You're not going to believe this, but while in the Army, I was the Army photographer for the Vietnam Veterans Day parade. The second guest...(Mr. Erderly at 17:34) I photographed in the streets of New York during the parade. I have a slide of him from 1973. (I'm guessing at the spelling of his name)

So much treasure from the late 80s early 90s and this charming cable access show proves it. The hastily constructed set, the host and cohost keeping in character and the choice of guests. Perfect. One commenter negatively compared this to Andy Kaufman. Actually, reverse high praise!
I am glad to see someone else who really appreciated the brilliance of this show. Did you see at 20:30 where David was trying to hold in his laugh as to not break character? and if you notice,he also had a rip in the crotch of his pants.

Imagine Johnny Carson of the Tonight Show. Now imagine three or four of his most entertaining guests, say Frank Sinatra, Don Rickles, maybe Dean Martin. Now imagine each of them undergoing prefrontal electro shock therapy. And again.....and again....and maybe one more time. And then right after, doing a show together, and that is Beyond Vaudeville. Hi...yooooo!

Brother Theodore was either "horror" or "comedy", not "horror/comedy". No truer quote has ever been paraphrased. Theodore was indeed wasted in the mediocre "The Burbs".
