I am getting well into VC figures of late, they just seem to be much easier to grab over here in the UK.These two were a must buy, the amount of detail,sculpt and paint apps on such small scale figures is incredible.Maybe Hasbro will scale up the Darth Maul to give us a BS version, here's hoping.Dare i say it, the amount of detail and sculpt on some of these VC figures are more accurate and sharp than there BS versions.Awesome review Nate, it's great to see you giving the VC line some review love
Boba! Am now talking to you in 2 different comments sections at the same time! You are right about tvc. Told you I bought those films in hmv on Thursday- they had probably 80 odd figs on the shelf. A few bs as well. My only beef is they have hit anywhere between 16-19 quid.
No kidding Boba! Honestly, this year has been amazing for TVC. I definitely think this Ashoka is more accurate than the BS version. I really wanna get that new Emperor just haven’t found it yet. Thanks as always for watching! -Nate
@@davidedge2828Yes, indeed the VC line can certainly show what the BS is missing out on. I know, i have seen the prices going up for the VC line but are often cheaper at Staractionfigures but i think its just a case of coming to terms with all prices going up on figures, i am still all in for now though👍🏻
@@OutOfTheBasement Ya, the VC line are showing us how some of the BS figures should be made which is quite odd considering the BS figures are almost twice the size giving much more room for more accurate detailing.I have preordered the Palpatine VC wave but no sign of them yet over here, got to have Palp's👍🏻
@@bobavader1862 yes. I said to Fig. F a week ago, you either collect these figures now, or you don't. If you can afford 100, buy 100, if you're little or don't have much money, you save up, buy a few and be picky about them. No amount of moaning about price by anybody is going to make them 10 quid each with 7 accessories. Got home earlier than I thought. My "bin of council" yielded treasure! X hair looked different in the box, but is pretty much the same as original. However, helmet is a banger and he looks really good with my 2 elites. Quite happy with that. So far back with my viewing 'plan' I haven't read any sport pages this week, I didn't even realise it's an international football weekend! Are you a follower of what I call proper football? (especially around Americans!)

Great review! I just started collecting TVC. I saw that Maul hanging on the peg and had to grab him. Now I’ve added the new emperor and Commander Wolffe. I’m still mainly collecting black series, but if I see something cool (like Ahsoka), I’ll pick it up.

Managed to pick these up during an out of town trip my local stores rarely have them in stock. But in a Walmart in the "sticks" so to speak I scored!! It was actually a fresh case still sitting on a pallet unopened

A fantastic pair of figures. Gonna look great posed next to the Razors Crest when we get it. In the uk they have the 4 Carbon collection figures in this scale at a rediculous price of $22 a pop. Love to see Hasbro try selling them for that much in the US.

I hope we get at minimum a rerelease or archive in Black Series for Ahsoka but the ultimate wish would be the return of the Black Series 2 pack with a brand new sculpt with accurate leg and boot armor Ashoka and a next level Maul!!🔥🔥

@@OutOfTheBasement I finally got these 2 from Dorkside the other day. Ahsoka's head was disconnected from her body. Lol. Good thing for patience and hot water, definitely awesome figures.

This version of Darth Maul is definitive in this scale in my opinion, easily trumping the other TVC versions of Maul from the Phantom Menace. I dig his artificial legs and overall outfit they used on him in S7 and this figure. I’m hoping we get this now in the 6” Black Series. Great review of these great figures Nate! Appreciate it….😬.

Afternoon One Eight Straight! Excellent review as usual Mr M. Doesn't really matter as I would watch you paint plastic! As Boba said here, it's good to see some tvc lovin'. Never really understood this bs versus tvc "beef". I have a few tvc and love them. The only reason I don't collect tvc and bs is the same reason why I don't own a brand new Aston Martin! Anyone who likes sw and has deep pockets will collect both. Always love a bit of extra Basement content. I've been enjoying your "collection-sections" videos recently where we get to see all the goodies you profess not to collect! No, sorry, that's just my imagination running wild! I've even named it for you now! The longer you leave it, the harder it becomes. That's what she said! Hope you are having a top weekend. Just got my Imp x hair delivered as I got home. Totally different to bb x hair which is a pleasant surprise. Said to J I got electric purge yesterday and his "dark helmet" was really good. I've looked at x hair and his dark helmet is a banger also! I'm being assailed by good looking dark helmets!
Forgot, got major bludd yesterday so that is 3 great dark helmets in 1 day! Opened 4 joes now. Superb figures in my opinion.
Imp x hair has removable dark helmet which i didn't know about. Cant have been paying attention. Same head, same body slight chest piece difference. Looks different in box, but no. Different belt/ helmet / all black is only difference to bb but I'm okay with that.
Just put him with 2 elite troopers and they look a right treat together!
Yeah the beef between the lines might be the dumbest thing about collecting SW. Why can’t we all just get along and be happy when one line gets a fig and the other gets a different one. In an ideal world of course it would be great to get the same figs at the same time but alas that will never happen. Congrats on all your pick ups! I told you the Joe’s were a damn slippery slope! I can’t wait to get my Imp Crosshair, that figure looks like a banger for sure! -Nate

I wish Black Series would do a Mandalore Darth Maul and the accessories would include his double-blades lightsaber and a stand that says “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, and under it, it would say his name “Darth Maul”. Does anybody agree! Please reply below, unless it’s negative.

Yeah I stopped getting Black Series all together I started with VC too just look at the first AHSOKA TANO in VC ? $800.00 wait What on the secondary market ? Yeah Even their Dengar is a $140.00 on the secondary market vs Black series $50.00 I did the math. Love that maul . Got him!
That is the one thing I wish TVC was better at. Some of the older figures are so insanely expensive it’s kind of a turn off in terms of getting deep into the line. Atleast most black series figures don’t shoot up in value like that. Thanks for watching! -Nate
