They were supposed to play in the brazilian edition of Primavera by the end of 2022 and then their name suddenly got removed from the lineup. Now the man is gone and I'm never going to see them. Rest in POWER, Steve. May God carry you to the green pastures of heaven in his big wings. I'm going to binge Shellac and Big Black records through this week and drink the best beer I can in your honor.
Steve! Wait, oh my god, no.... Just looking at comments to get this horrible news. He was a central source of inspiration for me during my Tape Op-heavy first years of operating my home studio! I learned SO MUCH! Thank you, and I appreciate everything you did,, Mr. Albini
people who just stand there striking a pose... People suck, Steve is, or not, at an advantage from all of us who feel like we are cooler than the musicians playing live music.... we suck
I did the lighting for a Shellac concert at First Avenue. It was an early show. They went on at 6 am. There were toaster stations and free Poptarts. There were no guest lists, not even for the press. I left work at 9 am. It was an amazing show.
Something bigger than Steve Albini himself has gone with his sudden death, something wich was crystal pure, something he protected but also shared to the world. He was a guardian of the temple, the temple of a vision of music that fought to be loyal, that fought to be honest and fought to just be. Man there was so much left to stand for. Bye Steve.
I saw someone comment on another video that they went to college with Steve, and for an art project, he stood behind plexiglass while hurling insults at the jocks, and they threw bricks at him. There's something deeply poetic about that.💔
Albini profoundly influenced how I hear myself as a communicating musician (dumbass drummer). My time on stage and in studio is far more sensitive to real dynamics thanks to his work and his generous presence in music. He’ll be missed beyond words.
Not much in tribute from mainstream industry maybe because he was always over the target when dropping insightful bombs…RIP Steve Albini, his work and teachings will live long years. We are all students of Albini, some more prepared to admit than others lol
I get the feeling that Adrian have graduated from the university of Jeremy Vine. Verbally chastising drivers to gain attention and reaction for a video clip.
Disguted . Saw him Nîmes tinals . Absolutely fabulous .
I'm.deeply sad
Thanks Mister Albini

Another man who changed the world is gone, may his spirit live on.
Rest In Peace Steve Albini, you will always be my favorite producer and musician ❤️❤️❤️😭😭
They look like a bunch of dads who meet on the weekends to reminisce over old Steely Dan songs.
Except that one of them made quite a lot of the music that you like.
And yet. "Christ the amount of human effort wasted to sound like an SNL band warm up." --Steve Albini
Steely Dan.... TOUCHY subject
Bro said Steely Dan on purpose and he thought we wouldn't notice

I see the Travis Bean marketing department are having a day out.
The music world is shook today.
For real. I thought that I would be bummed out about hearing of Bob Dylan dying before Steve Albini. Damn
@oub4a for me it hit harder than Bowie and Lemmy combined
I know he had a huge impact on a certain population, but harder than Bowie? You gotta get that grief out, man, and say why.
This fucking hurts man. RIP 🖤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ugh, this hurts.
Sick.

requiescat in pace
The Romans are just Shellaced Greeks.
Promoted the jabbbs.
Few years later it’ll catch up to ya.
You know there are people who made the jab and are still alive, also very unpleasant to wish a guy to die or seem pleased about it
heart attacks existed before vaccines, if you can believe it
@@Brokenface I'm bummed we lost Steve, but I do think this was what did it.
Well that sucked.
Oh hey before he lost his mind completely and took 100 covid boosters
what
Due concerti mostruosi di gruppi a tre. Melvins e shellac a bologna nei 90…..
Nice! Melvins are the band ive seen the most haha
💚
Classic Steve / Shellac . Surprised they didn;t do a Q&A w/ the 6 attendees (or maybe they did!)
