rotorway sold dreams. the piston engines are mega high maintenance,. ive got an exec 90, cant source a turbine kit, but have since realised the only helicopter i would be happy and feel safe to fly would be a turbine.your ship is magnificent, well done.
wow didnt know people were still building these. Love the heart you put into it, great color scheme including the subtle blue gearbox you can see from the engine shroud!
Well done, I remember watching you build part of this over the years in the shed, great to see your hard work pay off and finally land the helicopter at your house. Absolutely brilliant
The second hand market in US but is very few , the KISS kit aviation in California is no longer in business but with luck you may found a turbine helicopter seating in the hangar for sale somewhere
Actually the maintenance is quite good ,the TBO on the turbine is 3000 hours ,the rotor head is pretty solide but like every helicopter a preflight check is important , the EFIS allow to monitor a lot of parameter like bearing temperature , EGT , oil pressure and temperature etc...
@@pascal66990 thanks, I worked on blackhawks in the army and now work for the airlines on fixed wing and hold a fixed wing pilot license…..would love to get into rotor, would u recommend buying a rotor way to build time? I know this will vary from person to person financially but if I can afford it, would it make a good helicopter for the mission? Does it do alright on mid length cross countries
@@hansenfuentes3541 with your experience in maintenance Blackhawks will be easier for you to built for more information you can go rotorway owner's group

Thank you Phil , hope is all good for you ?
Don Hillberg designed the Jet Exec in 1993 - Met Dave & Walter at Bobs Cafe and the rest is history
Where in Australia did you buy the kit, motor etc?

Just curious ware you source the drive and engine setup for your exec
the gearbox and accessory was provided by KISS Aviation in California but unfortunately no longer in business
@@pascal66990 oh that’s no fun, do you know of any other company that makes that sort of thing?
no ,but some time you can get on the second hand market
Aircraft mechanic here, how’s the maintenance on something like this? Is it a very needy and demanding bird or user friendly ? Thanks

I think the "How" part was overlooked in this video.
Sweet what does the kiss kit go for if u don’t mind me asking
Unfortunately the kit KISS is no longer available but most of the part is coming from automotive industrie , is no problem for the maintenance
