You can technically get olive oil without using the store, giving Serum 207 or Serum 208 to the afflicted villagers have a chance to give you olive oil. You can also get willow and maple logs from giving them Serum 208, though the chance is pretty shit.
This has become one of my favorite series. It's just such an interesting way to play the game and leads to some very unusual grinds. You're doing a great job!
Favorite area is Keldagrim for some reason, although the dungeons under Miscellania are a close second. Love how the Kelda Rat Pits have unique NPC's unlike all the other Rat Pits locations, love the idea of Keldagrim tasks (There's six dwarves around town you can deliver items to for either experience or cash, as well as the rowdy dwarf (number seven) who only offers cash). The wiki page for tasks its incomplete, tho, as its such a niche activity. Would love to see what an efficient community data collection session might yield, how efficient it is for each skill that's doable, what weird items are involved.
2:29 Shades are unique in that they don't trigger auto retaliate if they don't land an attack, landing 0 counts as a hit. It is stupid and jank mechanic copy and pasted from the shades in the village.

So for future reference when you are doing something that involves a lot of running, you should probably not wear all of your armor as that increases your weight and decreases how long your run energy lasts.
to answer your prompting question, my favorite niche area is probably goblin village. It feels like ever so barely not fleshed out enough, you go there for one quest which is goblin diplomacy and it's nearly useless otherwise (i guess you learn the salute and stuff for the dorgesh kaan quest but still). Would love to see like a goblin boss or some new content there, I've always been so intrigued by the teleport orbs but they have like NO use

For areas with great aesthetics, I love Camdozaal. When I was new to OSRS, I played a f2p chunklocked account and ended up spending a bunch of time in there, and I just loved it. It has delightfully chill vibes, even if we now know what's under it thanks to DT2 lol. Great music, cool (if tragically useless for members) training methods, and everything's purple!

Welcome in! Quest items are allowed from anywhere, at the time of recording this episode there was no method to get them at all as I hadn't unlocked fishing, and the shops all required zeah favour/quests I'm not allowed to complete - so it was locked if I couldn't change it so snails! These days, no Zeah favour and Varlamore fishing shop, so it'd be possible without the fishing level.
7:26 Someone added that tip to the wiki's main page after seeing this video but I included it to its quick guide as well just now. I wonder if canceling out the dialogue while staying logged in also re-rolls the requirements.
This might be bending the rules, but at level 33 hunter you can use a log obtained from a chest to deadfall trap a barbtailed kebbit. That would give you a harpoon so you can do tempoross to get the reward pool caskets. The chance of getting a casket is 1/20 and it has tons of useful drops like all of the rune armor pieces, 50-100 noted silver or gold bars, all gems up to and including dragonstones, loop and tooth half keys and all the gold jewelry up to diamond. Otherwise, you can barehand harpoonfish if you complete barbarian fishing as an alternative.
Tempoross is allowed, and as it's locked behind 'having a way to catch harpoonfish' I am allowed to either use a harpoon for it, or learn barehand fishing for it - butttt I have to get 7 more leo random events to lamp to 5 fishing to actually be able to train to 35 😅
I think the slums of meiyerditch or entrana are the coolest for me. I think entrana has the old aesthetics of the game and the slums just look interesting, so much going on and it’s literally a maze
It's funny seeing this come out right after I finished my grind to 90 wc and 95 fm for the highest tier of shades to drop guaranteed gold keys for farming the bloodbark scroll lol Not a lot of people do shades but honestly the grind to 90/95 was worth it. I gained so much gp as an iron from gold chests. I got the scrolls really fast but I honestly want to go back to farm for the zealot robes just as an excuse to accumulate a ton of gp from alching all the drops!
also for the part where you ran out of run energy a lot with the lightbulbs--did you consider banking your gear? it adds a lot of weight which drains your run faster

Perhaps I'm missing something, but is there a reason why you don't do Wintertodt for firemaking xp/log rewards? The rewards come in the form of a crate, which I'd categorize as a loot chest.
Crates != chests! I have a full ruleset in Episode 1's pinned comment, but basically crates and chests have very distinct features that categorise them from on another, but more importantly... I think adding wintertodt would make the account more boring for me! Same with stuff like Soul Wars crates.
9:20 seems like when you're getting the 16 xp it's from using a 4 dose sacred oil, and when you get 10xp it's because you're using a 2 dose, wonder if for some reason the xp is based on the doses you have and not the doses it uses or something like that for some unknown reason
You can double your hop limit by using different clients, as long as you're not a jagex account. I don't remember what the other client even is but if you can't figure it out the f2p discord/guides can help. It doubles the starting hops and doubles the hops/hr that it regens so you can do way more. Also i left this comment already and its not showing up so shrug emoji
Are you planning on doing these as repeatable content for when the Amulet of the Damned charges run out? Not sure if there is a permanent amulet you can get that is as good or better from quests until crafting grind
I’m not sure if this would be considered a chest or not but the Ali morrisane shop. It’s been a while since I’ve done it but if I remember correctly you do a sudoku to unlock a chest and he sells you what’s inside of it aka runes

So, you said you have no way to make Splitbark and I felt like I should drop this (in case you're allowed to get clue requirements and activities to get clues) You can make Splitbark Armour because there is two clue steps that require the Splitbark body (one Elite, one Master). The is one Elite clue step that requires you to wear Splitbark legs. Because Magpie Implings can drop clue scrolls, you can also get Splitbark gauntlets. Because Ninja Implings can drop clue scrolls, you can get the Splitbark Helmet. Swamp Crabs drop caskets, and they also drop Bark. I am unsure if this stretches your personal rules, but it is a fun endeavour to try to get Swampbark/Bloodbark.
I love this response, but you are correct in that it breaches my rules, it would be a little bit weird for me to be like 'Okay I'm just gonna go kill bandos and get a bandos godsword!' because it's a clue requirement for example, it's the same for the other ones too, if I kill npcs I can only pick up: 'Keys', 'Clues' and 'Chests' or other things that act as keys and lead to chests (Champion scrolls for example)! The same would apply to implings! Some people disagree with me, but I made these rules for ME to enjoy the account more and have a challenge, and there is a pinned FAQ on episode 1 that answers additional questions!
It's an argument sure! But I wanted to make this account as challenging as possible for my own enjoyment, so it's basically 'all experience gained must be chest related' too, for example I have an axe from a chest, but I can't just.. cut trees, I'm going to need to plant my own trees with seeds from chests, and then cut those!
After the rogue trader mini quest Ali Morrisane gets a chest of runes from Aubury to sell. would this be against your rules because it would be a great way to get elemental runes.

The plugin 'Dorgesh-Kaan Lights' is really helpful for doing the light orbs, as it'll autodetect places you can put them and tell you where to go.

I love this response, but you are correct in that it breaches my rules, it would be a little bit weird for me to be like 'Okay I'm just gonna go kill bandos and get a bandos godsword!' because it's a clue requirement for example, it's the same for the other ones too, if I kill npcs I can only pick up: 'Keys', 'Clues' and 'Chests' or other things that act as keys and lead to chests (Champion scrolls for example)! The same would apply to implings!

I think because you can get the swamp bark thing you should be able to use it because it was a reward from a chest but that's me

But I wanted to make this account as challenging as possible for my own enjoyment, so it's basically 'all experience gained must be chest related' too, for example I have an axe from a chest, but I can't just.. cut trees, I'm going to need to plant my own trees with seeds from chests, and then cut those!
