      Oh wow, it must have been a nice community out there. What was it like for your family, did they have a hospital

      @@lindsaylamont8292 wow that is so cool, so glad you have all that history. There wasn’t much there to find, they put up a few signs. Thanks for sharing Lindsay 🙏

    Just watched another You Tuber that was there at Big Bell, Lots history in that area, Abandoned homesteads, mines , etc, We had an outdoor dunny, For many years , The new house toilet , had to wait for 7 yrs , until council put pipes in . , Someone had a party in old house, Locals , or tourists camping , It happens a lot at the Gemfields, Thanks for my second look of the area, Cheers 🤠❤️🇦🇺

    I never knew about this place but then again I reckon there are many abandoned mining towns around the country. That was a BIG pub, especially when you see your aerial shots. Very cool. Pity this place wasn't in NSW as myself and a bunch of friends do "wastelander" photo shoots. This place would certainly suit that theme. 🙂

    Its amazing how well built the structure is considering how many other mining towns werent built so well

    So interesting, I have stopped by a few Ghost towns in Australia, so in the drone images of the downstairs rooms the underneath room has a Ghost walking in front of a pillar going left? ,..
    Great Post..

    I can't believe you were allowed in, every other video iv seen has had the people locked out. I also can't believe how big it is it's beautiful God imagine when it had everything still in it wow. Thanks for the look inside and sharing your video

    • @Donna.Buckingham
      @Donna.Buckingham  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah interesting, maybe it all fenced off now. I was surprised it wasn’t

    • @erroleabrown4317
      @erroleabrown4317 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Donna.Buckingham Yes it used to be fenced and locked but I guess it’s to uninteresting now to worry about it’s like every other old town out there

    • @Dags470
      @Dags470 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's clearly fenced off in the video. Walking through a broken gate doesn't make it OK. 🤷‍♂️

    We camped across the road between the old rail tracks, just after sunset our dogs went beserk looking towards the West . The character from Wolf Creek in a flanny shirt , akubra hat, backpack, scruffy jeans and a high powered rifle had snuck up to our camp. He was only about 25-30 metres away from us when the dogs saw him.. After he was spotted, he stood up, mumbled something then walked off behind the Big Bell hotel, never to be seen again...

    Was there any ore trucks rumbling through at night? The road past the pub is a haul road.

      We didn’t hear any during the night but the next morning when we got the photo on the front we saw 1 or two go past. After that it didn’t feel as isolated.
