    I use an Asvine V126 in my daily work and an eyedropper pen as a backup. Thanks for the technique of full filling

    I recently bought my first vac filler. A matte black V169. I'm surprised at how much I use it. It is really starting to grow on me. I hope it will be released in blue and coffee too.

    I still don't get it. Where and how do you connect your Hoover?
    The more things change, the more they stay the same. Same basic idea for the early Sheaffer's vac fillers.
    Another good, simple instruction for a still very common, but potentially confusing filling system for some. Especially when trying to read some Google Translate fiascos from some Chinese pens.

    If you have a vacuum filler, you must know the precautions of filling and using the pen. If you have a vacuum filler and are a novice, you have been warned.
    I like both the 456 and the Original +. I also have a Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown too.

    Hey Doug I have a question for you... Do you run soapy water in your Pelikan or Leonardo piston fillers as well or just water? Does the soap make the lubrication on the inside of the barrel dissipate more than just water or ink over time?

    • @InkquiringMinds
      @InkquiringMinds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Soapy water just helps break up surface tension and helps clean out ink. It doesn’t lubricant as you rinse it out with clear water. I use silicone grease on pistons.

      @williamcatalano1762 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InkquiringMinds So soapy water is fine to use in a piston filler then? I didn't know for sure because I just have my Furore Grande, and now 3 Pelikans and haven't tried it with soapy water like my converters. I've just used water with them.

    • @InkquiringMinds
      @InkquiringMinds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@williamcatalano1762 Just ensure you rinse the soapy water out with clear water. And soapy means one drop of Dawn for one cup of water.

      @@InkquiringMinds Good deal thanks Doug! That is pretty much how I do it exactly with my converter pens.

    I have a Wing 3013 with the same system. I find it great fun

    • @InkquiringMinds
      @InkquiringMinds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But the 3013 doesn’t have a shut off valve.

    • @paulherman5822
      @paulherman5822 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Be careful with the 3013. Out of the 6 I've had, only one hasn't broken. Cap tended to shatter where the clip is attached. Brittle seems a hallmark of the 3xxx Wing Sung pens.

      @@paulherman5822 I think Wing Sung Junior has its plastic made by TWSBI

    • @paulherman5822
      @paulherman5822 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InkquiringMinds There's a suspicious similarity... What with the 3008, and them not targeting Wing Sung and their piston fillers when they went after other companies, I'm not sure there's that much difference between TWSBI and Wing Sung, except for the vendors.

    • @InkquiringMinds
      @InkquiringMinds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paulherman5822 TSBI obviously sources its pistons from China, so it isn’t beyond reasonable to assume the plastics are sourced from the same Chinese factories.
