As a LARPer, this is one of the best side-arms. It's easy to fire around corners or behind cover, and getting hit in the arm means you can still use it one-handed. Front-loading is also handy.
Wouldn't call the trigger pull on the Hammershot "standard", personally. It's one of, if not THE easiest trigger pull Hasbro ever engineered. A proper hair trigger.
Things worth noting: The trigger pull is buttery smooth, but that’s also a bad thing for this specifically. If you pull the trigger while priming, it won’t catch, so you can freely rotate the cylinder with 1 hand, but because the trigger is so easy to pull, you can sometimes skip darts if your finger is over the trigger whilst priming
When one of the absolute best blasters hasbro releases all year is a repaint of a mechanically identical blaster. I agree "if it aint broke, dont fix it". Though when they did this with the Stryfe for Modulus, the internals were slightly improved. And the Mediator was a very functional alteration of the Alpha Trooper. We know Hasbro is capable of making good new blasters. Whoever is currently in management and is demanding all these cheapo cost cutting measures is preventing that

Can you review the grape splatter repaint next? You're 100% right about how it's okay for Hasbro to re-release their good stuff with new paint or whatever. When they first announced alphastrike I was hoping they'd slowly become budget reskins of their staples (which have already covered their development costs) and Elite 2.0 would be new innovations and attempts to improve designs, like an improved elite dart or a new full-auto with rapidstrike ergonomics, hyperfire flywheels and Infinus autoloader. Sadly that is very much not what's happened though...

2 Things worth mentioning: 1. There's 3 different repaints. 2. Hasbro painted both sides (mostly). I grabbed one of the Caution tape styled ones off Amazon shortly before they ended up on sale in November... bummer. The stripes are on both sides though they do cut a bit out because they apparently don't want black paint on the engraved warnings. They also didn't color in the Nerf logo on the opposite side and no Zombiestrike logo on the other side of the handle. I like how on the Amazon page they only show the right side so people don't notice they kinda painted, but kinda skimped on the paint.
If you buy a hammershot for practical war use I totally recommend the Orange Mod Works O-Tac hammershot kit. +1 shot and about +20 fps. Also, buy a pack of Ekind wafflehead darts for superior accuracy at a better price point.
Fun fact about the hammer shot: when you hold down the trigger and you keep on priming the blaster you are rotating the barrel without shooting the blaster
Thank you for making a zombie series but my zombie strike slingfire is broken but I can not figure out what is wrong with it but the darts just keep getting jammed for no reason they are fresh new darts idk what’s wrong with it
I got the hazard version since its design only made it easier to make it look even more apocalyptic. I still need to throw in a new spring and cylinder, then scrap a Mavrick for it's barrel plastics. And the adventure force nexus pro muzzle piece can fit on a Mavrick well some of them.
I think the thing people wanted to know most in this review is if the "ugly side" of the blaster is painted, because hasbro's been skimping on that a lot lately.
There is a green and purple one too. Also I heard there were some issues with the boxes smelling awful and the yellow striped blaster being the wrong color (check google there are some differences).

Much cheaper internals. Tolerances are poor. Pins are weaker. I was disappointed. They’re getting returned.

You can duel Strongarms you just need to attach a sling to both and drape it over your back and pull and fire. This also works with Mavericks.
