On public roads only go as fast as you can see to stop depending on the weather and road conditions. Track and private roads you could push a little, but your Tyre contact patch is the fine line between grip and possible serious injury. Live to ride another day.

The scary part, and one people like myself and Brian didn't consider, is actually NOT DYING from your accident, but instead becoming permanently handicapped. I got VERY LUCKY but I can imagine staring at my bike all day knowing I can never ride it again. Worse than death IMO.
@@julianb1550 Out of interest, why no helmet?
@@HJDL I've never liked the way they sit or feel on my head so I've always just risked it.

Lol his chin looks so sharp and aerodynamic
As a cyclist myself I am always wondering why some think they have a special bubble around them save them from themselves and other people on the road. This is just ignorant.
Roas Cycling is never boring but if you pass a porsche is more funnier LOL

Road*
Incredibly reckless passing a car on the curve, not stopping at an intersection when the roads are open. Giving cyclists a bad name. And yes, i was a former professional cyclist.
Agreed. He's reckless, and self absorbed. He not only puts his own life at risk, but the lives of others. A cautious driver could react suddenly to avoid a crash with this sorry guy and careen over the side of the road into the canyon below and die. For what it's worth, I'm an ranked AG racer in the NY/NJ area and not a self righteous motorist.
Normally pro cyclists aren't afraid of sharing their names in the public forum...
LOL!!! Thumbs up & Subscribed!!! Don't you two even think about it! It's far too dangerous!!!
@@SAFABrian I think he meant BMX
Yep, a cyclist should follow all traffic laws unless it's an event and roads are closed with special permission for the cyclists only.
It’s always fun until you’re dead and your family doesn’t have a loved one. Stay safe folks.
Lol your family may not care as much as you may think
@@gm836 Yeah I think my parents will get over it in a matter of two years. my siblings won't care nor will my relatives. i have no friends so there won;t be any to be bothered too lol so yeah it holds up for me. sorry didnt mean to insult you
@@Triadii man. You’re life’s meaning is more than just what another person thinks or cares of you. Who cares if they get over it or not. You add value to your life.
I always compare cycling to skiing. When going down hill at least, the wind into your face, navigating corners and undulations, absolutely flying down the hill. It's brilliant
3:29 woo that was too close. the person driving the car was nice though. ride safe man
Looks dangerous pal, be careful! Descending at those speeds, it's considered a major danger for the pros and they do it in organised closed road races. You're doing it on regular roads with live traffic and taking blind corners, intersections and running stop signs, By all means enjoy cycling but do it safely.
I legit try to give my respects to cyclists but they keep fuckin up and refusing to take the blame, i don't have hope for them anymore.
I just hope i'll never be the wall they'll hit because of their careless riding and have a death on my mind for the rest of my days.
I'd rather climb it. Seems like it would be quite a challenge.
Climbing is more interesting
Every climb must have a decent eh? But fr tho that seems like it would be an awesome climb, I'm bias to the climb aswell lol
I love the climb lol. But the descent is the reward
Wait do roadies actually like climbing
@@vallejodroning9578 I love climbing. I live in Virginia, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Nothing better than a 70 miler on the Blue Ridge Parkway - climb after climb after climb.
Check my channel if you like; you'll see short snippets of what I just described. I don't have a GoPro, thus the short vids. Hard to climb and hold the camera...
I used to go 100% all the time - then I ended up on the ground with a broken clavicle - it could have been much worse but it's a strange feeling to suddenly go horizontal for no apparent reason. For me, it was just a trickle of water in the road with moss growing in it. I do about 80% now. No wrecks since.
Same here dude, like literally the same story... rather be safe than dead
There are times to be fast and times to be careful. Some riders only learn the hard way, and Brian here hasn't learned hard enough yet.
0:48 "We got a Porsche slowing us down..." 🤣
The bicycle beat the Porsche and there was nothing it could do about it lol
03:26 I was expecting this to happen for sure. Thank your guardian angels that you weren't airborne soon after.
Im get a lot more scared when Im descending on my road bike than on my mtb on very technical steep singletrack
100 percent I have a good amount of confidence in my riding but flying downhill on pavement on public streets hoping all drivers are good and sane drivers and hopefully no one is intoxicated is another level of risk.
I'd rather break my arm than scraping the skin from my bones
2:13 The S curve bro! 😍😍
I dreamed of having a Road bike but can't afford one for now.
Watching you riding like this makes me more inspired and hoping to ride one soon.
I'll create road bike compilation soon 😍😍😍
The gimbal could barely keep up 😂
If you wanna save time AND effort, buy from the first time a Road bike with Shimano Sora or Tiagra.
And if you're newbie, a bike like that will last and take you out for a long long, really long Time.
A sincerely advice from all my experience.
Peace homie, be alright😁
Don't get any ideas from this lunatic. He's got a death wish!
@Jonathan yes but there is pride when I go up a ramp or average a certain speed without help of a motor. If I need a motor, I drive my car. I don’t have an e bike.
Yeah we love avoiding traffic sir
You know the drill!
I'm a 13 year old kid who rides a 20 year old mtb and even I'm more responsible than this man, I'm just surprised he even recorded this without embarresment
Looks fun but you've proven why people hate cyclists. Respect the road laws the same as other motorists!
This is a awesome video in beautiful countryside, just dial down the confidence a notch on blind corners man it was a little nerve racking 🤪. Ride on!
I enjoy going downhill as much as anyone, but unfortunatelly your video shows why drivers don't respect us cyclist.
One thing to ride reckless on trails, but this is absolutely insane... no anticipation of other people's mistakes. This will not end well.
He'll be lucky if he eventually only loses a leg from the thigh down.
This dude passed a whole porshe on a BICYCLE..
Not just pass it he totally humiliated it lol
For goodness’ sake, cycle safely or do not cycle at all!
Taking blind turns on the opposite lane, shooting intersections blindly without caution. The way you cycle is a safety hazard for all those on the road!
If you are unconcerned for your own life, at least have the humanity to be concerned for other people’s lives. It is not up to you decide whom’s life is put in jeopardy from your reckless cycling. There is a social responsibility upon all those who take up a vehicle on the road.
Always remember that.
Lol.... Cars? Nah! Blind corners? Nah! Traffic laws? Nah! Dog? Oh, must brake.
Would be nice - and informative - to see on occasional 'Speed Figure' appear in the corner periodically. To give us more of an idea of what's actually being performed here.
3:23 that Crash is a good lesson and can happen to anyone. I remember descending superfast downhill I came off a blind corner and there was sand on the exit and I almost flew off the road no guardrails. Always slow down on steep blind corners. Its not worth it.
That moment was damn scary, it instantly reminded my accident with a car few months ago!
@@DoomNerd67200 I hope you alright. It's not nice to get into accidents while riding

The seven stitches in my chin all say that you shouldn't be an idiot. If you ride on the vehicle lanes then you're a vehicle. Respect traffic regulations.
The moment you overtake this guy in his sportcar
ahhhhh nice man 😂
maybe its boring to watch but definetly not boring to be on one :)
Турецкий Акцент not even boring to watch
It sounds like a subway train when you're braking 🙂
3:20 dangerous 😱 😱
That is super stupid and irresponsible.
You know he was embarrassed when the guy in the car asked if he was ok. “Yeah, it’s just sand.”
His ego got bruised and he could only come up with that lame deflection.
Sure road riding is exciting when you have curvy twisty downhill roads like this. Otherwise for many of us where all the roads are straight and flat, yes it’s actually very boring and little more than exercise.
3:27 watch out
Thanks for the heads up!
@@SAFABrian hahahah
Oubshit
If I were driving i would have hit him. Not on purpose but because im not the best driver and tend to drive fast especially around familiar roads. One bad driver + one bad cyclist will always end in a crash, and only one is walking away without a scratch.
This guy is wreck less and giving a cyclist bad picture
When you get taken over by a dude with half the amount of wheels while wearing Lycra
I laughed when he said "we got a car slowing us down"
Imagine obeying the rules of the road, loser
@UCaA6HUUaIjANlJlnh6T4yzg rules are made for you safety you fucki.ng loser
On public roads only go as fast as you can see to stop depending on the weather and road conditions. Track and private roads you could push a little, but your Tyre contact patch is the fine line between grip and possible serious injury.
Live to ride another day.
Was riding fast like this down a hill a couple of years ago. Front tyre locked up, and fell of sliding legs first into a road barrier. You are more at risk riding a bike. Take care, being on the road taking your time is better than being rushed into the hospital
Imagine doing this, but doing the opposite way.
Each time you take your bike to the road, the god of death takes interest in your ride.
I ride on the roads regularly precisely to spite the god of death. He loves car-dependent people with their diabetes, obesity and heart diseases made worse by road rage...
Kudos to the driver👌❤
I just bought a new bike at a yard sale and I'll tell ya this bike was in tip top perfect condition I just got back from a bike ride and that thing is like a dream smooth gears and steering everything great about it.
Dude be riding like he got a respawn point
How not to ride: Every corner cross onto the wrong side of the road.
1:41 - what an idiotic movement and everything just for a likes on youtube...
That 718 driver be like “tf did I just got passed by a man powered two wheel??”
I am a mountain biker, but ever time I get on the road, I’ll be carful about the blind spot, be safe and have fun descending.
Totally horrific blind curves at wrong speeds and blames the sand!!
“We’ve got a Porsche slowing us down”! Bloody supercars, they always get in the way.
It's a shame all the main roads don't have a small lane at the side for these slow supercars to make it easier for all Cyclists to overtake
This is hella risky and the moment when he almost collided with the car scare the crap out of me...
This guy will likely have a devastating wreck at some point in his career.
armstrong, giamon, evenepoel, froome...the list goes on...
You are an extremely talented desender, but also a very lucky one. May both continue to hold out for you. Thanks for the ride.
There is a reason I like that road as a climb than a descent. I agree that Fernwood to Topanga is safer and still a fun descent.
Man I remember when I fell trying to brake in a curve on a sandy road, yeah it did not go out well for me
Brian carefull i know the curve with sand + the car was inevitable but remember we have to ride palomar mountain soon !!
dogma f10 I have ridden Palomar mountain on motorcycle and convertible mustang (foxbody 408 cubic inches) ....really scary in both ...now I must do it on a road bike ...cannondale caad10 ...🔥🔥🔥
Imagine the guy in the car at 3:20 would have filmed a „car driving is boring“ video for YT at the same time :)
Then Brian would be one of the Darwin award nominees...
As a motorcyclist who already has to deal with cars being in the wrong side of the road, quit that shit out.
As a motorcyclist and a cyclist there is no way I could do those twistys on my road bike, I'm too scared lol
I stick to the sprinter flatlands and leave the climbing to the lighter cyclists. I need 50 hp up in the mountains.
as long as someone pick up the camera and upload it on live leaks idc how reckless he ride his bike 😂😁
This dude content deserved a million subscribers.
Crossing a double yellow line to overtake a Porsche 👏👏Bravo! You go girl!!
when we do training here in the philippines we train near our city hall, yesterday when i turned there was sand and i used my brakes with no luck back tire lost grip and yeah i have a big RIP on my left kneecap and my right leg hit my frame and it hurts, but i still continued training and still hit the big 40kph on the climbs, stay safe everyone :))).
0:51 He is biking faster than the porsche WTF???
Dude, that stop sign was WAY too sketchy to blow!
This was more dangerous than riding a motorcycle
it depends on the driver's level of idiocy

@@outra5810 its like motorcycling on an empty road? why would he end up dead?. I guess if u go hard into blind corners.
@@AM-hh2jb these roads have sharp turns and a lot of stop signs but he just doesn't seem to mind. there is a reason why motorcycles are more dangerous than cars. I cycle myself but roads like these and i would take them slower. It just takes one little mistake and your life is gone.
sliding out while taking a blind turn with an oncoming car BUT AT HIGH SPEEDS
I would never ride that fast in this area! I just got my first road bike and only because I have over 60 miles (100+ if you want to leave town) of dedicated bike trail running through the county with no cars. I am a mountain biker but I have owned a motorcycle before and have ridden it hard. I know that riding on the road is more dangerous than mountain biking. The speeds involved and the unpredictability of the behavior of others and road surface is a bad combination IMO. I have fallen multiple times on my MTB and have always been able to walk away. You hit a car at 40+ mph and it’s going in the opposite direction or simply wipe out mid turn, and you likely won’t walk away without serious injury or even death.
"So what did you do today?" "Nothing much, overtook a porsche on my bicycle while chatting to my camera ... the usual!"
You need to slow down on public roads. You’re not in the Tour De France and you were taking big risks at intersections and round blind corners. A proper MAMIL!
You almost slam into that car. How do you feel after that
Come on guys this is so much fun! Great ride.
Yeah man , living his best life
A drop of water on a corner: I'm boutta end this man's whole career
If the video speed is not artificially made, then it's scary as hell.
Safe riding bro, there are many beautiful places on earth are waiting for us to come, we need a soul within the body to go there.
-Greeting from here, a 15km/hr road bike cyclist-
Porsche: N A N I
Cutting corners, blowing stop signs, going wide... speed is fun... getting wrapped around somebody's windshield... not so much!
Only reason he ran wide in the first place was because you could see all that sand on the deck and had to alter his line. Plus had to stick it in the deck to scrub off speed quick or hit the car. I wanna see you de-send with Cal Crutchlow, I bet he is a demon on his Sworks !! Lovin your channel.
Clearly this guy hasn't broken anything in a cyclist vs car accident. Buddy, I was like you, then came inches from death not even a month ago when I slammed into the side of a car that cut me off as I was doing 50kph no helmet, I also could have been a little more cautious. Now I'm recovering from surgery. Sure, you can die in a crash, but what's worse is not dying and months/years/permanent damage and pain to you and those around you. My mom is literally taking care of me right now and I'm 30.
That's my rant. Apart from that what I like most about your vids is the clear passion for cycling you have, and the amazing scenic views of the California coastline, which being from the Great White North, means I'm jealous as fuck. Stay safe friend!
ill be honest man this type of cycling is fun as hell. the other i was mountain biking and my rear axle snapped somehow and my wheel came off. if i was going faster then i was i would have flown off the cliff. so be careful your bike isnt unbreakable !
