    Season 3 Episode 18
Country club grounds superintendent Bruno Keeley, who shelters notorious criminals for a price, is forced to shoot and kill fugitive murderer Leonard Gage (a/k/a "Hepner") after he attacks Keeley during a dispute over payment. Keeley hides the body in some brush on the golf course, and plans to remove it under cover of night. However, the corpse is discovered by golfers Dan Mathews and Judge Francis. Investigation reveals that Keeley is allowed to hire his own men, that there is very frequent turnover among them, and that many of his employees have fraudulent Social Security numbers. Keeley feigns ignorance of his employees' backgrounds, but Dan is relentless and eventually questions Keeley's wife while Keeley and armed fugitive George Carroll hide in the next room and monitor the conversation. Dan's persistent questioning eventually compels Mrs. Keeley to acknowledge her husband's involvement in the shooting, so Keeley and Carroll attempt to flee. Dan chases them in the direction of Officer Hoffman's roadblock, where a pitched gun battle takes place. Written by Sam Spear

Filmed at Knollwood Golf Course in Granada Hills, California, when it was brand new.

A friend of mine has lived in that same community since 1988, just up the road from the golf course.

Great episode. The dispatcher is Lorraine Dell Wood who had a very interesting career.

She appeared as a dispatcher in six episodes plus one non speaking part in 1956's "License Plates".

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Vaguely remember those original episodes🤔. Started watching the reruns late 2019. Realistically portrayed citizens/criminals/law enforcement officials. Roll over play dead scenes. No gory scenes.😉. Remember Clint Eastwood played a biker passing thru a small town episode. Along with Broderick in a few movies. A wholesome family-friendly seriese

No matter where Dan goes whether he's on pleasure or on vacation he always stumbles onto a major crime and thus the criminals are doomed from the very beginning.

I'd rather die in a hail of gunfire than listen to Mrs Keeley's voice.

Anyone know why people back then and in this show often times get into their vehicle via the passenger side door? Very odd.

Cars were so big back then , it was quicker to just take a short cut through the passenger side ! True story !

They had bench seats that were really easy to slide across. For the show sometimes it had to do with where the camera was.
