His monologue in episode 1 was spectacular. I'm sure that alone guaranteed this Emmy.

I agree, though many of the younger generation(s) might not even be aware of who she was, possibly. Or because it was one of the last presentations of the night and they had stood up and sat down any number of times and were just done with all of that.

This guy walks around with the persona Of beening a hard nosed, authoritative, military veteran....the problem is the man never served a half hour in the military (not even the Coast Guard) I swear, the entertainment industry should be classified as a mental disorder....
He did alot for the USO when he was on Major Dad and Simon and Simon.

I don't see the problem here. I see this as effective entertainment. It seems like you want to require all actors to have come from a different field before going into acting. It is also curious as to why you went to the trouble to look his Emmy win up if you weren't already a fan of his work.
