This is a chick update on Gemmas, Mrs Big Blue, Chers and Fluffs Chicks.
It's amazing how quick the little chick-a-bobs grow and it's interesting to watch how they become independent, each mum is different in how they teach the chicks the younger mums seem to be more ruthless but the older mums are more gentle and tend to like the chicks being around longer. This is Chers first year of being a mum and she started to tell her chicks to leave her alone a few weeks ago, however Mrs Big Blue is more tolerant and still lets her chick sit with her while she lays an egg, Gemma is a wonderful mum and when her chicks call she is straight there to make sure they are ok even though they are older than Chers, I can't believe she is still calling them for food giving them the goodies instead of eating them herself they are even bigger than Gemma herself. Fluff is a pro mum and has brought up many chicks, Cher, Gemma, Peggy and Bruno have all been brought up by Fluff.
