So they changed it to William Blake to synch the initials, and kept the inscription the same, so it still had the exact meaning. Pretty clever
@@Max-zi5wx lol sure but translating something into a different language without losing the central idea and connotation can be difficult. They did a pretty good job of maintaining the original vision, especially for such an iconic scene.
Somehow I feel that if the Metastasis' Jesse really wanted he could have easily beaten up Metastasis' Tuco... which makes the entire Tuco character completely ridiculous
But that ruins the power dynamic of the scene. In BB Walt is clearly uncomfortable so he grimaces and puts his hands up with a generic dad joke of “you got me”. That’s all he can think of. @MidnightRaces But worse. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Literally every oscar-winning diolauge could've ruined the director and actor's career depending on how they said it, how they portrayed their character's emotions, and how they executed doing so. Imagine how cringe "I am the danger" would've sounded on a pokemon villain with no motivation, reasonable backstory, and with that fake raspy anime voice on a kids show. As opposed to watching it on BrBa the first time, and obsorbing the context of the situation to see that Walter has truly lost any sort of caution, he's gotten cocky, he's pushing his wife away even more, and he's in big fucking trouble, while still being right. Or in resovoir dogs, if Mr. Orange told the truth while talking normally and cutting Mr. White off, instead of how it's actually delivered. He's riddled with guilt and writhing in pain, even though he knows he'll kill him if he tell the truth, he spits it out. So ya see, delivery is literally one of the biggest factors in cinema and theater. It is the basis of a good performance.
Jeeeez, the reason Hank’s assassination attempt in BB is so god damn intense is because Hank does react like a human- hell, you can see Dean Norris’ eyes bulge and redden, along with the groaning. Another thing is that you don’t know Hank actually got the bullet in until he fires, which is something Metastasis really fucked up because he goes back to playing wounded AFTER we see him get the bullet in. Furthermore, in BB The cousins are terrifying because they seem to enjoy killing.. while in Metastasis, their movements and behavior is always blank.. DAMN! I love Metastasis for giving me the 2 star Breaking Bad so I could laugh.
Love how you can hear sounds from Breaking Bad spliced into metástasis, a good example being hank's grunting as he crushes one of the Salamanca twin's legs with the car
I noticed how Metástasis tends to have less gore. In the Twins’ attack scene, one thing that made it really stress inducing for me was how rough the blood looked, it really gave the feeling of the danger Hank was in, it felt real and that Hank was actually going to die in seconds if that bullet doesn’t go into the chamber. In metástasis, it kind of looks like red water, too colourless. Just like most of metástasis, it functions, but it could be better.
If I were the Colombian version of Hank I would have laughed my ass off after the "muy facil" despite lying in my own blood and about to die in a few minutes 🤣
Got to give it to Metastasis. They hired such a top notch actor to play both the cousins, and he perfectly portrays them as emotionless, ice-cold blooded killers. True psychos.
Weird thing to notice here, but honestly if the dude had just told Tuco "sorry I thought it'd sound cool" he probably would've been fine, Tuco's high enough that he'd probably just laugh and tell him to piss off
That's the second time I see this exact comparison and I'm laughing my ass off, he doesn't look at all like Mickey Mouse and the comparison is so random but it works so well lol.
The Salamanca Twins in Breaking Bad actually sound intimidating and when Marco said “Too Easy” he said it in a way like he truly despised Hank, while Metastasis’ version sounded so dull and monotonous
8:41 ok now those cuts are definetely real, the way the upper skin layer squishes that pumps the blood out is crazy, one interesting detail you havent noticed.
I actually cackled at the 8:55 shot with Hank trying to put the bullet into the gun because it has like a split second shot of the bullet falling and clinking to the ground. It's is so funny to me. I had a feeling they were going to mess that tiny little shot up because it seemed like a really technical shot to pull off and of course they would.
Honestly, Metástasis had some really good ideas in the Salamanca fight. The original's edit has all these extra shots that make it feel choppy by comparison (like during the car hit), being able to see the shooter through the breaking window is much easier to follow, and having Hank (well, Henry) play dead right before the killing shot does a lot to explain how he actually pulls it off. That's about all the praise I can give it, but it's there.
Yes you are right. In my opinion Saul Bueno's actor is pretty good. And there are some more decent actors in this show. But the actors for the twins should have been fired after the line at 7:30.
There are actually people that call Breaking Bad terrible and say this one is "leaps and bounds ahead", even in acting. Or that they thought that BB was good until they saw this series which makes BB to look like trash and they consider this a masterpiece, saying that they don't know why it has bad reviews.
The funny thing about Metastasis is that it's not a rip off, it actually an official adaptation. It was produced by the same production company, Sony Pictures.
The sad thing is that the man playing Tuco in Metastasis (Damian Alcázar) is actually a great Mexican actor that has won several awards. It was embarrassing to see him here.

@@michaelrusso9809 was especially struck by where Tuco first tries the blue meth. I’ve never tried blue meth but it seems super realistic the way he reacts to it.

Tuco in Metastasis: HUEHUEHUEHUEHEUHUEHUEH
Ngl hank finding out in metastasis is tense as shit
Thrift store Tuco should’ve played Hector Salamanca instead
I just love the fact that Marco (I think) in breaking bad says, “No… Too easy” very slowly while the one in Metatasis just says, “Too Easy!” and it’s very quickly 😂😂
😂
Also the fact that when Hank in breaking bad breaths heavily after killing Marco while Hank in metastasis immediately passes out. 😂😂😂
🤖 ahh pronunciation
it's fucking ominous how he says it, the other is like the least intimidating sentence ever lol
@@Johsther it’s the same fucking words 😂
That line delivery was so casual like the guy just got asked why he doesn't play video games on normal difficulty
What's funny is that Damián Alcázar, the man who plays Tuco in Metástasis is actually a GREAT actor, so sad that he got put into this awful role.
Isnt that the dude from narcos
hes just way too jolly to be tuco
@@hardboiled2987 yes he is actually
Oh. Soo That's the reason why it didn't suck as much.
Honestly it was kinda good.
The Salamanca twins couldn’t be any less intimidating
That hair ugh
After watching a couple of these it made me realize this is what breaking bad would look like if jimmy McGill made breaking bad instead of Vince
This is the best example of the differences between a masterpiece and all the rest.
Metástasis is the proof that great writing can only get you so far in a visual medium, you still need great actors and direction to make it work.
Yep
The guy doing Walter is an amazing actor though
@@SpectorEuro4Direction and production makes a huge difference.
Love how most Metastasis actors don't take their work seriously.
This proved that the good plot isn't enough for a masterpiece, the team who carried out the work is damn important

Nothing like dollarstore breaking bad to really make you appreciate the quality of the real deal.
Got to give it to Metastasis. They hired such a top notch actor to play both the cousins, and he perfectly portrays them as emotionless, ice-cold blooded killers. True psychos.
Hell no, in metastasis the guy acts too robotic, and has goofy expressions for no reason. The line "muy facil" sounds so forced, like robot said it

Weird thing to notice here, but honestly if the dude had just told Tuco "sorry I thought it'd sound cool" he probably would've been fine, Tuco's high enough that he'd probably just laugh and tell him to piss off

I actually cackled at the 8:55 shot with Hank trying to put the bullet into the gun because it has like a split second shot of the bullet falling and clinking to the ground. It's is so funny to me. I had a feeling they were going to mess that tiny little shot up because it seemed like a really technical shot to pull off and of course they would.
are you the real _Checkmang or are you a fake?
Tuco in Metastasis looks like your average uncle

Th Breaking bad at home :
Honestly, Metástasis had some really good ideas in the Salamanca fight. The original's edit has all these extra shots that make it feel choppy by comparison (like during the car hit), being able to see the shooter through the breaking window is much easier to follow, and having Hank (well, Henry) play dead right before the killing shot does a lot to explain how he actually pulls it off.
That's about all the praise I can give it, but it's there.
8:30 This sequence is pretty well done too. I mean obviously not on par with the original, but still very good
Tuco in Breaking Bad actually poses as a threat, and doesn't overreact, meanwhile Metastasis Tuco started doing jumping jacks because of it 💀
Instead of the salamanca twins they just put discord mods
I think some of the Metastasis actors are good, but the bad ones ruin a lot, also a huge difference in the directors wow.
