I know people wanted Luigi's misadventures to be playable, but it would ruin the joke. The whole point is Luigi gives you this rosy version of what happened with him being the dashing hero, and then you talk to his partner who tells you what a disaster it actually was because of Luigi specifically. It's best that's left to the imagination.
And how small spaces were was something I always though about with The Thousand Year Door. The original had some really big and open maps like Dry Dry Desert, Jade Jungle, and Flower Fields which the TTYD lacked. However, this is a remake, and it is true to the original which is what people want. Let's wait for a remake of the original even the next game which will hopefully follow TTYD's approach to characters, storytelling, and battles.

the game had a big flaws that was improved with the latest paper mario. that biggest being the game too easy. unless you don't lv up your hb the game is very easy and when it comes to battling you don't really have to pay that close of attention. the boss battles is very easy to figure out the best way to beat them. I think the addition of being able to counter is what made the game way more easier then the first paper Mario. I think the reason Nintendo changes the rpg mechanics so the game would be a little more difficult. also you're able to go over 50 hp. so if you really wanted to you could have a lot of hp mid game. right now im on chapter 7 and lv 21. my hp is only at 30 and fp is at 35 it put most of my lv up into bp. with that I haven't even come close to dying and I didn't just buy a bunch of mushrooms.I barely used items, so being able to have that much hp for a game that easy isn't needed. yes the the pit of a 100 trails but you don't have to do that to beat the game.

I’d imagine there are at LEAST 3 postgame bosses, one is Bonetail for the pit. I’d expect at least 2 new bosses, or the Mario and Luigi/ Mario RPG route and have harder versions of bosses you fought in the main campaign
You were spot on. Bonetail returns, but there are two new bosses. One that I'm surprised the original didn't let you fight since fighting is what they're about, and one I NEVER expected.

The pacing and backtracking can be a bit grading, but it's definitely a great game overall!
I don't like the leveling system it is really grindy
One of the best leveling up systems. You can level up after 7 to 8 enemies that are in the current chapter and there aren't a 100 enemies between towns. Hope more rpgs follow this design philosophy

@@shimmerc Uh, no. No. In case you hadn't noticed, that is a different title of a game that already exists. It also features Mario & Luigi in the traditional, 2.5d format seen on the DS, with a flat, 2d Paper Mario playing alongside them. What I am proposing is a whole new Paper Mario adventure that would include Paper Luigi playing alongside, possibly with other paper characters from the Mario universe as companions. Different.

Sticker star admittedly WAS my first paper Mario game, so I'm excited to save up money for this game(HOPEFULLY a cartridge, preferably)!!!
The remake having postgame content? Nice. There was something I had a minor disappointment with the original TTYD, even though the game saves after defeating the final boss, and the final boss is no longer in their room after you defeated them, there was no real point to keep playing that save file after beating the game. Now it seems the remake fixes that by giving you actually something to do after beating it, besides trouble center quests you didn't do before beating the game

Well i heard that there are Indeed Some New Post game bosses and if that's true then yea i can forgive them for not having a boss rush but if they're isn't any new post game bosses, then yeah what was the point in canceling people's pre orders there would be nothing really to spoil so i highly doubt that they didn't add at least some new post game bosses at least imo.

Probably the action comands (at least the jump and guard) will be a tad more generous, similar to modern PM games that ran at 30 fps too. Superguard will be the most curious case fs, two frames (or 0.067 secs) is what apparently is gonna last, actually being a slight buff comparing to the OG.
I love the people complaining that combat is hard they're so use to their auto attacks that require -10 brain cells to achieve... Makes me pray that if the new Mario and Luigi game speculation is true they stick to a hard combat mechanic.

Imagine if: Paper Mario Sticker Star, Colour Splash, and Origami king ALL got remakes with the OG battle style? Super Paper Mario would be the only unique one, and hat one really can't be altered without fundamentally changing the entire game.

I wish more RPGs used a turn based QTE battle system. The only ones that immediately come to mind for me are the first two paper Mario games, the Mario and Luigi games, Biug Fables (which is basically a paper Mario game omg I love bug fables!!), Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and The Legwmd of Dragoon.

I've been watching Derrick Bitnerd streamed playthrough playlist of the GC version ever since he streamed it on GameXplain then moved it to his YT channel Bitnerd Games when he left GameXplain I hope Andre Segers of GameXplain does a full game streamed playthrough playlist of the TTYD remake if he does I'll stop watching the GC version playlist and start watching Andre Segers TTYD remake playlist. I wish they didn't add the trans thing though it mightnot be much in games but in real life its a sin.

The one thing I was hoping for out of this was Luigi and the Waffle Kingdom. Yes, I'm let down, yes, I REALLY let down, but I still think I'll enjoy this game.

Everyone is lying to themselves or have low self esteem when they say it is alright for the game to run as slow as it does not just in the game proper but on the menus too.
To those praising the quality of life time saving shortcuts, not only does that make you a whiny person but not a fan of traditional rpgs. At the end of the day upon finishing the game you would have wasted more time on loading times compared to the original due to how lazy of a job Nintendo approved.
The addition of annoying voices to partners, the default lower difficulty with no way to reverse it to the original and the butchered remaked songs make for a great game for fans who value themselves no more than someone who showers once every week.

@@professorpengu502 it truly isn’t. There is not even vaguely enough differing this from the original for it to be classified as a remake. A couple updated menus, a WORSE frame rate, updated graphics, a way to listen to the old music, and a slim chance at an extra boss at the end does not classify a remake. That’s the literal definition of a remaster. A remake would require significant changes to actual gameplay which very minor timing changes does not constitute.
If you compare the GameCube Resident Evil 4 vs the remake THAT shows actual changes to gameplay that the original did not have. Nothing we’ve been shown for TTYD would fall into this category.

A remaster is about taking the original Game with all its aspects and polish It to look prettier.
A remake is making a "new" Game that is made to resemble the original, and specifically made for newer generations.
On this case, is a remake. The difference Between a remaster and a remake is not on the amount of upgrades, just how its made.
