How kind I find that
I’ve started tattooing watching your videos and watching you explain this concept, showing how you hold the machine has helped me tremendously
You should tattoo from bottom right to top left so you don’t rub away your stencils.
Reverse if your left handed 😁
Won't wipe away so easy if you let it dry long enough
I learned if you clean the area with alcohol let it air dry then apply stencil it will last longer without rubbing off. I also dab the ink and not rub it
Doesn't wipe away if you don't wipe

That’s my grip style!! Same exact way yet I naturally did it it just feels right and you grow a callus that makes this way easier to do on your middle finger
That's why I only use short pens, with thick grip. With this grip I hold the machine very deep and the weight above becomes annoying.
Cheers thanks much appreciated thats helpped miles cheers
Thank you for sharing all of this information about tattooing I wish I've been find you before many years ago you would saved me for so lot's of mistakes I did......!!!!!!!!!
That's exactly how I learned it. 👍
😇
I'm really injoying these tips thank you
What’s the perfect volts to set your machine at when doing line work ?
there isn’t one
Good tips thank you!!
on a scale from 1-10 , 10 being as hard as you can grip, how strong is your grip pressure when doing line work ???
Thanks!
Yes I love the new finger ledge carts
I just started and done some very small tattoo on my leg, I've been holding the top part with my pointer finger so I'll try this I guess, is it harder to do linework on your own body?
Thank you
Ok thank you 🙏🏻
I hope you could make a live video on weekends!!! ❤ I buy my own machine and my husband one with pedal the other is wireless.
Some good tips still
I've been doing that naturally😊
What needle are you using
Right
Clean ass lines!
What can I use to clean the ink? I smudge it all over the fake skin! Thanks ❤
So it looks like your needle is going at slight angle? or are you going in forward motion? my friend owns a tattoo shop ,he is almost done with a full sleeve on me I mean actual full sleeve to , and me watching this now has me training, ive already done two with a homemade gun on myself of course and he said it's really good ,point is if your things about trying it, try it don't sell yourself short you will never know if your good unless you try ,and yes I could buy a cheap machine, but I wanted to make and do my first tattoo with something I made .
How do you print the tattoo and Use it on skin?
It’s almost like. Controlled drawing.
Moving your hand but not the pinky 👌
What size needle are you using here?
Do you have any recommendations for machines for a beginner? Have been advised by some studios to get one and tattoo fake skin but there’s soooo many machines out therr
What do you use in lining ??RL OR Flatliners
I love this guy he gives me the confidence to continue working at making this my career ! Thank you so much for the effort you put in these
Which paper quality are you using
Would that be the pinky laying or in its tiptoes?
Brotha how many niddel u use to make big line
Looks like a 3RL if I'm not mistaken
I’m just turned 30 and been into art my whole life drawing and doing somE graffiti. Do you think there’s still time for me to learn how to become a tattoo artist
What needle?
Whats a good lower prices rechargeable tattoo machine to start with.
This is a question for the people that know how to tattoo. When i tattoo why after I’m done does it start to fade away and look like crap? Any tips
What needle is that
What needle are you using in this video?
Looks like a 7rs
Is it 9rl or 11rl
What size cartridge is that
Im no pro but i put alot of tats on my legs. Depending the spot i have the worst time trying to do a straight like. Its like a child drawing. I can do perfect lines on a flat surface but not when im actually doing a tat
What type/size of needle is he using?
I would say probably a 9RL or a 9RS because of the thickness of the linework, can’t really tell cause of the ink in the tube.
I Agree
I was thinking 11rl
Needle size?
is bigger needle better for beginners for pine practice??
no. challenge yourself all the time but yea start basic then venture out
Bast dark tattoo ink brand?
45 degree angle?
No way, you want to be almost as straight up and down as possible or you’ll get a blowout in your line. Trust me I learned the hard way on my own skin years ago 😂
For lining made easy check out THE SHARP
Don't know if you still reply but why does my ink stick when I tattoo human skin but when I practice on fake skin it doesn't work
Ink tends to appear lighter on fake skins compared to live skin, so unless your ink is not appearing at all, that could be a depth issue or it could be an issue with the fake skin. I'd recommend using Reelskin or Frankenskin if you're not using them already.
What is needle size?
I would guess a 14 or 15RL. That seems to be the go-to for thick lines for this style
Does anyone know what cartridge he’s using?
Usually I see brown ones are Kwadron
Your the only other person I see do this
Insider tips
Whst size needles are best best I'ma beginner literally just starting out I could use any advice.
Same here.. the machine i bought came with 4 packs of different needles and sizes. Im just working on getting my lines straight i have a bad shaky hand
Please what is the name of the board you are making the artwork on
It's practice skin, and the one I'm using is from ReelSkin
Whst os the best depth?
about 2mm
❤️
What size needle is your go to for lines
I usually use a 14RL & 7RL for my tattoos as it's mostly Neo-Trad
I put my pinky finger🤙 down there. _”it’s still not deep enough”_ she said 🙀
Hey I heard from a channel on youtube that when u line with a 1 or 3 liner its better to have a shorter stroke, not 4mm stroke is that true?
I use 3.5 stroke for small lines
@@Tattooing101 thanks for the fast response and content!
Looks like you're riding the cartridge. Is that not the case? Good tip NGL
What am I doing wrong when I wipe it it wipes out my ink on fake skin 😢
Don’t wipe. Just pat
are you gonna stretch the skin
But it looks like the way u tattooing it's riding the tube ...I rather see the needle
What fake skin is that?
Rl#?
How come the way I've held my pencil wrong my whole life I'm good for tattooing😂😂😂
tip 1; learn to draw...
