When I started watching this video, I realized that it's been 3 years since I first found your channel! It was Vlogmas 2020, and I cannot begin to tell you how much your content has helped me get into a consistent planning routine AND budgeting my finances. Thank you for all you continue to do to help us!
This is such sound advise. I like that you keep it simple so it doesn’t become an unrealistic, unachievable, mountain to try and climb. I break mine down into 6 categories and I keep a goals sheet in my monthly section as well that I break up into weekly actionable steps. This gives me direction or I will try to do all the things all at once and I’m human so that leads to burnout and a sense of failure. Breaking it down allows me to focus on detailed tasks and gives me the satisfaction of accomplishment. Which in turn leads to consistent progress.
I love the idea of including a 'Going for the Goals ' page. I might break this down into monthly focuses and even weekly strategies for each goal. This would hopefully help to keep me progressing consistently.
Your videos have helped me so much- my co workers even noticed and ask me how I started- I always tell them follow your videos- I’m in restart mode. Definitely want to get on the health thing for real. Love your content.
I love this idea, and I am in the middle of revamping my goals for 2024. I wanted a simplified way to them and this idea gave me some ideas. Thank you for sharing. P. S I am missing some Vlogmas. I saw 1,2, 3, and 8, but not the others. I'm not sure what happened there on my end. But I will find them, lol, and watch them.
This happens to the majority of people who set goals. Gyms are full in January, and much emptier by mid-February, for example. Set a very limited number of goals. It's hard to stay motivated if you have so many goals you can't even remember them all! Three goals at a time is often ideal. Alaina talks about having 5 goals in this video, which is fine, but really lists 15 (because there are multiple goals in each category). Unless you are a very focused individual with excellent follow-through, this probably won't work for you. Work in 90 to 120 day segments, breaking the year into 3 or 4 parts. This allows you to change goals as your circumstances change throughout the year, or to modify your goals in the next round. Also, choose SMART/SMARTER goals. For example, don't say you want to get fit in 2024. Maybe say, my goal is to go to the gym 3 times per week, M-W-F, for 90 minutes. If you have a lot of success twice a week, but find you struggle with that 3rd trip, figure out a way to modify that for the next quarter or trimester. Maybe twice a week works well for you. Maybe Friday no longer fits your schedule, but you can go on one of the weekend days. Maybe you need a buddy to go with you that one day per week. Check in with your goals regularly, at least weekly, even daily. Set some baby step to accomplish towards your goal each week. You can do this! And, remember, even if you have a rough week and "fall off the wagon", you don't have to wait months to get started again! Tomorrow is a new day and a great day to start over.

This is similar to the wheel of life. You should have fitness, spiritual, financial, intellectual, career, social and relationship goals.
I need to do a food and symptom tracker. Do you have one in your shop?

Thanks!
Oh wow! Thank you so much!! You are so kind.
I didn’t see the big box stickers on your Etsy page only the small ones
I can write the goals but fall off the wagon in January. You probably already have some videos with practical ideas to help this?
