    There's something so refreshing about cheap Toyotas; they have such a purity of purpose. They don't try to be anything they aren't, nor do they have to live up to lofty expectations of sophisticated handling and comfort. I love the three-knob HVAC and the look and feel of the interior.

      FourLiterV8 actually the new Yaris 2018 has very good interior quality compared to its rivals has a new 1.5l 111 hp engine and looks really nice in black and tinted windows in the back and the alloy rims and comes with collision prevention assist (auto brake) and other nice features plus as always Toyota reliability and I can say iv driven it it’s quiet fun it feels fast it isn’t that fast but it does feel
      0-100 around 9.5-9.8 even though Toyota claims 11 sec on the corners it’s fun,grip is reasonably good with no major issues it’s not as involving to drive as the fiesta but not that there are any issues plus you get Toyota 5 year warranty

      With the Yaris it's about driving & really appreciating the act of doing so & not necessarily the car itself. It'll never leave you hangin; especially if you give it some love from time to time & you'll have an insane bit of fun & memories with the car. It sticks with you. + There's nothing that's gonna be outdated in a few years & then isn't gonna be updated like all the entertainment systems of the upper class cars these days; it just gives you what's necessary & provides the chance to have a hell of a time..

      Bought a 2013 Yaris 1.33 low trim MT5 (equipment) in 2019. Loved it. Weak on motorway, just so so consumption in town and outside, 0 iisues.
      Had to sell it...
      Got me a 2006 Yaris 1.0, perfect for town, so weak on motorway, it was funny. Lowest trim, nothingk, but cheap to buy, run, insure...
      Recently, bought a 2015 facelifted Yaris 1.33 MT6 with just 36,000 miles (like 60,000km), almost highest trim - navi, BT, leather seats, auto lights, cruise control etc. And just as the 2013, this one has also bad consumption. but its relatrive. With light foot, 1 passanger, its like this:
      town with no traffic jams and lots of stops, 4-5L per 100km
      outside town 90kmh (like 60mph i guess), 5-5.5L
      motorway 80mph/130kmh 6.5-7L, but....with longer uphills, it can easily go to over 9L !!!!!!! single passanger
      So I guess this car isnt for motorway, definitely not frequent. But occasional trips with family, can be done on budget. This car shines everywhere outside motorway with consumption with a VERY light foot. Then again, a diesel with DPF on short trips is just pointless.

    It's not fast but you could go around a corner and get the thrill of going fast
    Great little car
    The engine makes it sound sporty the steering is really responsive I like driving it

    • @ancientslav4863
      @ancientslav4863 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I owned 3 of these. Two were 1.33 and one 1.0 vvt-i. Reliable, no nonsense cars. no race car, no motorway champ, no heavy hitter at any sense of word. But...just oil + filters, no belt but chain, no rust (has this weird coating around wheels even from 2006 models), no DPF, no Turbo, no hard core injectors changes (4x400$ insanity of some diesels)...just...no bs. Drives A to B comfortably, town and outside perfect, motorway doable. Tho high consumption at even 80mph/130kmh.
      Before 2019, the steering wheels isnt as nice to hold. Seems a bit thin, but OK. You can but the cover on it for 15$. If no heated seats, just get a 20$ heated mat for 12V outlet. Much bigger boot compared to 2006-2012 Yaris II. Interior, even in the 1st version in 2013, feels and looks 1000x better than fiesta or fabia or any other smaller hatch. seen them, felt them all. Insane how a 2013 yaris III has nicer interior and especially dash and navi screen than even some 2020 models!!!!! Its sunjective, I know, but many say it even in my family and freinds circles and people online
      Get the 1.0 ONLY if you do highway sometimes and max 2 passangers. Get the 1.5 VVT-i if you want the best engine the yaris ever had. 1.33 is a mix.
      and the new 1.5 CVT can suck my ass
      Also, hybrid usefull ONLY in city for slight consumption benefit, not mindblowing differences.

    Yaris III 2013-2020 = insane value. 1.0, 1.33 and 1.5 VVT-i = good engines for different types fo driving. Hybrid OK, not much to say about slight less fuel consumption in town, except expensive to buy comapared to non-hybrid. It got insane 3x facelift, 2015, 2017 and 2019? Maybe Im wrong, but 2015 definitely and one after, since the 2018 and 2019 have different front, headlights, back lights and even side doors. Anyway...Even a 2013 is better than most hatches now, and the 2015+ 1.5 VVT-i is just....perfect!!!!!

    Hi guys, which car would you recommend among these models:
    - Ford Fiesta Plus 1.5 TDCi 75cv year 2016, 60.000km, great conditions
    - Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.5 TDCi year 2016, 89.000km, great conditions, but some ruined paint on the bumpers.
    - Toyota Yaris 1.4 D4-D 90cv Style, year 2013, 64.000km, great conditions inside and out the car.
    I like Hyundai i20 CRDi and Peugeot 208 1.4 hdi, not the AdBlue version.
    Thank you for your help.

      Unless you drive at least ½ hour everytime you start the engine, and at least 30.000 km per year - I would not recommend any of the mentioned cars. But go for it if you like ruined engines and a lot of days in the workshop and a high running costs. And of course, if you also do like having a car that never delivers economical driving or even silent driving or fast driving, then go for it.

  • @oddities-whatnot
    @oddities-whatnot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I had one of these, not a bad car, good ride quality and nice to drive, nice gear change etc but... the engine just didnt have enough torque. Not the worst but it really had no pulling power on anything other than a flat road. Hills, sounded strained and boomy if you put your foot down to climb up them and felt breathless. Got an Audi A1 with the 1 litre turbo instead. Much better, at least it went up hills without wheezing !
