Regardless of age, these guys rock it. I’ve seen them young and older, I’ve seen them several times. River plate had amazing fans of ALL ages. Multi generations.

Donnington had the bigger audience but because it was a festival featuring AC/DC and other bands. River Plate was an AC/DC concert exclusively

I saw ACDC twice in the late 1980's. My ears rang for two days after. To see Angus run back and forth and jump off speakers for two hours straight was amazing to see. To really appreciate ACDC you can't use head phones, you need large high powered speakers, so you can feel the beat right in your chest.

Their first album was 1975, their most recent was released a few months ago. I believe Angus invented "head banging".
This concert is where they hold the record of the most people at a concert. 1.6 million were there!!

This concert was part of the "Monsters of Rock" festival in 1991. The concert was filmed at the Castle of Donington Park, England. AC/DC later played in Moscow as part of the same festival, where an estimated 1,600,000 fans were in attendance making it one of the concerts with the all-time highest attendance.

I saw them in a private show of 200 people at BB kings in NYC. One of the highlights of my life. This band truly is one the greatest of all time.

They played in front of approximately 70,000 people at Donington in 1991. Similar to the size of the crowd at River Plate in 2009 (but River Plat was approximately 65,000 to 70,000 for three straight nights for around 200,000 total for the three nights). AC/DC played in front of 1.6 million on September 28, 1991 at Tushino Airfield in Moscow Russia

to reach a 1.6 million audience you need approximatively 22 times the crowd size at Donington...
@@roverwaters3875 Tushino airfield is many, many times the size of the Donington location, so yeah, 22 times not so difficult when you consider it was a huge general aviation airfield where many Military exercises took place.

You need to check out AC/DC live at the capital center in Land over Maryland 1981
Dude...ACDC is the bomb....I have a few suggestions for you and I will list them but just saying I am going on 60 in September and I LOVE All types of music..I go back as far as Earth Wind and Fire and Parliament and Bootsy and I do a mean Patsy Cline on Karioke...By the way you look I am probably 3 times your age... LOL...but Dream Weaver by Gary Wright, Joy to the World by Three Dog Night, Juke Box Hero by Foreigner and Hotel California by the Eagles...My favorite country singer is Ronnie Milsap Lost in the 50's tonight (Side note Ronnie is a blind country singer and the car scene with him driving he told them that he was going to drive it with no assistants..in live concerts he will climb on his piano and then jump off it...scared me when I saw it) another great singer is Jeff Healey "Angel Eyes" (he appears in the movie Road House with Patrick Swayze). I think you would be shocked to see my eclectic play list... LOL

I know that even now the Foo Fighters won't play it, because it is still known as a 'metal festival'.

Get your facts right guys. This was not a festival over 3 days. Monsters of Rock was always a one dayer. The Donington motor racing circuit was later used for the 'Download Festival' but that was a different thing altogether. Also, the average audience for Monsters of Rock was around 70,000 although Guns N' Roses did top 100,000 - not the ridiculous 400,000 I saw quoted above.
P.S. I was at almost every Monsters of Rock concert. AC/DC were the best headliners with ZZ Top a good second !! GN'R ... really !?!!
