Of course you got yours first. Wow that is some thick stag! They both look incredible! You're black Sandalwood is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing TK!!
Thanks very much Andrew. I ordered as quick as I could find them.
He's back! Great job John, there's no doubt in my mind that this is KOTY 🙏🏻
Thanks for your patience. I really wished I felt better.
To John good seeing you again!!! That’s so cool that you and slippy had something to do with Andy making the sowbelly I can assure you that’s he’s happy he talked you guys into making this piece….. I love it such a good looking knife…… I’m really happy for you guys stay well and be safe out there I’ll catch you guys soon 😊
Thanks so very much, Pete. I'm really pleased with the way these turned out.
I preordered the stag version, and it showed up this past weekend. In typical RCB fashion, it was excellent in all respects. I really like this one, and appreciate TK & Slippy for encouraging RCB to build this sowbelly pattern.
Thanks so much, Mike. Slippy and I both feel honored that Andy considered and executed our suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion. I love this one. It turned out better than i thought it would.
Btw, i love that you dont warn me when you buy. You get the random pull from stock and it helps me show that its not just ambassadors that get winners. 😊
That's right it just shows you guys are really doing a great job with looking them over before sending them out. I know everyone appreciates that QC step and all the effort required to go the extra mile for your customers.. Thanks, Andy.
Thanks Andy!
Those are some nice Sowbelly’s…Rosecraft makes a great knife…love the single blades
Rosecraft is making some great knives. Thanks for having a look, Georgia.
Very nice blade shape on that one, and I like the covers on both! Thanks for the look at these, buddy!
You're very welcome, David. I think they are great slipjoints.
Both of those knives look fantastic. It’s really neat that you and slippy played a part getting this knife to market. Thanks for showing it to us and glad to hear you’re feeling better John. 👊
Thanks very much RadioGeek. It's been a struggle, I appreciate the kind words.
Funny name, great looking knife, a nice blade shape, thanks for sharing it, TK.
Thanks very much, Jose. I've nicknamed them the Stinky Pigs
@@ThriftyKaniffy Ha Ha!
Thanks for the review. I noted right away that the Case knives aren't as bulky as the Rosecraft, or Rough Ryder knives. I think Case's brass liners are a thinner stock.
Yessir, the liners are more slender. I like the feel of the RCB in hand a little bit more.
They both look fantastic!! Great video ,y friend!
Thanks so much, Randy.
Thanks TK, mine are on the way. Call me crazy but I'm thinking this would be a real beast feeder with white smooth bone handles and a shiny black clubs shield!
We shall see what other handle materials are offered at a later date. Thanks, Panther.
Both knives are beautiful and look to be made very well. I see the Stag in my future. I would like to get both of them. I believe the hindrance of the knife maker to have a heart shield on the knife is probably due to the fact that most women aren't into traditional knives and men affiliate hearts with Valentine's Day and girly stuff. Girly stuff has no place on a man's knife. 😉👍😎✌️
Yes the heart shield thing has everything to do with being able to sell them, and I understand the apprehension, but I think there will be some that anticipate that it will happen. I'm trying to temper that expectation.
@@ThriftyKaniffy I hear you; whether they make one with a heart for the shield or not its not my cup of tea but if others would like to have one there's no problem with that, everybody's different. The truth is, whatever style or color of knife people want that is awesome, we're all different and have different likes. Thank you for your reply. Thank you for your channel. 😎👍
I like the sandalwood.
Me too, I really like them both Kathleen.
Two great looking knives. That chonkin stag one could also be used for a pocket billy club. Nice blade design.
Thanks BD. I'm really happy with the,. Andy really did the pattern proud.
I have the stag sowbelly on order. Hope it gets here before the end of the week. Looks awfully good for a sub $100 knife….
I hope you get a great one. Thanks, South
ordered mine in stag very nice TK.
Awesome, James. A truly nice slipjoint.
Lovely stag on that one TK
Thanks Mikey. Have you decided on one?
Great looking knife... hopefully a Copperhead will follow
Seems only natural it'd be done eventually.
He should release a Heart on Valentine's Day. On a Barlow. He could call it the BarLUV.
I know there will be people asking for the heart, but he's got to sell them.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Got ya. But they would be nice for my poker den.
Beautiful handle material on both! I'll be honest, it bugs me that the bottom bolster is a bit square and the top bolster is round. It makes it look different from the Case, but I think I prefer matched bolsters.
Thanks Eric, good to hear your take.
I remember the Roper sow belly had unusual shaped blades. Is that similar to it?
Not quite the same but yes there was a blade on that one that canted down that was smaller but with a similar shape.
You know... I really want to like the stag on this. I want to like stag in general, because it's iconic and has history. However, I was looking at it one time and it just looked like a skid mark or like a shit stain on something white and I have never been able to get that out of my head. The sandlewood for me 😅
One man's turd is another man's treasure. Feels great in hand, doesn't smell bad either. 😄
Where's the other two blades. I would have been really hyped if it was a stockman.
The stockman is much more common. I'm happy to see a single blade option.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Most of RoseCraft are single blades. I want to see more blades
SWEEEET 😊
An excellent executed design.
@@ThriftyKaniffy I'm hoping they re-release with more blades.
Wish these knives were made in the USA. Oh well!👎
Great either way. Thanks, DB.
I hope Andy keeps this line just as is, I don't care where it's made as long as it's made of quality materials and well executed. Andy's current traditional knives are, and are affordable. Now, if he were to create a "premium" or "executive " line of traditional knives that are made in America, that's great. But I personally will not pay the premium price that will entail. A sub $100 knife, well executed, will be an EDC option for me. A $300 plus knife is a case queen and will never find its way into my collection. I need working knives that I won't cry over loosing, and it happens, just reality. I'm really more of a knife accumulator as opposed to a collector. Thanks for sharing TK.
