I thought you looked lovely with the rich burgundy. I have recently grown out my hair color and am dealing with the same thing. Your video was very helpful.
I was/am a qualified Colour Analyst. I am now retired I was a lecturer, teaching Colour Awareness throughout N.ireland. Your "season" doesn't change. From around five years old until end of life. You can still wear your "Autumn" colours. Your hair has greyed as an "Autumn" greys. The burgundy will still look good in Winter on you.The peach more suitable toward Summer.
Thank you. Perfect. I have a lot of burgundy still in my wardrobe. This one seemed to have a cool cast to it compared to my other burgundy’s. Maybe that’s not even possible 😀

I am 76 years of age so way over the 50, lol. I LOVE YOU AND ALL YOUR VIDEOS!! I have been watching many TH-cam things on older fashion and YOU are the best. everything you talk about is doable and affordable! I am so glad I found you. I recently moved to another town and had to find a new doctor. On my first visit I had two nurses tell me they could not believe I was 76 because I dress so nice not frumpy, and I have a little purple in my hair for fun and they loved it. I also try to stand straight and tall which helps with appearing younger. I love that you have embraced your natural hair color, and the tips on hiding a tummy bulge. I just love you and your videos. I am so glad to see you in your natural gray. I am turning gray (or grey, however you spell it) I am turning 50 next year and I LOVE my gray coming in. I genuinely love it. IDK if it's gray or silver but it's all streaky and cute. I adore gray hair. I also love your hair style! I know this video is old but had to post this LOL
I have white hair and had to go natural in my fifties. Camel and gray color next to my face makes me look like I am sick. I do wear a lot of black and navy, and have opted for simple brights during the summer. I think the burgundy looks striking on you. Sometimes strong contrast can be complementary. I have also eliminated impractical and uncomfortable. Thank you for the video!
OMG, I too have let my hair go grey. When I highlighted it I was a true Autumn, but as I've gotten older and gone more grey (about 40%), I'm a muted Summer. Colors that used to look great on me, no longer suit me. Your point about along the lines of "does the color enter the room before you do" is so on target. I used that thought to do yet another purge.
I so enjoy your practical/realistic take on fashion. You remind me to wear what suits me and what I am comfortable with. Thanks for that! Funny story: the other day I was wearing a nice warm turtleneck sweater that I love -- but it also has wide cuffs, which like your sweater with the wide cuffs can be impractical. To make a short story even shorter, I turned the tap on at the kitchen sink, didn't watch what I was doing, and sent a stream of cold water right up to my armpit! :D
First jumper. I bought one similar. Its in my restyle bag. I am going to shape and shorten the sleeves using overlocker. In fact that is what i am currently doing, going through clothes and restyling or cutting up to make patchwork blankets. Something my mother did.
I too have grown all my colours out and now have a beautiful shade of silver platinum grey with still some darks . it looks better than what I achieved with colours and procedures. Thank you God! I need to rethink my wardrobe and colours though.
I tend to purchase oversized clothing. Have done for years and my husband points it out on the occasion. Trying to overcome that tendency now. Great video as always!
in the computer you look really great in your old colors, instead you look a bit wore out with the coral( I think you should have soft orange if you are an autumn, and the mint take off all your colors) I think you should use a pale olive instead. The mint is to cold for you, light olive or not to strong limegreen would be great. We are all different in our palettes, and I think you know exactly what is good or not, and its important you like the colours. This is just my knowledge around colours, champagne hair is warm color and you need varm colors for your best look, I think you are awesome, and explain it very well, you look great too.
The maroon/wine colour was fantastic on you, more so than the coral colour top you have on which I think looks too old fashioned for you. Love your vids
I’m salt and pepper grey with winter colouring and suddenly black and white really pop. Rocking a red lip for the first time ever. Softer colours wash me out. I really enjoy your videos on updating looks and have incorporated those ideas into my leisure wardrobe.
These things are all so relevant to me right now. I'm 59 and I've recently retired from an office job so need different types of clothes now, I've also lost weight so have a lot of frumpy looking things in my closet, my coloring has lightened as well. This inspires me to go through my closet and do a little clearing out. I've made a list of these things in my phone to refer to as I edit my closet and future purchases. Sometimes you just can't put your finger on what's wrong with an item so this helps a great deal. Thanks
My two cents: If you are really a warm autumn, you should be wearing gold instead of silver, rust or cinnamon instead of burgundy, and orange instead of coral. Coral is a spring color, burgundy is winter, silver is cool, pinks are cool (summer/winter), black and white are cool (winter). The burgundy you held up is just too dark besides being cool. Brown, beige, and that muted aqua you called "mint" look dowdy. I'd recommend some violet blue and more blue tones like clear navy and turquoise. Blues and purples look great with gray hair and peachy skin tones.
All the Autunn pallets ive seen have burgundy and coral. Odd isn't it. I know i shouldn't wear white and try to get ivory instead. Black is such a darn useful color sadly. Yes i navigate to gold jewelry. Thank you. Im experimenting with purple as when i was brown it looked awful on me but now im grey its good. Having gone grey im more softer autumn apparently rather than warm.
The first sweater, gray, sparkly, bell sleeves is beautiful! I’d take the bell portion in and make it closer to your arm. If you don’t sew, maybe you can get it tailored.
I'm a cool soft winter or dark soft summer (can wear some from each category!) I was originally dark brown hair & now dark brown with silver grey (think of Jamie Lee Curtis! - even the short hair cut!) So that burgundy is sooooo right up my alley! Even more so since I'm now 62 !
It is so subjective. When i was a proper autumn (analysed 3 times) some people told me the wrong colours were good. I think its more in the eye of the beholder maybe.
I'm 52 and have been salt-pepper gray since 49. Although my front is whiter now. I'm a clear to deep winter, jewel tones. I found that cream, beige, tan, brown and gold no longer suited me. Crisp white, gray, navy blue complement my colouring now. I'm still enjoying wearing my jewel tones especially in winter.
I have decided to keep the white dress. It is a colour on trend this year and it has a feminine vibe. I can try it with belts to give it a more mature look. Also my colouring may be moving to spring rather than still autumn as I said here.
That dress is so pretty. I really can’t wear short sleeves now. I should have amazing arms given how much yoga and gardening I do, but sadly haven’t. Just permanently achy shoulders 🙁
I recently went through my closet and took out my too big frumpy cardigans and donated them! I have to agree with you about burgundy colors. That was my favorite color for years. Lately when I put on a burgundy top I thought it didn't look that great! Love your videos!
You could wear the dress with a lightweight jean jacket in one of your better colours or with a gauzy kimono that has some of your colours painted on it. Both would cover your arms and bring your colours near your face.🙂
I'm a champagne grey as well, but my skin has cool undertones. I try to focus on contrast. Since I'm a light contrast, I avoid high contrast prints or outfits. I can wear the darker colors in my palette as long as I stick to lower contrast in my outfit, but I avoid wearing black.
Thanks for that lesson in colour -- to hold an item up against you and see if it blends in with your colouring -- somehow I missed that before in trying to guess my colours.
I very much enjoyed your video! I am also an autumn and i also let my silver hair grow out three years ago and i love it. But i have also noticed that the darker burgundy and dark browns aren’t as good as they used to be. Thank you for the tips on the peach, mint and beige. I agree that the softer colors are more flattering.
I agree with you that the burgundy looked too stark and you see the color before you see you. I have a t-shirt that is similar to that color and I have a mint colored one, I think I will get rid of the darker one and keep the mint one.
Hallo dear, I am new on your channel and find it very helpful to see what you mean. For me wild pattern and also tiny flower pattern make every mature woman look older. And I agree, that the dark colours, especially burgundy does not do anything for you. And the colour Apricot is a no no as well. In my opinion it is a grandmother - colour. You are cool toned for me. Stay healthy and have fun! 👍
Thank you. A few think I'm cool. My eyes are hazel and hair used to be brown red and i was told many times i was autunn by colour consultants. I don't think skin tone changes which keeps me warm but softer now.
I used to be a Winter with my dark brown hair and fair skin. Jewel tones were best for me. My hair is now almost snow white, skin is still fair, and I am now a summer/spring. I used to look terrific in true red. Not so much now. I was surprised that I look good in some of the colors my mother (a Spring) used to wear well. Getting rid of anything too big also. I enjoy your channel very much.
I really enjoyed your explanation of colour. I’ve often thought of you can see the colour before the person it’s not right. My colouring was soft warm autumn and I’m curious to see how it changes now it’s grey (more gun metal grey). Thank you!
I agree with your new colours.iI discovered this after lockdowns and wanted to wear brighter clothes.after one summer in my new clothes anything black or dark looks hideous against my hair and skin tones.
Ooooo I like the way you think! Get rid of the big bell sleeves! Yep! Out with the cutesy outfits! And in my case, out with the bikinis at 52!!! Really when you hit your 30s, a career, family, time to cut out the all over flowers, but you can still wear a bright blouse under a linen suit. I've always kept to styles that stay long term, but had a major haulout of clothes that, while they still fit, just didnt "fly" on me anymore! Things I had in my 20s and 30s, and I was in my early 50s!!!!! Out they went, nice stuff I'm sure it's being worn happily! Other items in my closet I was able to update with a modern top that I picked up on Etsy. Dont laugh, but one of my favorite items are silk Tommy Bahama mens hawaiian shirts! I can wear it as a jacket, and over wide pants, something I can pull off the rest of my life!
@@Myover50fashionlife Any woman married to a man with Tommy Bahama silk Hawaiian shirts in his closet, has hit the jackpot!!!!! Now your guy may have a favorite, so, leave that one be. Other great brands: Tori Richards, Paradise found, Jamaica Jaxx, Luau, Reyn Spooner. I can pull off that look right into my 80's!😀 Ps, I do have oxford shirts, a couple from LLBEAN. Usually they are part of the look I'm about to disturb. If its disturbable, I'm going to mess that up, somehow. My dream job was to be a buyer for a department store. I love to dress the world!
Interesting video. I think the first two dark reddish brown and brown sweater (jumpers) colors still look the best. I saw your face first before I saw the dark colors. The coral orangish red you showed, I thought over powered you. Could be the lighting. Some of the lighter colors I thought were not the best but again, on camera things are different than in person.
When you said you were an Autumn, I nearly fell off the couch. As soon as I started watching this video, I thought, "oh, another Summer, like myself". You have such a rosey complexion. No wonder you feel overwhelmed by deep Autumn colors! Another youtuber, Christine Ressel, does a fashion channel and does color analysis now. What she said and what learned years ago, is that your season will not change due to age and change of hair coloring.
Yes definitely I’m autumn but softer. You can see in this video my previous natural red brown hair. My eyes are hazel and skin warm. I had my colours done 3 times in my 20s and 30s. CMB I was warm autumn, HOC also autumn and one other said soft autumn or muddy autumn. So those colours used to work for me. Now clearly they don’t as migrated to softer lighter autumn .
I'm with you on the having to lighten up the colors in my wardrobe. I'm gray, it is blending with my dark ash blonde so it's not really a stark difference from my natural color. But it has lightened up my true summer coloring to the point I can't wear the darker summer colors anymore. I have been switching to lighter shades of my favorite blues, blue greens, and purples as I replace clothes. I'm not ready to give up my navy blue though....
Interesting. I like the colour you are wearing in the video on you. I’m a soft/muted colouring too. I haven’t allowed my hair to go grey, it’s light to mid tone. I need to have a massive wardrobe sort out, I will look with a new eye, but really find it hard to see .
‘Haven’t allowed my hair to go grey’ -! you make it sound like the stubborn child that it is! Takes me back to the time and money spent on root maintenance before I embraced my grey. I love it as much as I love my friend’s salon enhanced brunette locks.
@@Gnv-q2m I think grey hair looks amazing on some people but I don’t think my colour of grey would suit me. From the glimpses of seen of it. I’m going to carry on being a stubborn child! 🤣
Trish, you are not the stubborn child - the roots are! I have very dark hair and I hated how the silver would creep up and ambush me. I made the decision to ‘go grey’ before the pandemic. I was worried about the dreaded demarcation line and then I contracted severe Covid and spent 8 months in hospital. (Vaccines were not yet available.) My hair was chopped off in ICU and Voila - salt and pepper! I’m not as grey as I thought I would be. I just have a broader strip of grey where I part my hair and this was showing up in the regrowth. It blends into the rest of the hair beautifully now. One of my best friends who is my age - 58, maintains her dark hair and I love how it looks on her. Our hair is so much part of our identity. As my son said when I told the family I was going to embrace the grey, “your body, your choice’’.
@@Gnv-q2m oh that’s so interesting. You poor thing, what a time you had! My mother had lovely white hair but hated it. If I thought mine would be that colour I might embrace it, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be. It’s still dark at the back and really grey in front. My actual hair texture is the stubborn child! It does what it wants and not what I want 😂. Glad you recovered from your ordeal.
Thanks Trish. I am still oxygen dependent and recently had chest surgery But I am alive and living the life I have joyfully. One of my projects during rehab was reorganising my closet which is how I found this community and it’s been a lot of fun and a great distraction. Clearly my lifestyle has changed. I still work 2 days a week on Zoom but I needed a new leisure wardrobe. I had also lost a lot of weight. My hair was always dead straight and now I’m dealing with crazy curls at the nape of my neck??? Is this menopause, Covid, going grey??? It’s great to have TH-camrs and communities of a certain age to provide inspiration.
I say exactly that here actually th-cam.com/video/ta6dAqaS8O4/w-d-xo.html and even show this outfit on the cover. Funny we came to the same conclusion. Great minds huh 😀
I'm a Spring with brown hair who is getting a few gray hairs. Since I don't know how long it'll take before I get a lot more gray, I've started changing the colors I buy. For example, I bought some cashmere sweaters on sale this year, and I bought light camel, blues, and a medium-light warm pink, working at the lighter and more neutral end of my spectrum. I wouldn't normally have opted for the light camel; I love richer brown shades, but those aren't going to be very flattering once my hair goes gray. I'm trying to think of ways that I can work with my brown shades then. Maybe scarves to pull the colors of the clothes and hair together? Jewelry? Like silver with mahogany jasper or tiger eye? I make jewelry, so any combination is possible to make. I know it might be a bit early to plan, but I keep my clothes for 10 years or more sometimes, so I want to be prepared.
The jumper looked great on you. You are completely right only to buy comfortable pieces. I think the white dress looked good on you too. I liked the pattern on the poncho too on you 🤷♀️. I wouldn’t wear black with white polka dots, this is too strong. I saw the print and colour before seeing you. I think you could be summer type, means cold, but soft colours, no black, instead navy blue. You are a very beautiful lady 👍
I liked some of the darker ones still.. i think the your dark eyes you can wear some of deeper autumn but maybe softend a little bit more smokey than before.
Sensible clothing tips, I agree if it is not comfortable give it away someone else may fit it. Realize that over time styles that look good on you change as you do. Don't hang to things that aren't working for you.
Thank you. Yes I have been experimenting with purple shades. When my hair was it’s natural reddy brown before going grey , purple didn’t work at all. Now I’m enjoying exploring this new colour. I have a few peach items. Well one when I think about it. I need to get more. Thank you
Audery Coyne just did a TH-cam video on "Contrast" and how that works with your color. High, medium and low contrast and what may look better on you depending on the contrast. I am 67 years old and I have kept my medium brown hair color, I have light or fair skin color, but my skin color has changed, not sure what is going on. Last week I did a Baliage treatment on my hair that made it lighter on the bottom and darker around my face. I still wear many of the things I use to wear, but I don't think black looks as good on me anymore. I agree with those wide sleeves (which I also have), what was I thinking, so dangerous over an open flame or a plate of pasta. LOL. I had to laugh at this video, because I have many of the pieces you have. I have that sparkly grey sweater, the brownish/maroonish scarf with gold spots, a dark brown sweater, a girly white sun dress, some of my deceased mothers tops that are too big for me, a sweater where the arms are too tight, a maroon top and a plaid poncho type thing that is in my "Donate" pile. Thank you for this push to rid myself of the things that are just taking up space in my closet and that I will never wear outside the house again. ;-)
Very nice video, thank you! I also was an "autumn" when young, now my hair is almost the same as yours. I found the warm jewel tones I used to love just don't look right any more, and I see now that it is too much contrast between them and Me! I used to avoid any lighter or cooler shades but now I love blues and even (coral) pinks. And I 100% agree about practicality and comfort - if shoes or clothes are not INSTANTLY comfortable I will not buy them. May I say one more thing about getting rid of things- I have been appalled at the amount of extra clothes and shoes I had. After I retired I have been working hard to simplify my life and clear things out so my kids will not have to deal with it. But I had more than 60 pairs of pants alone! It may be worse in the US, and I know it is worse for people in my generation, but honestly what was I thinking. Thank you for doing these videos.
I think the reason we have so much clothes is time seems different to when we were on our 20s. Then i donated items after 2 years. Now that relative time of 2 years is much longer as I see 7 years ago as a recent purchase. So we accumulate more. We aren't necessarily buying more
Hi there, I've had the same issue. I used to be either a Bright Spring or a true Autumn. I'm 64 and now have very pale skin (grayish-peach) medium to light golden-red brown hair gone white in the front, taupe in the bulk of it with medium golden brown streaks in the back. Hazel green eyes. I still gravitate toward the olive tones, and I think camel is okay, but rust & bright gold is too much. But I really love saturated colors and black, but charcoal grey probably looks better. Ivory looks great on me now. I was thinking that the burgundy you rejected was still present in the print top you were wearing, so wearing a burgundy column might not be flattering anymore, if you put a scarf or blouse on to break it up, you wouldn't need to purge all of it from the wardrobe...
light colors cross the chest and shoulders reflect light upward onto your face, then a hat which blocks light from above will help make wrinkles be less noticeable. Overhead lighting is VERY unflattering as we age.
I've recently let my hair go natural grey. I used to have reddish brown hair. I used to wear a lot of fall colors. Now I need lighter colors. More pastels. Even my makeup has changed.
I just started watching your videos and subscribed because of your down to earth explanations and interesting take on dressing for our mature selves. I thought your example of the plaid outerwear (senior moment - can’t think of the correct word😩) overpowering you was great. I do not look good in something like that either so I could really relate to that. I look forward to more videos from you. !
I really like the natural colour of your hair, and not just because it's the same as mine. :) I have ranged from chestnut through to blonde but assume I was a kind of mousy brown naturally. Over lock down I had my hair cut really short to get the 'yellow' out and am so pleased I did. I'll be glad when it's long enough to put up again though.
Oh my goodness I loved you in that cape! The burgundy also looks good I think because it brightened your face, but also loved the coral. Sorry you didn’t agree but it’s YOUR opinion they matters.
It was a cold burgundy. I have quite a bit of burgundy still in my wardrobe bit its warmer. I think it may not come across via video so well. The colours in the cape are perfect but the pattern is too big I feel.
Great video. I’m 60 in a few weeks. CMB got me down as soft Autumn 30 years ago. 10 years ago I was rerated by HOC as rich leaf autumn and told to lose my blonde highlights. Which is a never, nope, no no. I feel at 60 that some rich colours aka Mustard, red, brown make me look washed out and finding myself once again gravitating towards my CMB softer lighter colours.
love this. my hair is exactly the same color as yours. where we differ is i am a cool skin tone. no idea what that means in terms of color analysis, i also have lt eye color. i am also 8 inches taller than you...lol. so i might be able to get away with a bit more. i love your advice about seeing the color before you can see the person. and to throw something else into the mix...lol...i have wigs. lots and lots. some red some blonde some grey. guess what...i can get away with wearing some of those colors as a blonde or redhead and not as a grey goddess. and vice versa. you have such great advice. ps...i love that shawl. love.
Though I agree with most of what you are saying , I think the burgundy/ wine-red colour really suits you . I would say it gives a stronger image than for example the coraly colour you showed. But it might be different in real life ( as opposed to 'on screen').

So funny, but not 🤣🤣
That made me smile.
I love that sparkly wider sleeved jumper. Yes, I'm 62.☺
This is just my knowledge around colours, champagne hair is warm color and you need varm colors for your best look,
I think you are awesome, and explain it very well, you look great too.
Thank you so much
I’m “getting what you mean”. 😄 The softer lighter colors are very complimentary to your skin and softer/lighter hair. Very nice.
The maroon/wine colour was fantastic on you, more so than the coral colour top you have on which I think looks too old fashioned for you. Love your vids
Thank you. It was an old work blouse. At the time of recording the style was current as a result of the Bridgeton effect. It is one now donated.
@@Myover50fashionlife 👍😁😘
White dress is lovely. Keep it.
Thank you. Yes i have. It may be useful this summer with a belt and its going to be a fashionable colour. Ill try to make it work this year.
I’m salt and pepper grey with winter colouring and suddenly black and white really pop. Rocking a red lip for the first time ever. Softer colours wash me out. I really enjoy your videos on updating looks and have incorporated those ideas into my leisure wardrobe.
Thank you.
Thanks
You're spot on with your colours!
Luv how you show images of yourself as examples.
Jen Thoden is excellent explaining colour analysis. Her videos on contrast a awesome to particularly if you are transitioning to grey/white.
I think i linked her video as that is who i watched, i think. It was a Jen 😀
You explained the SOFT - LIGHT thing very well! Now I get it!
So beautiful your hair color Congrats 🎊🎈🎉
The white dress is awesome on you! You look amazing in that one!
That burgundy looked beautiful, the coral washed you out and the beige really made you look poorly, the mint though was perfect !!!!!!❤
The "mint" color was BEAUTIFUL on you.
Thank you.
Thank you for all the help to make us look better. You are right.
Mint looks nice
Thank you
The first sweater, gray, sparkly, bell sleeves is beautiful! I’d take the bell portion in and make it closer to your arm. If you don’t sew, maybe you can get it tailored.
Love the cowl neck (?) jumper with the two tight sleeves. If you love everything but the sleeves, get rid of them! Wear under a light jacket.
As I’m now soft autumn I’m finding I can wear spring too. It’s exciting isn’t it. Wearing different colos now we are grey.
Love your videos, so on point, keep up the great work.
Thank you so much
The darker colours work better than you think. 😊
I think the white dress looks very nice on you. In my opinion it is more of a classic piece.
If you really don't like the white color maybe you could dye it?
Yes I’m keeping the white dress and going to try to make it work this summer being a trending colour.
Trish, my arms are awful too despite doing weights, Pilates and strength training. I have flab hanging down .
I recently went through my closet and took out my too big frumpy cardigans and donated them! I have to agree with you about burgundy colors. That was my favorite color for years. Lately when I put on a burgundy top I thought it didn't look that great!
Love your videos!
Thank you so much
Great ideas,about the colors.thank you
Bravo👏👏👏👏. You are spot on!!
You could wear the dress with a lightweight jean jacket in one of your better colours or with a gauzy kimono that has some of your colours painted on it. Both would cover your arms and bring your colours near your face.🙂
Yes, great idea. I am keeping it to try this summer
I think the maroon looks good on you and isn't overwhelming, but I do agree with the rest.
Thank you. I have some other burgundy items. This one seemed too dark on me now.
Wear anything you want. Do your hair the way you like it. Don’t let other people decide what’s attractive on you.
Thanks I enjoyed this info.
You make perfect sense, I really need to do the same...Big Hugs.Bella xxxx 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you my dear
I agree with you that the burgundy looked too stark and you see the color before you see you. I have a t-shirt that is similar to that color and I have a mint colored one, I think I will get rid of the darker one and keep the mint one.
I loved the soft green you showed . I wonder if a soft purple-pink in the same tone ….or a soft indigo blue would be similar ?
The coral is beautiful on you💕
Thank you
Hallo dear, I am new on your channel and find it very helpful to see what you mean.
Thank you.
Your hair is gorgeous, as are you!
I agree 100% with large patterns at 5ft 2
I'm not laughing. Its like my oversized shirts. So useful. Mine aren't Hawaian though. Just white or striped.
I can pull off that look right into my 80's!😀
Ps, I do have oxford shirts, a couple from LLBEAN. Usually they are part of the look I'm about to disturb. If its disturbable, I'm going to mess that up, somehow.
My dream job was to be a buyer for a department store. I love to dress the world!
@@wandah9468 you should have a TH-cam or Instagram and dress the world. 😀
@@Myover50fashionlife it would be great to see a sustainable fashion shop in my town. I'd go work part time for somebody like that!
Interesting video. I think the first two dark reddish brown and brown sweater (jumpers) colors still look the best. I saw your face first before I saw the dark colors. The coral orangish red you showed, I thought over powered you. Could be the lighting. Some of the lighter colors I thought were not the best but again, on camera things are different than in person.
yes the salmon is now out since having been re-avaluated since this video and the brown and burgundy are back in. Well spotted.
Oh yessssss sleeves can be tight on some jumpers cut sleeves down if fits
The brown still looks pretty.
Thank you. Navy is still coming up in my new pallet so may still be in yours
I’ve been adding a softer scarf with my navy seems to work so far.
So agree,me too
Mint blue was gorgeous on u.
Really interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great tips. My eldest daughter is forever at me with my wardrobe, everything is, ‘What on earth are you wearing mum’!! I say no more 😜
Like the check scarfs.deffo pin them acrossike throwing across one shoulder loosely
Love your videos! 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you
Interesting.
Contrast is important also. The tan sort of merges with your own coloring.
I say exactly that here actually th-cam.com/video/ta6dAqaS8O4/w-d-xo.html and even show this outfit on the cover. Funny we came to the same conclusion. Great minds huh 😀
I also have let my grey grow out (and i love it) but I used to wear auburn colors now I like pinks and blues (pastels). I get so many compliments.
I’ve just ordered a dress that has lemon close to my face. A colour I wouldn’t have considered before. I hope it works.
Hi, take a look at my videos on colour analysis. You might find that interesting.
Thank you
Mint did look great on you, but I also liked the bold print wrap.
Now I know why I like Red but it doesn't like me....
Thanks
Sensible clothing tips, I agree if it is not comfortable give it away someone else may fit it. Realize that over time styles that look good on you change as you do. Don't hang to things that aren't working for you.
I like your old colors. The lighter one reads old
Wine volor actually gives you a brighter look.
Mauve and peach also would be a pretty color for you
Thank you. Yes I have been experimenting with purple shades. When my hair was it’s natural reddy brown before going grey , purple didn’t work at all. Now I’m enjoying exploring this new colour. I have a few peach items. Well one when I think about it. I need to get more. Thank you
I think the burgundy looks great on you
Audery Coyne just did a TH-cam video on "Contrast" and how that works with your color. Thank you for this push to rid myself of the things that are just taking up space in my closet and that I will never wear outside the house again. ;-)
Yes I've looked at that today. Interesting to do black and white pic. My eyes come out dark so looks like high contrast
Love burgundy jumper suits you love check scarf large one you could pin it across like modern shawl
Good advice
light colors cross the chest and shoulders reflect light upward onto your face, then a hat which blocks light from above will help make wrinkles be less noticeable. Overhead lighting is VERY unflattering as we age.
I've found sincd I've let hair grow out and embrace the grey different colours now suit me too. Also think your skin tone changes as you age
I'm glad you found this interesting. Thank you for watching
@My Over 50 Fashion Life it's actually refreshing to find a UK based older lady doing inspiration videos rather than just constant haul ones 😀
!
Thank you so much. Next Saturday will be really down to earth. Im sitting on the floor.😀. I put videos out Saturday afternoon UK 🇬🇧 time
I really like the natural colour of your hair, and not just because it's the same as mine. :)
I have ranged from chestnut through to blonde but assume I was a kind of mousy brown naturally. Over lock down I had my hair cut really short to get the 'yellow' out and am so pleased I did. I'll be glad when it's long enough to put up again though.
Thank you. I grew my colour out during lockdown one. It seemed a handy time to do it. Less noticeable
To short for long sweaters, or coat.
Lighter shades you wear well.👍
Oh my goodness I loved you in that cape!
Yes i think it was a bit too blue. I have other warmer burgundy i kept. Others have said it suited me so you aren't alone in that view.
