Well, in said manga Lilith actually is the one who ends up taking Jedah down, after Morrigan lets her use her energy as back-up. And she does manage to retain her own identity in the end, living as a separate individual from Morrigan.
I've always imagined how a sequel would look like after 10 years since the last game. now that we get 3D SF, mortal Kombat, MVC and so on, they could play around with the aesthetic a bit (I wouldn't like to see those MVC 3 or SF4 models though) and give a nice vintage horror film vibe, which is what it was based on in the first place. If they ever get to work on a sequel, I just hope they don't try to make it fit in with the current fighting game trends just to make it more likeable, because making games that feel unique and different is the key, imo.
Tekken 2 had come out 2 years earlier which had the characters Devil Kazuya and Angel. I think its that and they just wanted to avoid the trope of bad character has heavenly counterpart.
You know, in a way Lilith is almost like a precursor to V in Devil May Cry. A Capcom character who is part of an extremely powerful demon that got split away from their original body, and now has to re-merge with their counterpart or else their temporary bodies will fade away and they'll die. Granted, they are completely different in terms of their powers and personalities, but you can't deny they follow pretty similar stories
FINALLY, BEST GIRL GETS HER DESERVED SPOT, the only character that appears in every single video doing something, I really enjoyed the Small Sketch at the start. But I'm gonna be honest, this is also damn sad, I wish these videos would never end, it's weird to see such detailed video about Darkstalkers, one of the Best Fighting games! Thank you for this amazing show!
If only DarkStalkers was more popular we could of had more games. Out of all of the fighting games out there. Darkstalkers is my favorite b/c of how much character it has.
I don't see how anyone would see the character as androgynous, she has a very strong female form. Bridget is a a male who looks female not truly androgynous either. Androgynous would a person who isn't easy to figure out the gender while looking like it could be one or the other

Lilith is kinda cute, and is an interesting character. I'd like to imagine that the re-merged Morrigan take turns exploring the world, ruling Makai, or interacting with each other as a friendly familial relationship. Also, Genevieve would still be an interesting character.

By this time, it is very difficult someone can do it especially because one must lived the game itself and running in the veins the passion and excitement. BB hood cries while remembering her grandmother, grabs the opponent, spanks them while her tears form a puddle, and then tosses them into the puddle and they take damage while submerged... The most absolute wtf bizarre special moves I've ever witnessed

Lilith is cuter-and better looking-than Morrigan in my opinion. It's nice to hear her backstory in depth, and yes, Lillith deserves to live as her own person.

i love the vs. series being a continuation of darkstalkers story(like morrigan accepting being queen,felicia's gang being older & lilith still being conscious but now making morrigan stronger.) and i like that they kept her story in cross edge.(one of a few things i liked about that game along with her and morrigan meeting etna from disgaea,though i wish flonne & laharl were there as well as it would've been interesting seeing flonne teach lilith about love with how much of a love freak she is.would love to see another disgaea x darkstalkers crossover.:3)
I just finished watching all your darkstalkers videos yesterday and was wondering when you will do an episode about Lilith (seeing how you may like her a lot taking in count the times you use her Sprite and voice lines that are actually really funny) and you surprise me with this! Awesome video! I really do love all the Darkstalkers characters, and how they play off each other was always interesting to watch. On a somewhat related note; I've been a Darkstalkers fan since I was a kid, and just found out that Ruby Heart was intended to be a Pirate Ghost lady for the series. Please let it be real one day!
Lilith is awesome and she was always my favorite. I like Lilith because she's very child-like and playful, plus, she doesn't feel "slutty" like Morrigan does. And I love her green, glowing bats. 🥰 As for her story: I had the idea that after she merges into Morrigan, that one moment prevents her from fading away and dying, and afterward, she can come in and out of Morrigan at will, so she's not confined to Morrigan's body. And Morrigan can not control Lilith, so she can't force Lilith to come inside of her whenever Morrigan wants. It's Lilith's decision. I like to think that during a fight in other games (that features Lilith and Morrigan fighting together) when Lilith goes into Morrigan's body, Morrigan's power is doubled and stronger, but when Lilith is not inside her, Morrigan is only as powerful as she was when Lilith was not inside her.. I hope this was easy to understand.. I'm not good at describing ideas.. I hope I didn't make my idea to confusing.. 😂
I really want Lillith to come back in future games. I think the idiea that Morrigan is feeling lonely, given the variouos events over time. And making a body for her. Preferably not vampire/succubi. But instead as a long lived humanoid. One who is rif with magic, runes, ritual casting and a new figthing style. One that isn't tied to the Ainsboroughs-except Morrigan, the sibling.

I know there's a lot of people that love trying to figure out who's the best between Morrigan and Lilith, but I almost always wondered "Is there really a wrong answer here? They're like the same person when you think about it.... Why not just take both? Can't go wrong with that selling your soul to both halves..." lol. It's nice Capcom referenced her in Juri's newest outfit... but it's just not the same as having Lilith herself.... or rather, just that whole franchise back from the grave. "Darkstalkers aren't dead" indeed... though, it's not truly Capcom giving them life like they should. They're not dead because us as fans refuse to let them die... until their true resurrection comes, that is. Heck, if ARIKA's Street Fighter EX characters can come back after almost 20 years, I can believe anything can come back at this point.

I used Felicia until the moment I saw her and never used another character in Vampire Savior. I miss her and that franchise.

Demon archetypes are way more overdone then the angel archetypes, especially nowadays. I kind of miss angels with all these demon/succubi around
