  • It is time to attempt my first full build video😕
    My dad recently decided to join the competitive but always fun speedrun side of our amazing hobby!
    I suggested he get a 124019 because in my opinion it's one of the best platforms for these crazy speeds we chase, for the size of cause.
    This may not be the best structured video but I thing I managed to capture the important parts of the build🤞
    Any brand shock/diff oils will do👌

      Yes I really enjoyed building this for my dad and I'm so happy he enjoys driving it🥹
      I haven't filmed alot of builds or repair videos, I get very nervous and anxious due to my speech issues and social anxiety but I need to do more for you guys.
      This car specifically I will be making a new splitter for soon as dad likes hitting reflectors at around 100mph and destroyed the one you just saw🤣
      I'll definitely film the splitter build and installation.

      The droop screws are for lowering the car (ride height) need a low chassis so the air is less likely to lift the car at the speed we're going for.

    This build looks phenomenal brother! Quick question... is there option to run a larger pinion with the stock spur gear if you modify the motor mount or go with an aftermarket one? I'm modifying a wl toys 184016 which has the same stock 27t pinion and same spur gear as buggy you're working on here (i believe). The stock motor on the 184016 is a 3400kv brushless motor which stays nice a cool on 3s already (I've upgraded the esc). I was hoping to play around with some gearing to increase my top speed with the stock motor to see what it can do before I upgrade the motor. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated brother! Cheers!

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks mate👍
      So I personally have a VERY hard time finding gears for wltoys as they use mod0.7 I think, a very uncommon gear in the rc world from what I've seen.
      I would just go to a 4s lipo and esc, run stock motor on 4s then when you top that out you could easily run a 4500kv upto probably 5000kv motor on 4s for speedruns.
      After that you would be best off going to mod1 gears as they are so easy to find in many sizes.
      The centre shaft is 5mm so you can use a large mod1 5mm bore pinion as a spur gear👌

    What is a "droop screw"?

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a screw in the swingarms/a-arms, normally a grub screw that sets the ride hight of your car.
      They sit on the little tabs on the chassis and if you tighten them the swingarms will raise, shocks will compress and it will lower the car.
