Got a '91 base Toyota pickup brand new when I was stationed at Alameda Ca for $6995. Truck was so awesome! Same color like the Exhaust And Loweing another hardbody video.
Hey there I don't want this to come off as me hating or talking sh!t about your video at all even though it may come across that way. But I wanted to point out or make some aware of the issue/s about this. First would be stacking blocks like that is very dangerous to do. It's hard to explain on here but if you look up on TH-cam what lowering blocks do to your springs there is videos showing what happens to the spring when it's got blocks in it. Idk if u have ever seen lift/lowering blocks that are more then 3 inches but they have a tapper to them so it will correct your pinion angle of the drive shaft witch is also very important! So u don't chew up u joints and get strange vibrations from the drive line. Doing it the way you did is more of a concern if he had to stop fast, or in an accident it can become a major issue of strength and staying together not to mention just axle wrap can make the driver lose control of the vehicle. I don't think he is going to be putting much stuff in the bed so weight won't be a concern really but I would strongly suggest looking into something like four links or going to off road web sites and finding blocks that are one piece and have the angle needed to correct the drive shaft pinnion angle. They make 6 inch blocks for off road trucks witch it's the same block if u want to lower a truck but six inches a a bit much!! Lol but again I'm not trying to talk shit I just wish someone had filled me in on some of this stuff when I was your age I could have avoided a lot of headaches!! But please do look up proper pinion angle and lower/lift blocks and how they affect your springs and truck drivability!! See for yourself on the videos so that way u can learn from them and not have someone like me explaining it poorly on here lol. Your on the right path though!! Get out and get your hands dirty and always be open to learn things everyday!! Besafe y'all!!
Firstname Lastname is allowed thanks I appreciate it , my grind was running his truck like that so I just helped him lower it more and my truck is bagged so I don’t really have to worry about that stuff on my truck
yeah thats such a dangerous set up only remove one load leaf from the whole pack and get a shop to completely flatten the whole leaf pack (should be a 7 - 8 inch drop) then add 2 to 3 inch blocks max without stacking would hate to see the blocks fall out down the highway over a bump and destroy this nice truck and possible hurt the driver plus ur leaf hangers will be higher off the ground aswell
Get those leafs de arched there's places that will make them for you. Having your diff so far away from your centerline will eat that pinion bearing quick...and you carrier bearings too.
I used a 4" angle drop block and removed a spring and it gave me a 5" drop total, still tucked 19x 9.5 rear and 19x 8s front, had to cut fender well and moved it up 3" to clear front tires tho. With air shocks.
It's addictive. I was out of the mini scene for 15 years then I picked up a '94 Toyota with engine problems. Since then I've built four more trucks. Now I'm looking for a Datsun 620.
I got a 93 Toyota pickup and a Nissan 350z ur boy axel got the same set up haha that’s tight af good video tel ur boy good shit on the Nissan and yota mix haha
cool video man. but mono leaf is sort of dangerous and also stacking blocks is a huge no no. they can actually flip over and shove the axle to one diretion and fuck the truck up. a pan hard bar can help this from happening tho. keep up the good videos man its always cool to watch people helping other car guys out
Why don't you just flip the leaf springs upside down? Me and my friends us to flip the leafs upside down on Suzuki Samurai drop or add drop blocks. That's going be a very hard stiff driving if he hits any pot holes or and minor dips on the road
Buen trabajo carnal you guys did a great job, My question is donde puedo conseguir las little lights que van on the side of the fender? I have a Nissan 1997 like yours ! Hope u can answer my question
How do these Toyota’s ride when you lower them? I had a Nissan 720 that rode really bad once I lowered I and I didn’t like it. I love the body style of these I wanna get one but not sure how they ride
primdex which bumps stops , the ones on the rear ? But we have a buddy who has a s10 as well who did blocks also and took the bump stops off and he hits too , for s10s I would suggest to get a knotch like the Toyota in this video
Nvm I just saw the end and it looks like the overload sits about the same on the bottom how I thought it would sit on the top, touching on both sides at the ends of the leaf, any positive affect to running it on the top or too much of a headache for little effect?
Hey bro nice work their.. I have a 1998 Toyota truck as well I'm trying to lower too. What are are in? Would like to link up you. Looks like you know wat u doing 👌
Hey I got a 97 nissan hardbody and want to go lower how do I lower my front? I was thinking of doing the beltech lowering leaf springs and a 3 inch block. But have no clue how to do the front.
jonathna11 first make sure you have tires that fit, my truck was 4 inches from the floor, I removed 1 leaf spring from the back and had it on 2 inch block and the front just lowered the torsion bars
but if you loosen the torsion bars, dont you get bad camber. and have to get it aligned ? (this is the only reason why i havent messed with my torsion bars yet.)
I used to "rig" my old Toyota like this. All my friends did the same. Most of us are still alive 30 years later. Live and learn.

Those trucks look nice.
It's awesome you're helping ur friends and others.
The “how to” section is a great addition to your videos, entertaining and informative.
I vote do more 👍🏿

@@dirtrusty7228 did you ever get a 620?
what a good guy, i really hope you are doing well my friend
Man!!! Use at least a 4x4 block of wood. Never a 2x4. Very dangerous. Be Safe!
Awesome job bro 👍 from Brisbane Australia
I love the reggae music in the background. But how do you lower the front of the mini truck ???
you can either adjust the torsion bars, buy lowering spindles, or flip the ball joints. I would recommend doing torsion bars + any of the other two
Does no one care about how their trucks drive anymore instead of doing the cheapest job?
Humble dude 👍🏼
What are those wheel specs and spacer size ???
Aestetic enthusiast right here
What kind of wheels are those?
Na man forget the haters! Like you said just improve from them but keep up the good vids!

did he have any issue with the drive shaft shifting forward?

Does Air Shocks bring the car lower than normal shocks?
Aye Oside represent 👊🏻
the jenga rear lowering block method
Did you guys take off the bump stops bc I did this to my s10 and It’s hitting my frame hella hard all the time
primdex which bumps stops , the ones on the rear ?

Is it possible to put the overload leaf on top to stiffen it up when running the mono leaf?
Nvm I just saw the end and it looks like the overload sits about the same on the bottom how I thought it would sit on the top, touching on both sides at the ends of the leaf, any positive affect to running it on the top or too much of a headache for little effect?

I just did one to my friends truck. It's good along as you dont overload the bed with weight. You get about 2 inch drop just doing this..
PayPal WireIN It’s never good to remove leafs and a big mistake to stack blocks. Very unsafe and rides like crap.

what sizes are the wheels??
0.53 how low was there
He's kinda shy... uh... no.
5 inch blocks.his rear end must touch the bed.didnt see the notch.
