Hey everyone! I hope you enjoy this video of me trying on my closet to explore how I look in different colors. I also 100% misspelled “fuchsia” in the video titles. Forgive me! 🥰😘

Fuchsia is always a miss-spell for me, too. I'm still not sure I spelled it right.

Light blue, turquoise, fuscia, purple are all absolutely stunning with your silvers. The greens look really great, too, and the light pink is so pretty and soft looking with your hair. The beige, brown and muddy colors aren’t the best. That was fun.

Thanks, Lynn! 🥰😘 I learned a lot by doing this and I think everyone might enjoy doing something like this at home. I agree with you-the muted earth tones aren’t really flattering me the way jewel tones do now. 🤩🤩

Thank you, this was fun and helpful. I’m going through the same process with clothes and makeup. It’s kind of hard to say goodbye to colors that I loved for so many years-but I’m welcoming new ones. 😊

Debbie, yes I know just what you mean. I think soft tan and cream are less interesting to me now, but rich purple, bright pink and Kelly green are feeling right. 🌈

This video confirms that I too MUST wear gemstone colours with my silver/white hair, porcelain cool skin and green eyes and get rid of the patterns that flattered me best when I was a brunette.
    Thank you for this.

I found that video so charming, and it's SO NOT something I would ordinarily watch at all. I was just about to buy some turtlenecks for the winter and after losing my hair to cancer and then having it grown in snow white with touches of gray I was curious about color-picking and found this in search.
The woman, the model, Beth - she has such charm, ease, and confidence without arrogance, truly lovely. She should be some kind of star for her grace and elan. Bravo, very helpful and...I think I'll subscribe, which is also super rare for me!

So great to find someone who has similar neutral skin, dark hazel eyes and bright silver hair, albeit many, many years younger! Seeing all those different colours on you has finally given me clarity on my own choices. All too often neutral skin is missing from most colour analysis and I now understand why it is that I could wear colours from both warm and cool wheels over the years. This is by far the best presentation I've found and I thank you for demonstrating it so well.

Thank you so much for this! My hair, eyes and skin are very similar to yours. It's interesting your brows are brown? I do mine grey but still have my brown benefit brow make up so may try. Agree with all you say here. One of my favourite dresses is mustard, such a shame I have tried wearing it since I transitioned from bottle blonde to natural silver. Just doesn't work 😒. Never been a fan of blue, but seeing you and another silver lady this week looking so lovely in this colour has changed my mind! I have been scrutinising my eye shadow also. What you're wearing, I concluded is the most flattering colourway. So glad you came up in my feed 😍. I've been very conscious of my choices in make up and clothing colours. Not checked your content out yet, but as a lifelong denim fan I find denim blues very flattering and would love to see you in denim 💙. If that's your thing of course, sorry if you have already done this as I have only just discovered you. Sending love from north west England x

    Really interesting video.
Think you look really good in the deep jewel colours rather than pale pastels. They really show off your silvers.
I also find that navy and charcoal are more flattering to my complexion than black as I get older.
Have to tell you, my hair had 15 months of grow out with my natural hair being bright silver/white and my ends being a horrible orangey brown. My hair was about the same length as yours, but my hairdresser came round on Friday and I decided I couldn't stand the dyed hair anymore so I got her to chop it all off into a stacked Bob, (shorter at the back and longer at the front) and I absolutely love it as I now only have a few tiny blonde brown tips at the front end of my hair which look like subtle highlights and the rest of my hair is my own God given natural beautiful silver/white hair. It's a little darker at the back but really bright at the front and I love it. I hadn't planned on losing it all this haircut thinking it might be my next couple of haircuts before I would get rid of all the dyed hair, but the more she cut it off the braver I became and them I couldn't wait to lose it all.
I feel so relieved to be rid of my horrible orangey brown dyed hair and am looking forward to letting it grow all being my own natural hair from now on. I am going home to Ireland on Tuesday for 2 weeks and I know I will probably get some shocked reactions to my transition but I don't care, I love it and that's all that matters. Despite being one of the younger ones of my friends, I'm the first one to become a silver sister so I know some of them won't like it, but maybe I'll convince some of them to go for it, who knows?
It's very freeing to know I'll never have to put chemicals on my head every 2 weeks ever again.
Now to sort out my clothing and decide which colours to wear. The 😁👍

I’m also a deep autumn and the colours that look best on you with your silver hair also look best on me with mine, so it was nice to see them on someone other than myself. Watching the video, I felt that the lighter colours - soft pink, light grey (even with the darker detailing) just wash you (and myself) out completely. The wine, olive, navy, black look much better as we fade into the background and almost disappear as a person in those light shades. I’ve been wearing a favourite light pink sweater but everytime I put it on I just fade away but ignore that and continue to wear it! I won’t anymore! I always get comments when I’m wearing burgundy, Olive green, black and red sweaters. ALWAYS! And looking at you in those colours too, I can see why. I have always loved wearing grey but now I just look so old and washed out in it - it’s just too much grey. Drab overload! Thanks for sharing, so interesting!

Hi Beth. I was very happy that your channel popped up. I’m 71 and allowed my very dark warm brown hair to finally grow out into my natural silver hair a year and a half ago. I became very unhappy with the gray because it just didn’t feel like me. So... I had it colored again to a very light warm brown. It doesn’t fit my complexion of a deep dark blue eyes and a complexion between creamy and not sure what anyone would call it. I’m half Syrian and the rest is Irish and Dutch. Quite a combination. Especially when it comes to makeup and lipstick. Eyebrows are still naturally dark. Petite with round face but now overweight. Small ears and I’m in a quandary now. Have started to look for help and options on TH-cam. I think it’s about time to do a total makeover of my entire body. Thank you 😊

Hi, Vicki! I’m so happy you’re here. Your ethnic blend sounds so interesting. I have an uncommon mix between my parents, too, and it’s made finding foundation especially difficult. Makeup has always been a challenge. Something about letting my gray hair grow out (totally neutral!) finally allowed me to see my coloring clearly. I’m planning to make more videos like this because I think a lot of us share this challenge.

You can try on before you buy and if necessary two close shades can be blended to get the best match .

The nice thing about silvery grey is that anything goes with it, so it is quite liberating! Complexion, as others have stated, is more of a consideration, but I would think more in general terms of certain shades that are more or less flattering rather than restriction to certain colors. Just my humble opinion. I love healthy silver hair on women, so much so, that when I was a teenager, I talked my mother, who starting going grey in her 20's, into letting it go grey in her early 40's. My father loved it, she loved it, and she always received compliments on it from others. She enjoyed the added freedom to wear any and every color she wanted.

    • @InfinitegardenbyBethK
      @InfinitegardenbyBethK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I totally agree that complexion trumps hair color for color selection-but a lot of us who previously dyed our hair had drastically different colors, color temperatures, color values, etc. For me, dying my hair a warm blonde or auburn drastically affected which colors looked right on me. This purely neutral silver color now lets the complexion shine, which makes it easier for me personally to see what flatters. At any rate, I recommend this exercise to anyone who wants more insight into which colors to wear.
And I love how supportive you were to your mom! These acts of kindness and encouragement have a significant impact on your loved ones. 🥰🥰🥰
