Are Cheap Chinese Pocket Watches Any Good ?

- A couple of Chinese pocket watches. One quartz and one mechanical, really cheap so not expecting much, but both keep really good time. Didn't cost much so no great loss and cheap enough to replace if they get damaged.

Does it have the gears of a pocket watch and does it work well the quartz one
It looks cheap but they do look nice
I have a couple sifferent ones at my home.. they're fine, actually. My main on is a strictly mechanical wind up that you can see the engine from the back and front. It has, over the face a plate that looks like a circular window that will open up. The only thing is, dont over wind it. I learned the hard way, but i havent made the same mistake since then and i got a duplicate. I wear it wherever i go and its a great boredom cure, esecially in the ugly factory that i work on the line at. Also , the big thing for me is that it is not battery powered.
For the price they cost you can't go wrong really.

Yeah I have a cheep Chinese watch ... quarts I do have mechanical watches but I took my mechanical ones out a few times love em to death but at times I get worried it's gunna break ... So I carry a cheep Chinese pocket watch for now I got it ... At a gift shop were there was a piret musical so it's got a nautical octopus design
i think the weight is way too low for the mainspring as it might be wounded to the max.

Sorry to say, but you're not sitting on a fortune. Nice little watch though.
The weight is for show obviously because it winds up.
There is a demand for reliable quartz pocket watches but there's so much junk being made they're almost impossible to find.
Definitely, I must have dropped lucky, mine has been really good.

I dont see why they would go all the way and then make the face plastic. I absolutely love all these designs and would buy many but now idk if i even want one. I had about 8 or 10 in my shopping cart until now.

Nice video. A few years ago bought a souvenir pocketwatch in Ireland, with of course a cheap Chinese movement, not automatic. Totally right about automatic on a pocketwatch. As useful as tits on a bull as they say.

Yes at times the Chinese wothers normally stop working closely a month i notice thay still sell them on eBay I weel get one and I see if this wind-up pocket watch weel last the same as yous wot thay on line there's whochers are high grade for are cheap whoch the one you got at list it still going that's good for a cheap whoch thank you for letting me know about this kip.up with the good videos 👍

Pull out the crown and rotate to set the time.
