This reminds me of my grandma. She’s super addicted to her depression/anxiety pills and they basically knock her out every time, and it take quite a lot to wake her up. She was supposed to be watching my younger cousins but completely disregarded them, took her pills, and was knocked out for hours. My uncle came home to his two daughters (ages 6 & 5) playing unsupervised in the front yard. And there’s a major town road right out front. The girls could’ve ran into the road or someone could’ve snatched them up. Terrible. Don’t leave your kid’s with grandparents that can barely care for themselves. (PS- I see the comments and I’d like to say my grandmother is in her 60s and is relatively healthy, she’s just a pill addict)
I think this grandma should be tested for the early signs of dementia. My family thought my aunt was normal until we asked her, "Who is the President of the United States of America?" She said Jimmy Carter! 🤦🏾♀
Look, if Gramma's getting dementia and forgetful; then it time for YOU to take care of HER. Not use her for a free babysitter, for hours and hours and hours.

I am really questioning on how they determined that having grandma babysit another child would be a great idea. She’s already proven that she is an incompetent babysitter. I don’t know how she was ever in charge of entire school.
She didn't. In another interview she was saying that she didn't trust her at all to watch her child again, only if she was there as well. The day the second child died grandma was with her friends, whom the mother trusted.

Yes, maybe early onset dementia or she's had the jab/s which causes forgetfulness. I've seen this in my Mom (they're the same age) since she's had the jabs. :(
Maybe she isn't comfortable with showing her emotions in public? I know I don't and when my severely autistic brother passed away I was utterly devastated, I cried like hell, I screamed for hours. But still, when the funeral came and I was surrounded by people I felt numb and couldn't shed a single tear. But it doesn't mean people don't feel anything, some of us just feel unsafe being emotional in front of strangers.
As a grandparent, I would never trust myself again if I lost a grandchild on my watch. I would at the very least be overprotective and make sure it would never happen again.
I bet she had life insurance policies on both kids. The grandfather needs to be scrutinized too. I don’t believe he didn’t know of the sin in his wife’s heart.
I agree, she should have been hyper vigilant after the first grandchild passed on her watch, but instead she comes home and plays the piano for hours?? The baby doesn’t cross her mind for hours?? How?
The parents need to be looked at more closely for their terrible judgment on the death of the second baby. I have a hard time feeling a lot of empathy for any of them except for the real victims. The kids.
Did anybody notice the mother forgot to mention the daughter at one point but just the loss of her son. If that happened to me I wouldn’t even be able to speak on camera I would be to devastated
Yup, she has been looking off the whole video so I thought there was something wrong about the whole thing but when she didnt mention the daughter I guess it might just be the trauma. Maybe denial and refusal to accept what's happening has her looking so weird
I thought I saw an older child in one of the pics so I thought the couple had 3 kids and she mentioned the older living child. Maybe not and that was my mistake.
Something is VERY wrong here. Wanting your Mother to go to jail ? Why did they trust her enough to leave their children with her ? Accidents happen , but this is too strange ....
Weird don't you think the problem is them wanting their mother to go to jail! They forgave her after the first accident and I'm sure assumed that it was an accident. Grandma fell asleep and the baby wandered outside. The second one though she literally left her in a car and just forgot about her. Some people mentioned maybe she has dementia, that makes a lot of sense. If you lost two children by the same person being neglectful and hairless I would assume you would want Justice for your children also. Even if it is a loved one who did it

Yep, as a grandfather I felt their pain and I find it disturbing that this grandmother had two grandkids that died, because of gross negligence on her part. So sad. 😠
You'd think her daughter would have taken measures to ensure that wasn't the case before trusting her AGAIN. This woman needs to be in prison. If she's senile, she won't know the difference, if she has her wits about her, she has some explaining to do. How horrible for this couple and what terrible deaths those innocent and helpless, little babies endured. 💔🙏😔
Yeah I mean I think thats a possibility. Or just a mind getting old. That with crazy bad luck, who knows if it would have ever happened if, say she babysay the kids any other days than these two times. The daughter did after all survive her own childhood.
As I said on another page regarding this case. Most people would be so filled with anxiety watching the 2nd child that they wouldnt let the kid out of their sight. She needs to have a full medical and psychological evaluation.
I saw another article talking about how the grandmother had other grandkids from different kids and never had problems with them. I know it seems weird to us to leave the kids with the grandmother after the first death, but with all the positive history she had with kids, along with her history from working in the school system, I think the parents really just saw it as a freak accident. Honestly, her having such a long history working with kids really makes these two dying even more suspicious. I should also mention that with the second baby, the parents started with supervised visits and eased their way into letting grandma watch the baby. Shortly after trusting grandma to watch the baby unsupervised, the second baby passes away. Way too suspicious.
When the story first hit the news I was immediately suspicious. I’m a grandparent of 2 just starting their adulthood and was heavily involved with them from the delivery room to now and their is no way that woman with her education and history doesn’t know the importance of keeping vigilant with small children. I know tragedy happens but BOTH children? No, that’s not negligence, that’s murder.
There were other interviews were they were both losing it and sobbing. I tried not to judge, because how do you even process this? Not to mention they're probably both heavily medicated. Perhaps antidepressants
Something doesn’t feel right about this case.. I can’t put my finger on it but I have an intense gut feeling that something is off. This type of a gut feeling is honestly *never* wrong. I’ve had the same one for so many of these tragic and mysterious cases, one of the last ones I had it this strong for was the Gabby Petito case & the Chris Watts case.
I noticed the mom seems off too but I wanna attribute it to the devastation and maybe taking tranquilizers or something like that. Bc I can only imagine what her nervous system is going through with such tragic incidents.
The parents seem so nonchalant. Sorry to say that. But as a mother, if I experienced losing my baby girl, EVERY time I spoke about it, I would breakdown in tears. On the flip side, maybe they've grieved SO MUCH that they're depleted of tears. Either way, kudos for wanting the grandmother charged.
Agreed. Kind of feels like after the first time you wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. A lack of emotions and poor judgment to leave your child with her if you didn’t trust her. It’s like they knew it might happen again
They should also have been charged. It’s not like they didn’t know and perhaps even knew their mother retold stories and forgot about things before the first one.
This is tragic. If the grandmother doesn’t have Alzheimer’s then she needs to go to jail for life. Something is terribly wrong there and my heart goes out to the parents. Horrifying and so darn sad. I can’t imagine their pain.
Probably an unpopular opinion but the parents need some punishment too. This is also negligence on their part to leave a second child with a woman who killed their first. Maybe the first was unavoidable, but that poor second baby didn't have to die. I hope they don't have anymore, their decision-making skills don't seem to be up to par.
@Anna Crunkleton they left a second child in the care of an incompetent person for a hair appointment. The actual mother should be criminally punished not to the grandmother!
As an infant in my grandmother's care I aspirated a little spit up and couldn't breathe for a moment. My grandma, a mother of 8, was so frightened by it that she didn't want to tend me anymore. I can't believe this woman trusted herself enough to care for another baby after her negligence took the first one. Just an awful, awful situation.
@@emeksb4823 i really don’t understand, if somebody clearly proves once that they can’t keep your child safe from harm and DEATH, they shouldn’t ever be alone with another child without supervision
The parents seem extremely suspicious... they don't seem heartbroken or devastated at all... It looks like bad acting? Life insurance scam on the babies for money perhaps? There should definitely be an investigation to look deeper, but who really knows for sure
Is it just me or did the parents reaction seem incredibly insincere? If I had lost my son, especially if I had lost a second maybe in a similar way I would be breaking down recalling it on tv
No, it’s not just you. Normally, I try not to overanalyze the presentation of someone’s grief, but in this case it’s just really off. Like you said, they seem incredibly insincere about a double tragedy that would break most people beyond repair.
They’re grieving odd and also to not check up on your grandma frequently enough knowing that your other child died in her care is beyond odd - this is not a parent that protects. It’s beyond reckless.
Oh my god. This is horrific. Even if it was a genuine mistake, I don’t think I would ever be able to forgive her. This is so terrible and I hope this couple heals :(
I personally feel, that after the first tragedy with grandma falling asleep, they should’ve checked up regularly by giving grandma a call, just to make sure she’s awake and baby is ok. Totally heartbreaking 💔😢
What if she is in the early stages of dementia. It would explain why she is constantly forgetting things. My friends mom was watching her son and ended up leaving him out side in Florida and in the sun. Thankfully her husband was home and asked where the baby was. He did obtain a severe sunburn but was ok. A few months later they discovered she was in early stages of dementia.
Parents don't seem too upset. Something about their body language and facial expressions while telling their story doesn't give grieving parents. Not a drop of emotion! 🤨
Is it possible the grandma is suffering from the early stages of dementia? This might not necessarily be her fault. This might be a terrible medical condition in its early stages
I feel so sorry for the parents but let us hear both sides. Parents lost their child and a grandmom lost her grandchildren. I think there is something going on with the grandmom. Maybe slowly losing her memory. I dunno.
This is so sad and my heart goes out to the parents for the loss of their babies. I will also never understand how people forget about their children (or grand children) in the car. I have a small dog that I have in the car all of the time with me. She's very quiet in the back seat and not one time did I forget about her.
@deenam That's a routine. However, when something is added to change a habitual routine, whether pet or child in the back when you don't normally have one, they can be forgotten. Especially if there's any medical/ memory issues already, which is a possibility.
You can see the husband feeling uncomfortable with the wife holding his arm. When this happens, couples sometimes blame each other. In this case, his wife's mother is responsible and he might be blaming her.
I also noticed how the wife was clutching at her husband's arm and he seemed uncomfortable. I wonder if these two tragedies will destroy their marriage? This story makes me sad.
I noticed that too. I thought right away that he has to hold his wife responsible to some degree. I don't think their marriage will make it through this.
The fact after the FIRST incident the grandmother and parents did not have her evaluated….that constitutes NEGLIGENCE. Something is not right with all three of them. The mother seemed a little giddy.
I agree 😫😫.. I just don't understand what parents would leave a SECOND child with such a person after 1 died in her care?.. I wouldn't of Bern able to trust her with my baby..
The fact the mother of these kids left another child alone with the grandmother is ridiculous! I don't trust either of them. This poor father.... my heart breaks for him and these kids
I'd never let anyone babysit my child after the first death, let alone the person whose negligence caused the death of the first child. They all should go to PRISON for this second death.
I think it is weird that the daughter wants her mom to be criminally punished. It seems like the mom might have dementia, not intentionally murdering these children. The parents should be responsible for the choice to leave the second child with the grandma.
Sleep deprivation + last minute change of plans. It happened to me, and I constantly talk to my children. Thank GOD I remembered within about ten minutes, and baby was sleeping. But it was in the Walmart parking lot. Oh my God. From then on (this was a decade ago) I have put my bag in front on my children's legs in the back foot well, so I need to go to the back to get my bag. Parents aren't necessarily intentionally negligent, just under extreme exhaustion, and last minute changes to schedules don't get coded properly sometimes. This case, though, is beyond comprehension, honestly. So so so tragic.
I worked overnight when my kids were little. I had locks and alarms on all the doors. If I was really tired, they came in my room with me and I locked the door. You can’t take even 1 chance with your kids lives.
I think the parents should take some blame for the 2nd child. I am surprised no one looked into the grandmother's mental condition for any signs of altimeters or dementia.
I just hope this couple will be able to get through this second tragedy. I’ve seen a lot of married couples who fell apart after losing children. My heart goes out to them.

I have a high suspicion they all wanted the kids gone. Lack of sadness from all, second time leaving a child with grandma being so careless, forgiving even through it’s unforgivable… idk smells a little fishy to me …

The father didn’t even cry, why is the mother the only “mental” one?
Yes, maybe early onset dementia or she's had the jab/s which causes forgetfulness. I've seen this in my Mom (they're the same age) since she's had the jabs. :(
Maybe she isn't comfortable with showing her emotions in public?
I know I don't and when my severely autistic brother passed away I was utterly devastated, I cried like hell, I screamed for hours. But still, when the funeral came and I was surrounded by people I felt numb and couldn't shed a single tear.

Exactly
I don't understand how anyone can forget a baby in a car. Anytime I've ever had a baby in a car, I talk to the baby.
Sleep deprivation + last minute change of plans. It happened to me, and I constantly talk to my children. Thank GOD I remembered within about ten minutes, and baby was sleeping. But it was in the Walmart parking lot. Oh my God. Why wouldn’t they the second child dying was thier fault, they shouldn’t have been negligent
Sounds like there was a underline motive or she had a undiagnosed health issue in this case. You would think after the 1st one dies, she would be super protective of the second one. I don't know this just does not happen twice. Something fishy is going on.
That was my first thought. Does the grandmother have some cognitive issues, Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc?
Yeah...or someone had life insurance on the kids....
@@pamelabustos8376 Exactly
Thats what i thought !
I have a high suspicion they all wanted the kids gone. Lack of sadness from all, second time leaving a child with grandma being so careless, forgiving even through it’s unforgivable… idk smells a little fishy to me …
That’s the craziest bunch of people I’ve ever heard of! Why would you let that woman keep your baby?!?! The parents act odd to me. They don’t seem as distraught as I would think, but maybe that’s just how they act. This is a crazy story.
Not once but TWICE, you lose your children to your own mother 😔
surprised daughter of grandmother made it out alive
