It's been my experience (after going round and round in circles for the last few days) that once your ad account is disabled they don't offer you the opportunity to chat. Not only that, they don't tell you anything. My ad account got shut down recently (in the last 2 months) for something I did 10+ years ago, now I can never advertise again on FB for me or my clients. It's criminal.

With how Facebook has been these last few months, this video couldn't be more important. If you have a Facebook provided marketing "expert" assigned to your account, we've had great success getting accounts back when getting them to open the case with the internal review team as opposed to just submitting an appeal yourself via the relevant forms.
For anyone watching this in 2021, Facebook no longer has a "Still Need Help?" button. Nor do they have live chat AT ALL. If your account gets flagged like mine did without even posting a single thing... then you are going to be waiting a long time. It has been 4 days for me so far and not even an email or anything back.

Yep, same issue with me. I went via an alternative method but received a response which re-directed me back to the exact same page where my Advertising Account is not listed from the drop down.

I was able to recover my banned business account recently. As soon as the ads were tagged as violating fb policies, I turned it off. Then I made an appeal. The next day, they banned my account. I made an appeal again saying, I find it unfair they disabled my account whereas I turned off the ads as soon as they said it violated their rules. Few days later, my access is back. Now I created another ads using the same business account :) So, before you guys make an appeal, it is better to turn off the ads first. In case your argument seems wrong to them causing your account getting banned, you have a valid reason to say that their action is unfair.

You can't send that form without selecting your account from the drop down menu (which doesn't work).
Love your videos!! Do you have any advice on what to do if there are limits placed on a fb page? It's not disabled...but there are limits, and I'm not exactly sure what those limits are.
i tried going to a review and was asked to upload a copy of an identification document - seriously? no thank you Facebook, i don't feel safe to upload a document like passport on your platform where data security is a joke!

@Amanda Bond Only a long term play - having spent a good amount on the accounts and getting a rep. This way if the account goes down the rep will get on the matter as well and escalate the issue. Otherwise all the things you listed are 100% on the money!

There seems to be a step missing here. You start talking about a "new account manager" and adding a new credit card, but no mention of why you'd create a new ad account manager or how.
Hey Alexandra- if your account is disabled and Facebook IS NOT going to reinstate access it means you can’t run ads. So if you want to continue running ads you need to create a new ad manager. You can do this in your Business Manager- create new ad account when asked for payment use a different credit card than the one connected to the restricted account. If you don’t plan to runs ads then you don’t have to do anything. But if you want to you’d need another ad account.

Hi Amanda, please help. I just started a website where I sell specific merchandise. I had someone else create the website and the Facebook ads. After launching the ads, Facebook disabled my ads account after two to three hours of running the ads. When I appealed, I left the comment section blank. After 3 days, I got an unpleasant email from Facebook stating that my Facebook will remain disabled, and my case was closed. I reappealed. This time I did fill out the comment section stating that I disagreed and if I have violated any Facebook policy, please point them out and point out the content where I violated as well. I thanked them for their time. I honestly do not know what the issues were. I hope they will reconsider. If I don't succeed, can I just create another ad account for the same domain name?

@@shimmy1984 In the bottom left-hand corner of Ads Manager, there's a circled question mark icon. When you click the "?" icon, it launches the help centre pop-up on the right-hand side of the screen and there's a giant button with the Messenger symbol that says "Contact Support Team."

What I hate about FB is that they do everything automatically. They disabled my ad account just because I added the word "gun" (yes I was advertising Massage Gun"). No matter how smart their algorithms is. They still made tons of mistakes blocking our accounts. Your video is helpful btw.
Imagine being Facebook and having to sort through millions of pieces of data each day? Of course there's well intentioned humans, like yourself, trying to help people... AND there's also a ton of spammers. They're really trying to protect our user experience so that we stay on the platform (which allows their revenue to go up 'cause there's more ad inventory). It sucks... but when you put it the way I described above, it's easier to not take it personally.
I cannot retrieve my account back. So, I am forced to delete my add account. Now, I cannot delete the add account because I get the message "Your ads account has recently been flagged because of unusual activity. For security reasons, any ads you're running will be paused until you can confirm your account information by contacting Facebook." Frustrating is an understatement. I'd use maddening.
This was the same issue I had and so far I was only able to get my first account recovered through some freelance company Cyberconsults.org and my second one is still pending at the moment
it really depends what type of service/ad your are promoting. i run ads for a personal development coaching program. they say mlm is not allowed and get my accounts disabled. while it is affiliate marketing it is not mlm. even with more low profile landing pages they still disable my ad accounts. if you're watching this video and thinking about fb ads. have patience and tons of family members to create new business managers to continue running ads.

It's ridiculous. They've really tightened the rules due to the pandemic and political environment. If your personal account has been blocked, unfortunately you're on the banned advertiser list and will not be reinstated. I'd look to other platforms as a source of traffic and seriously reflect on your behaviours and marketing style to see why you got put on the banned list in the first place.

Try entering your account ID in the comment field. Or appeal using one of the other methods like the appeal button within your account or the email they sent stating you were disabled.

The form will not let me submit the appeal without selecting an account. If I create a new ad account within the business manager will it still have my original data? It's really difficult to judge, but it sounds like you need to create an ad account with a credit card number associated. We have heard of people having issues by creating multiple accounts. The only way really is to keep at it with Facebook directly, unfortunately. You aren't alone and we are helpless over here! I know they are behind because of Covid, so maybe wait a bit and try again. Best of luck, -Megan🤓
How to fix it on instagram? No permission, You can't create a promotion because your ad account is not active. Sign into Ads manager to reactivate your account, or switch to a different ad account.
Both FB and IG are managed through the Business Manager, so the first step is to make sure you have that set up and that your accounts are connected. Make sure you have made your Instagram account a business profile (personal profiles cannot be connected to a business). Hope that helps! -Megan🤓

My Facebook ad account has been deactivated, without any warning? I’ve never even had an ad on this account rejected. This notification appeared shortly after I posted a boosted ad, but six hours later I received a notification that this advert had been approved and is now running. Do you have any advice on what to do if there are limits placed on a fb page? It's not disabled...but there are limits, and I'm not exactly sure what those limits are.
i tried going to a review and was asked to upload a copy of an identification document - seriously? no thank you Facebook, i don't feel safe to upload a document like passport on your platform where data security is a joke!

@Amanda Bond Only a long term play - having spent a good amount on the accounts and getting a rep. This way if the account goes down the rep will get on the matter as well and escalate the issue. Otherwise all the things you listed are 100% on the money!

There seems to be a step missing here. You start talking about a "new account manager" and adding a new credit card, but no mention of why you'd create a new ad account manager or how.
Hey Alexandra- if your account is disabled and Facebook IS NOT going to reinstate access it means you can’t run ads. So if you want to continue running ads you need to create a new ad manager. You can do this in your Business Manager- create new ad account when asked for payment use a different credit card than the one connected to the restricted account.
If you don’t plan to runs ads then you don’t have to do anything. But if you want to you’d need another ad account.
So... what do I do if FB doesn't have a person reply to my filled out help request but an AI answers me instead and closes the ticket? No chance...

glad i came across this video and did the chat with fb business support. Sadly our account is disabled indefinitely. so sad, they even called to explain what really happened. i guess we just had to make a new business account.
Hi Amanda, please help. I just started a website where I sell specific merchandise. I had someone else create the website and the Facebook ads. After launching the ads, Facebook disabled my ads account after two to three hours of running the ads. When I appealed, I left the comment section blank. After 3 days, I got an unpleasant email from Facebook stating that my Facebook will remain disabled, and my case was closed. I reappealed. This time I did fill out the comment section stating that I disagreed and if I have violated any Facebook policy, please point them out and point out the content where I violated as well. I thanked them for their time. I honestly do not know what the issues were. I hope they will reconsider. If I don't succeed, can I just create another ad account for the same domain name?
How can I fix "unavailable boost"? If I use another facebook account for ads, I won't be able to retrieve the money I have from my previous account. I got some "balance" there before it was restricted.

What do I do when I cant even log into ads manager? it tells me to log in but when i do it says my account has been disabled and it cant be reversed. i was making a business page for my real estate services, I finished up setting my cover photos and important info and about to move on to making my first ad when it told me my account had broken the community standards and needs to be reviewed, sent a photo of my id that they asked for. tried to log back in 2 days later and its permanently disabled. what can I do? many others in my real estate agency have Facebook account business pages and I followed they same templates they did.

My problem is different: my personal profile was disabled (I don't know why), and the biggest issue for me is that I don't have anymore access to the connected Page, which is still online (not disabled) and from which facebook is still taking out money to run the ad...............with no possibility for me to control it!! I cant pause the ad and they're "taking" out my money.

@@shimmy1984 In the bottom left-hand corner of Ads Manager, there's a circled question mark icon. When you click the "?" icon, it launches the help centre pop-up on the right-hand side of the screen and there's a giant button with the Messenger symbol that says "Contact Support Team."

What I hate about FB is that they do everything automatically. They disabled my ad account just because I added the word "gun" (yes I was advertising Massage Gun"). No matter how smart their algorithms is. They still made tons of mistakes blocking our accounts. Your video is helpful btw.

Imagine being Facebook and having to sort through millions of pieces of data each day? Of course there's well intentioned humans, like yourself, trying to help people... AND there's also a ton of spammers. They're really trying to protect our user experience so that we stay on the platform (which allows their revenue to go up 'cause there's more ad inventory).
It sucks... but when you put it the way I described above, it's easier to not take it personally.

I cannot retrieve my account back. So, I am forced to delete my add account. Now, I cannot delete the add account because I get the message "Your ads account has recently been flagged because of unusual activity. For security reasons, any ads you're running will be paused until you can confirm your account information by contacting Facebook." Frustrating is an understatement. I'd use maddening.

This was the same issue I had and so far I was only able to get my first account recovered through some freelance company Cyberconsults.org and my second one is still pending at the moment
it really depends what type of service/ad your are promoting. i run ads for a personal development coaching program. they say mlm is not allowed and get my accounts disabled. while it is affiliate marketing it is not mlm. even with more low profile landing pages they still disable my ad accounts. if you're watching this video and thinking about fb ads. have patience and tons of family members to create new business managers to continue running ads.

You cannot advertise from a personal account. The only way you will get a business manager account through which you can advertise is to create a business page. Best of luck! -Megan🤓
If your personal account has been blocked, unfortunately you're on the banned advertiser list and will not be reinstated. I'd look to other platforms as a source of traffic and seriously reflect on your behaviours and marketing style to see why you got put on the banned list in the first place.

Try entering your account ID in the comment field. Or appeal using one of the other methods like the appeal button within your account or the email they sent stating you were disabled.

The form will not let me submit the appeal without selecting an account. If I create a new ad account within the business manager will it still have my original data? Did you find a way to resolve your issue? I created a business account 2-3 days ago, today I tried logging back in to complete the business account and it said, “you’re business account has been disabled, it has been reviewed this decision and it cannot be reversed. “ Beyond confusing bc I’ve yet to run an ad on Facebook and haven’t even finished the business page profile. i've done this a few times with success when i could drop down on the list and select my account. Now my account is not listed in the dropdown, so when I try to send a message with my act.# included it says it cannot even send the response through facebook since it doesn't have a record of an account. What if the review team tells me to consider it as a final decision? I don't think it's possible to create a new ad account while one is banned.
We have heard of people having issues by creating multiple accounts. The only way really is to keep at it with Facebook directly, unfortunately. You aren't alone and we are helpless over here! I know they are behind because of Covid, so maybe wait a bit and try again.

No permission, You can't create a promotion because your ad account is not active. Sign into Ads manager to reactivate your account, or switch to a different ad account.
Both FB and IG are managed through the Business Manager, so the first step is to make sure you have that set up and that your accounts are connected. Make sure you have made your Instagram account a business profile (personal profiles cannot be connected to a business).

My Facebook ad account has been deactivated, without any warning? I’ve never even had an ad on this account rejected. This notification appeared shortly after I posted a boosted ad, but six hours later I received a notification that this advert had been approved and is now running. But when I go in to my ads account the status at the top is still telling me the account is disabled? I’ve appealed, and currently waiting for a response.
