I've got to be honest here when you first got this car and started doing bits i wasn't impressed (being a golf r owner i suppose your supposed to hate the 140) but i actually love the look now mate im really impressed with it .. but please ffs delete the rear wiper!!!!

@Chris I guess I'm not a true car enthusiast having only owned around 40 cars, currently owning 3, attending loads of cars shows, reading about cars in mags and online for the last 25 years, attending loads of car meets, doing 30 track days and visiting the Nürburgring 3 times. You think deleting a rear wiper is what makes you a true car enthusiast? 🤣😂🤣
ROBSYKES99 the rear end of these gets so dirty when it’s wet and shitty. I use the rear wiper on mine loads. Looks bobbins but it’s properly useful.
That steering wheel is mint😍 would leave the other little carbon bits off, the fact they don’t match the weave of the other carbon would do my head in, plus I don’t think it actually needs it in first place

Really like the new grills !! Steering wheel is nice, following your experiments with interest.
Here’s a genuine tip, A removed air bag should only ever be placed with the bag/badge facing UPWARDS, if the bag was to go off for any reason with the bag facing down it would take off and could go through a window or worse, kill someone. 🤔

Love the mods, especially the wheel!. I picked up my M140i on Monday and now want to do a few 'reversible' mods. Your M140i journey is one of the reasons I ended up buying one. Bit different to my 530d M Sport Touring, but what a weapon! Motech stance is on the wish list. Reliving my youth!

At one point with the stripes on the car I wasn't sure about the look mate, but now.... wow, epic. Some really tasteful mods going on, love the mirrors, the new slatted grille really works. I would leave the cheaper carbon bits off the wheel IMO if it was mine as they just don't look on the same level as the rest of the carbon on the wheel. Finally, dude... I think blacked out 'BMW' badges front and rear will really finish off the aggressive exterior look. Congrats though, this car is really looking the part. I prefer it to your Golf R and I've had a fast Golf before, but always adored the M-lites. Looking forward to the next mods...
Nice. Red starter button and red m1 m2 bottons would be cool as well.
I Just picked Up an 120d, thinking about doin' some of these mods. What would be useful? Astetical as well as performance wise. Does someone have any recommendations? Or is it ridicolous to mod a BMW 120d ?

Luke.. After having just fitted that M140i M style grill to my own car.... You should definitely do some car modifications yourself. It will be GREAT content.. For us..
You need to wrap the bars behind the grills it’s easy to do, a nice blue to match the body.
Where did you get the black eyelid things ?
My alcantara wheel from Royal is my favourite mode to my car. I ent with blue stitching to match the blue stitching of my seats. The paddles from M cars are a direct replacement and feel loads better than the crappy stubby, fat stock ones.
That wheel looks awesome and I really like the new grilles, are you gonna rap that blue stripe above the glove box?

Looks like you went for the "thicker" option from Royal Steering Wheels. As standard its much thinner. I have the genuine M Performance wheel and it looks a lot thinner.
Do the mirrors still fold in?

Nice Extra mods, makes me really miss my M135i.
But one thing you need to sort is them bloody number plate holes in the front bumper, drives me made every time i see them lol

The steering wheel looks great if it was me .I would go with a light up steering wheel a M sport steering wheel why ....??.That's the first interior upgrade I would do 😅 if I had a bmw I just like it

Carbon insert is nice but rough non gloss carbon is much better
Given that you had the steering wheel off im at a bit of a loss as to why you didn't change the paddle shifters when I'm guessing eventually you will change them to more aggressive looking ones
Didn’t feel like changing them yet. Will probably do them in the future

love the spec, but I actually think the headlights eyebrows in black look a bit weird..
That's a really stunning M140i. Only thing I would change is the infotainment screen. Definitely one of my dream cars! Keep up the content :)

Leave them other 'carbon' parts off the wheel. They look cheap and the weave looks wrong. For the crash bars they'd look good painted the same colour as the car. I've done them on my F56 Mini

I dont get the hype about these cars. The only good thing about them is the engine. The rest of it is very average. I guess people are buying them because they stack up on finance. Far better hot hatches in its class, plus these have been done to dealth by youtubers!!
