted psychiatrist in order to use the best mental illness to represent him, not too heavy for kids but just right. Also i really like that line of Bruce Wayne, it takes a strong man to admit when he has a problem. Your god damn right when it come to mental illness, it's not like your kidney's, you only have one mind !
R.I.P. Kevin Conroy, He will always be our Silent Guardian, our beloved voice actor, our Dark Knight. He is Vengeance, he is The Night, and he will always be our Batman!
Art Team: So how much two-faced, half-and-half imagery and foreshadowing do you want us to slip in this episode? Bruce Timm: Yes. EDIT: It's sad to look back on the comment I wrote two weeks ago and think how quickly things can change. RIP to Kevin Conroy, not only an absolute legend of voice acting, but also an absolute angel of a man. For anyone who hasn't read the comic he wrote this year "Finding Batman", I cannot recommend it enough.
It’s going to hit hard when they finally do react to Kevin’s passing 😢 Forever my number 1 Batman! Conroy was, is, and will forever be legendary. My life is forever better from his work. RIP
Rest in Peace to THE Batman for multiple generations. Whether it was on our televisions (BTAS, Batman Beyond, JL, etc), the silver screen (Mask of the Phantasm), in video games (Arkham series), even in comic book form (Finding Batman), audio-books, and even commercials... he was the constant that connected the audience in our love for this character. Kevin Conroy was that guy. As talented and great at his craft as he was, his biggest contribution was his personal connection to the fans. Dude made ample time to speak to each and every one of the audience who he had reached over the years as the voice of this pop culture juggernaut. Never did he shy away from 30 years of remarks or stories from the people who listened to him their entire lives. He always made time for conventions even as his schedules piled up. His costars from multiple mediums never had anything but praises for his professionalism and work habits. He was never busy enough to be Batman. Whenever he was needed, he always answered that signal. There's both profound sadness and gratitude upon hearing the news yesterday. Sad we'll never hear another iconic interpretation Mr. Conroy was capable of delivering in different variations of the character. Grateful that we have such a wide library to look back on. Thank you Kevin Conroy. Your contributions to this character is unmatched and will live on Forever. ~November 30, 1955 - November 10, 2022~
The voice acting for Two-Face...you can feel the mad anger and in every lines...like he always wants to rip your face ! It's just amazing !! Also yes he is a brother, kinda...In the Tim Burton movie of 1989 he was played by Billy Dee Williams and in most other versions he his white, mixing it was a pretty good idea !
That wonderfully raspy voice... you'd never guess that Richard Moll was playing against type here. While it would have been interesting to see, I always wondered if Williams had it in him to act convincingly aggressive and evil half the time.
Watching these videos will always feel like a great tribute to the man behind the mask, thank you blind wave the bat will live on forever in all of us 🖤🦇🖤
When this first aired I didn't know anything about two-face so the ending shocked me. Harvey was a recurring character I didn't exppect him to turn into a villain
when i heard the news yesterday I cried on my couch as if batman himself had died. and in a way he did. RIP Kevin Conroy. You were so loved. I wish strength to his family and friends
@@Robin-6525 I was already 13 in 1992 when the show began and I was kinda at the age where I'm trying to be cool and grown up and that "cartoons are for babies" and such, but BTAS was a more mature cartoon show, that unlike many others, didn't seem like it was ever talking down to kids. It even had story elements that weren't allowed in other shows such as drugs, guns and death (Even Spider-Man TAS which came after it still had some severe rules in place, such as regular police officers being armed with laser guns rather than realistic firearms). It had high quality storytelling, voice acting, music and art aesthetic that were just beyond anything else at the time in a supposedly kid's cartoon. And yeah, the main thing that held it all together in every episode was Kevin Conroy's voice whether as Bruce or Batman. Think I'm gonna have to do yet another full rewatch of the show myself soon (and the tie-in movies like Sub Zero and Mask of the Phantasm). And the Batman guest episodes of Superman TAS (I love that show too but I just focusing on Conroy right now). And Batman Beyond. And Justice League (Unlimited). He voiced DCAU Batman and various other incarnations of Batman in other animated projects and video games (most recently in the smash bros like Multiversus) so he's done a LOT of work as Batman and yet we always wanted more. Well, we can't anymore now but we can enjoy 30 years of his Batman. Sorry for babbling, still trying to process it. Most celeb deaths don't usually hit me that hard unless something particular about them was part of my 'soul' for so very long and Conroy absolutely was.
Watching this reaction after yesterday is very upbringing after the sadness everyone experienced yesterday it is great seeing you all enjoy the show. RIP Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman for so many.
It also leads to one of the hardest torment scenes in the show. Harvey falling off the crumbling walk away screaming: "Why couldn't you save me?!" Echoing into the void, and as Bruce looks over the side... An alley way far below with a single street lamp where Thomas and Martha Wayne stand under it as Thomas softly utters the words: "Why couldn't you save us, son?"
While Batman may be best remembered as a imposing figure of emotional discipline who stands stalwart in opposition to the monsters in men, it is when he was most human and empathetic to those who were just lost or suffered tragedy like he did that he is a true hero. And Kevin Conroy delivered that humanity just as wonderfully as he delivered being the implacable knight.
The great thing about taking the time with Two-Face is that we've been seeing Harvey as Bruce's friend in previous episodes. It makes the revelation about the demons he's been battling and his tragic turn a lot more heartbreaking. Speaking of heartbreaking, rest in peace, Kevin Conroy. Thank you for giving *the* voice of such an icon and for being such a great human being.
These videos are even more special now. RIP to the Goat of Batman portrayals. Mr. Kevin Conway, you are the Voice of Batman. Everytime I see different versions of Batman, I just think of Kevin speaking. He helped made the 90s animation era and forward so brilliant. Thank you, Kevin! Your legacy will always be in these animations and the Arkham video games. Thank you and I miss you.
given the absolutely tragic news we all recieved yesterday, I really hope we see blindwave cover all the way through Batman TAS, Justice League, JLU and Batman Beyond. The true era of Conroy Batman
Kevin Altieri said of the script, "It was better than anything the comics had ever done on that character. I'm pretty notorious for changing scripts, which I don't do with malice, but for a love of the medium. But that script didn't need to be changed very much. There were embellishments I gave to it, like adding the rainstorms to the staging of the psychiatrist's office."
Kevin Conroy was THE Batman and always will be, hearing that he passed away and Mark Hamil and other actors who worked beside him brings tears to my eyes. He will and is remembered as one of the greatest. I hope we see your reaction to this passing a few episodes down the line since these are prerecorded. Rest easy Batman.

In case anyones wondering why they don’t mention Conroys passing, it’s because this was recorded and edited weeks in advanced.
