It been an expression for like ever since the State was founded, Albany are the only people that speak in the "old tounge" and still call it steamed hams though since everyone else started calling them Hamburgers. I live in Albany NY and each time we go to McDonalds, we always ask for their double steamed hams and they give us them no problem.
I love this meme because it sort of feels like some kind of beginner’s editing exercise:take something and put a spin on it with nothing but editing And everyone seems so excited to share their steamed hams That’s why I love editing dude, there really is no limit
If you could've edited out the parts about Krusty Burger and made it so that Skinner takes the hamburgers out of the oven, then the "old family recipe" and all that would've been true and this would've been perfect. Not complaining, though. This was still really good.
Well, if I cut out the Krusty Burger part, Skinner wouldn't really have a reason to bring up that it's a family recipe, so my hands are sort of tied for that part. That's okay, though. With everything unchanged from Chalmers' perspective, he suddenly seems needlessly suspicious even though it's still completely reasonable, which actually kinda works. But, yeah, the oven part definitely could've been better. It wasn't entirely clear that he was preparing "steamed hams" the whole time. I suppose I could've used some shots from him checking on the oven? 🤷♀️ Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you liked it!
"You know, these hamburgers are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty Burger--" "Ohoho, no! Patented Skinner Burgers! Ol' family recipe!" "... For steamed hams." "Yes!" "Ah, I see. You are an odd fellow, but I must say... You steam a good ham." *Burger is presented, purposely poorly edited to not look grilled. Chalmers resumes eating, and Skinner's reaction is framed to look like he's concerned about the aurora borealis and not how Chalmers feels*
desu38 Huh, I didn’t get any notification for this video until the most recent reply. You’d think I would get a message for the video’s creator replying to my comment, at least. Ah, TH-cam... Anyway, all fair points. And Chalmers being overly and constantly suspicious of Skinner is definitely what makes this, imo. I was just thinking that when Chalmers points out the similarity to Krusty burgers and Skinner replies with the “old family recipe” line, it kind of breaks the script since Skinner is really lying. Not to nitpick. Again, this was well done and made me laugh. Appreciate the time and effort, and your response. Take care!
I think it's really interesting that you could completely change the video with barely any edits by simply recontextualising the explanations as true. That's true art!
The song should have been cut to "Skinner with his - explanations, The superintendent's gonna need his medication! When he hears Skinner's explanations, There'll be in town tonight! "
This might be one of my favorite Steamed Hams remixes. The subtlety of it is brilliant. I had to rewatch it to really understand what was happening. There are a few areas it could be improved though as many have stated. Any chance you will make a second edition? Good job either way!
It's pretty cool that you went back in time and actually made steamed hams an albany expression just for this video.

Also, Burger King is called Hams King here
I don't get it
@@hornybastard1839 my question is why are they called steamed hams if they are actually grilled?
DonaldRTS Oh, ummm. One th-... Sorry gotta go to the mall with my mom, ttyl
in this context skinner's stuttering goes from being caught in a lie to his childhood being ruined
feels bad man
The Aurora Borealis is his way to cope
"oh egad! my is ruined!"
(͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)BecauseICan( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º) damn I didn't come here to feel.
neither did i
How is your childhood ruined?
"My roast is ruined! But what if...I were to stretch my calves on the windowsill?"
Just the logical thing to do.
ChunG do you want to join me?
Summer Wolfs
Why is there smoke coming out Your oven symore
Oh! That is not smoke, it's steam!
But his roast wasn't ruined in this version, so it certainly is!
he never says his roast is ruined because he's steaming hams
"But what if... I were to *stretching my calves on the windowsill. Isometric exercise.* "
Light Walker 10/10 English
Delightful Seymour

I love how the door just emanates an aetherly glow while they're eating.

You do one.

"Ohoho, no! Patented Skinner Burgers! Ol' family recipe!"

"Yes!"

Thank you! You're the real MVP!
I feel like he should say that Steamed Hams are actually Grilled, then Steamed
He should say "it's just an expression."
1:42 skinnier is confused because he didn't grill the burgers
The crack in the kitchen door subtly showing the aurora was great.
Anyone here from Albany? How are the steamed hams there?
Very tasty. Whenever my cousin in Utica comes over they always complain about them being grilled though.
Happy Viruscomputerbad2003 delightfully devilish.
I’m not from Albany but I’ve been to Albany, and I can tell you easily that the Steamed Hams there are absolutely godly.
i don't speak albanian
The song should have been cut to "Skinner with his - explanations, The superintendent's gonna need his medication! When he hears Skinner's explanations, There'll be in town tonight! "
you should've cut out "HELP! HEEEEELP!!"
edit: woah 700 likes
The northern lights are killing her
No it’s funny because Seymour’s mom is legit afraid of the northern lights
I imagine being exposed to solar winds to be really painful.
yeah, actually though, if you touched northern lights, you would die. it's actually worse than fire... solar radiation's dangerous, man.
I love how he still said no to Chalmers seeing it
This was my favorite of all this type of thing I've seen, and I've watched more than I'd like to admit.
I bet the northern light are going to be amazing in skinner house .
oh god aurora borealis is taking over
delightfully seymore!
No explanation for the grilled patty
You gotta grill em first for flavor
iknowme His childhood was ruined when he said that. It’s why he was at a loss of words.
Family recipe, patented
Explanation:
"It's a regional dialect."
Maybe he had never questioned it since it was an old family recipe?
I'm from Albany and I never heard the phrase steamed hams use before
Umm... Mandela Effect.
Steam Hams but the uploader's explanations are somehow crazier than Skinner's
Oh, not in Albany, no, it's a Utica expression.
You must be from North Albany, steamed hams is a South Albany expression.
Tune in next time for: Steamed Hams but Chalmers actually needs his medication
The aurora borealis is green but its glow is red? Hm, maybe that's what happens when it's not a regular AB, but a personal one.
The song should have said, “Skinner and his explanations” and “When superintendent here his explanations”
When the kitchen door opened it looked like a plasma fire.
I just can't deal with 1:53 lmfao 😂😭😂😭
I’m always here for to see-more from “steam-our”
he should've said delightfully isometric
I too often debate myself on wether i should stretch my calves on the windowsill.
Huh aurora borealis actually appeared
This needs more attention
Skinner's really bad at telling the truth.
AURORA BOREALIS KILLED ME
Lore of Steamed hams but Skinner's crazy explanations are retroactively true momentum 100
I liked already because of your pfp
erectin' a river!
Delightfully devilish.
this is one of the best ones ive seen yet, good job
You’ve just steamed a good ham.
720p ain't what it used to be...
Skinner could've turned off the oven when he returned with "steamed hams" to not cause too much aurora borealis at least(or not cause it at all)
I saw literally only two edits in the whole video. This doesn't deserve anywhere near the attention it got
Then you weren't paying attention.
This video makes skinner seem halfway normal and that makes me uncomfortable
Underrated video
I asked a lot of Albanians. They say Steamed Hams a lot when they talk about this meme.
Should do a verison of him telling that its brunt and that it is kursty burgers
hmmm steamed hams
Well I’m from Philadelphia and I’ve never heard anyone use the phrase steamed cream cheese (I recently moved to Australia now)
Ever since I paused at 1:54 I knew it actually was Auroura Borialis
You should have edited the grilling away
never doubt seymour.
Skinner never knew why they call them Steamed Hams in Albany, it's not his fault
Yes
why is smoke coming out of your carage seymour?
You dident change much
What happened at 1:54
Aurora borealis.
Could you make one where Chalmer actually gets to see the *A U R O R A B O R E A L I S*
2:17
Nice
What this episode?
100th. I'm special now. Bow down to me.
you fucked it up at the oven part, skinner shouldn't lie about the smoke coming from his oven.
Um... Oh, that isn't smoke, it's steam, steam from the steamed hams they're having. Mmm, steamed hams!
He should of said "I thought we were having steamed hams..." not "I thought we were having steam clams..."
Why isn't the steamed hams aren't steamed Seymour?
Fyter You Grill em, _then_ steam em.
This might be one of my favorite Steamed Hams remixes. The subtlety of it is brilliant. I had to rewatch it to really understand what was happening. There are a few areas it could be improved though as many have stated. Any chance you will make a second edition? Good job either way!
Had to dislike it due to the absence of the fire truck.
Not bad
DESU
Haha!!!
Pause at 1:54
2000th like
Pretty lazy when half the video is unedited.
I could run it through Google translate and paste a hip hop beat over it, if you'd like. 👌
gave it a thumbs down. steammed hams isnt an Albany expression.
The title and content don't match. You only altered one thing
His name is Seymour not skinner
Pin me.
2:17
so u think gaslighting is funny huh????
The description says Albanian. I thought it was an expression in Albany not in Albania.
Riiight, next you're gonna tell me Canadians aren't from Canady. I'm not falling for your tricks.
Not bad
