I love how people all over the world are touched by beauty. Your musicality really shines through. Thank you guys!! I can always count on you to brighten up my day!
Hello friends! Their melodies are beautiful and the way they play is very delicate, achieving a very clean and really nice sound on their instruments. From Corrientes in Argentina I congratulate you, and I thank you for sharing those melodies from those lands so far away for us. A big hug to both. and forward with good music guys!!
I have heard so many renditions of this tune, and I perform it myself as well. I must say that your performance is one of the best I've heard. Your interpretation, and execution are superb !
Kevin, learned the tune and put it in front of “ ol yeller dog running thru the meeting house” and then “ Big Sciota”. Going from waltz tempo to kick up your heels tempo !! Works great, thanks. Steve in Seattle.
A fabulous tune, beautifully interpreted. Thanks for the background note, which prompted me to find out more: Sir John Fenwick was a supporter of James II, arrested in ?1693 for fomenting disturbances against William of Orange. In 1697 he was accused of plotting to assassinate the King and beheaded on Tower Hill for high treason. That fits with the melancholic tone and the dates of Atkinson's manuscript, where it was also known as 'The Flower of Yarrow'. There's a version here, played by Iain Fraser in the chapel of Abbotsford House (Walter Scott's home) which is worth a listen. Thanks again for your fine playing. th-cam.com/video/Km0JTXYiKLk/w-d-xo.html
After listening to your lovely video here of 'Sir John Fenwick' on Jan.2, 2024, I became an $8 patron so I could get the sheet music from you. I was not able to access patron's benefits by clicking on 'Membership' as instructed. NOTHING happened! I sent you 2 messages that evening, one just after 5pm, & another just after 8pm, letting you know that I was not able to access sheet music. Today is Jan.4, two days later. I have STILL not heard from you. Help???????

This touches me like nothing else! I'll learn it!
You guys are a joy to watch. So in tune with the music and each other.

Many thanks! Greetings from Denmark to you in Argentina 🇦🇷
What a cracking tune! Another "must learn".
Absolutely beautiful rendition - tastefully arranged with lots of space for the tune to shine through, surely it doesn’t get better than this!
Cheers Martin!
I think I have just witnessed perfection.
There aren't enough good words in the world to describe this one.
Too kind Christoffer :)
One of the all-time great tunes. In a really good session the way this can build over a few times round is just terrific fun...
Yep, can definitely take a good few times round this one.

Many thanks Bob, we loved recording this one.
So wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
The tone just leaps out of that guitar compared to the Martin ! Fantastic and tasty playing by both of you as always :)
Thanks, it's really a special guitar.
I apologize for the same basic comment every time - absolutely brilliant! That may be one of my favorites so far.
Appreciate it, Jim!

Stunning music and sound. May I ask which model the Collings guitar is Sebastian? OM1 or perhaps OM2? It has a great sound in your hands.
Cheers Phil! The model is a a Collings OM1 - mahogany back and sides :)
Thanks for replying. It's a beautiful guitar and I really admire your playing.
Effortless and beautiful.
