This was very educational I have a BGE XL and planning on doing a 14 lbs. Could I do 2 Breasts at 6 lbs .?

Absolutely! Some folks only do breast meat for the holidays, but you cooking time would need to be adjusted accordingly. Thanks for watching!!!

Great video! How long would you cook a 20-21 pound Turkey on the BGE? Also, Do you happen to have a separate gravy recipe with all the trimmings?

A good rule of thumb is approximately 12 minutes per pound (cooking at 325°F). So a 21lb turkey would take around 4 1/2 hours. But remember it's really about temperature, not time. If you'd like to download our turkey cheat sheet for the Big Green Egg, you can find it here → bit.ly/BGEturkey2021

@@OutdoorHome Gravy is super simple. Gather the drippings including crust, stir & nts butter and flour, pepper (may need salt - mine did not) and white wine. Reduce for an incredible gravy.

To get new EGGheads started, we came up with the following guidelines to help you reach a few common cooking temperatures with ease. Download our temperature guide that shows how to set/adjust the top and bottom vents (with pictures) to dial-in your desired temperature 👉🏻 bit.ly/BGE-Temp-Guide

What are your thoughts about using this recipe and brining the turkey before? In the video, you didn't brine the turkey and just stuffed it with vegetables. Someone decides to brine will be changed the flavor.

What about a "cook from frozen turkey?!" I wanted to do this for xmas but my mom bought a stuffed butterball which must be cooked from frozen.. Any thoughts? Thank you!

@Outdoor Home I ended up doing 2 hrs in the oven and then moved it to the EGG for another 4-5 hrs. It turned out great! Thanks
