Blows my mind on How others Think THEY know more about YOU than you. Or that they feel they know what IS or IS NOT best for YOU.
I'm not a know-all knife guy.. hell I barely know much about the knives I use. Just that the brands reputation was durable and kept a great edge.
I very much enjoy what you bring to the table. You have shown me that there's a better option... may not be able to afford it.

As long as you're happy with it, who cares what other idiots think. As you pointed out, your money, your choice. Sometimes we buy things just because they're fun. They don't have to be a practical purchase with many uses. We can buy shit for any reason we want. It's our money. I just don't get some of the comments I read either brother. If somebody don't like the knife you're showing, just don't watch the video. They can feel free to click somebody else's link. Why Spend the time and effort to make some dumb ass hateful comment?

But I want a chopper for out in the bush and am having such a hard time deciding between the El Chete and the storm vector, keep going back and forth, right now my normal dealer had a canada day sale thats running til this friday and the storm vector is bascially $100 off while the El Chete is not but have been leaning towards the El Chete as the geometry/weight distribution just looks like it kills as a chopper, I dont need a knife with a point or anything as I have many other knives for other tasks, but as a pure chopper this looks great.

Keep buying and using the big knives, man. I like your channel because you use your knives and don’t just get them in the mail from another reviewer just to pass it on to the next like the pocket knife guys do it. I want to watch videos by someone who uses their knives and is excited about them and who records it not someone reacting the a knife 2 seconds after opening the box 30 times a day using the knives they do decide to keep just to open the next round of knives they are reacting to. Your channel is what TH-cam should be. The people who treat it like window shopping and the creators like hand models suck shit.

First off, you buying the knife is not stupid, if it's what you like/want there's nothing wrong with that, more power to you, and I hope it serves you well. Now in regard to Tops knives in general, as someone who has been a Tops fan for a long time, it greatly, greatly pains me to say this, but I've come to the conclusion that their steel quality and heat treat is absolutely bottom tier overpriced garbage.
Anecdotal reports have been around for a long time that suggested that their heat treat was off, with reports of warped blades and easily bent/broken tips. But channel Joe X has been the final stake in the coffin of Tops knives. Virtually every single Tops knife he has tested has failed in absolute spectacular fashion, even with one's like the Storm Vector having its tip broken off on the very first strike against a piece of glass. Enough solid proof is out there that shows how truly inferior Tops heat treatment is. Which makes me very sad, because the designs, fit and finish of Tops knives is absolute top notch, and that's why I've always been a fan, but seeing how easily they fail again, and again consistently, it's robbed me of all faith I have in their product. Just my 2cents.

    • @peterbiltknifeguy
      @peterbiltknifeguy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I do agree that the heat treatment isn’t the best. I’m not a big fan of the hard edge soft spine thing. It does seem that the hardened edges might be over done and fragile. Time will tell on this one. If it breaks it breaks. Until them I’m going to chop away lol

Listening to grown-ups complainin about dumb shit gets old faster than anything I can think of... This was straight up painful to get through.
Also, the tool you're looking for is called a chainsaw. I promise you an elchete s not the only tool that can do that job. Also, how dare you buy an elchete.

This guy has no idea how to run a TH-cam channel. Arguing with your commenters NEVER goes well. If TH-cam comments of all things get under your skin, grow up! It's strangers online. If you don't want to listen, then don't. But there are consequences.

Oh no. CONSEQUENCES. My channel doesn’t seem to suffer at all. Plus TH-cam is a hobby. Not my job. Look. I’m arguing again 😂

    Hi PBKG.
Where to begin ... if you received comments that directly called you stupid (and the like) for buying THAT knife ... you got a legitimate beef. Hey dongs.n.holes out there ... shut it ! If, however, one argued the value vs another knife, offered options, etc ... that's a legit comment. One needs comments to grow the channel, and if one is in this YT game, one should want to grow (i.e. ... your WTG vs business model vs operations argument).
Luv the big knives, luv your content, luv the comments/arguments/banter. End of the day, this is just entertainment. One can turn it off. Thanks, good luck, and Happy Thankgiving to you and yours.

Thank you. I agree with your opinion. And I love when people comment. And maybe I take it the wrong way sometimes also. But as a human. Sometimes it irks me a little.

Cool fucking knife dude. I almost got one of these the other day but ordered a Kershaw launch 16. This will probably be next. I don't have tons of stuff to chop but would certainly split some firewood with it.

That’s a badass butcher slicer or mini Machete, I love the blade shape and Tops make stout, tough knives, honestly these blockheads don’t got a clue about what makes a good knife. You want a good tough USA made blade, I dunno then maybe don’t be such a cheapskate. Tops is one of my favorite knife brands. Saluti Man🤌🏻🥂
