Hey everyone, I hope you all enjoy this video! The first try didn’t work out as well as I planned but that’s ok. There’s a few things I should have done differently but I’ll save that for a different video. Overall though I’m quite happy with how the bigger one turned out. If there’s something you’d like to see me do, let me know. See you all in the next one and have a great weekend! 👋🏻
Great video! The vacuum chamber is awesome! I haven't seen that done before. If you ever get bigstackd talked into a weekend in Vegas let me know! I don't live there anymore but I grew up there. Anyways great job on all of your content. You're a new age Tinkerer and we all learn so much from you.
Thank you 🙏 One of these days I’ll get him here. First he needs to stop making 890,927 hour long videos so he can get ahead 🤣 We joke about that all the time.
@@ArtByAdrock I'm sure it's not easy for either of you. But I sure do enjoy your content and one day hope to transition from selling toys to casting and maybe playing with 3d printers haha. But anyways take care and love what you do!
@ArtByAdrock I just found you, I've been watching bigstacked for years. I definitely enjoy his long videos, allows me to play games or design w.e I'm doing with a nice long video lol. Seems you do a bit more that I am very interested in
As always- fun video- looks good from here- one point to consider- with your layer lines- get a UV flashlight and a jar of UV curing resin from elegoo- Post process your 3d print by simply Panting a layer of UV resin on your master and cure it with the UV light- fills in the voids and eliminates a large reason for your surface bubbles/voids- smoother finish and you can sand back if needed. Get a dark resin to contrast your white print so you can see the areas you filled. Looking good! Keep it up
Awesome work. The casting medium can pick up incredibly small features. In Jewellry circles at least, they get the finished wax piece up to as good a polich as you can. After casting the finished pieces only have to go in a tumbler for a while to comeout looking good/polished. Or close to it at least.
If you know the band The Mars Volta, this head reminds me of one of their album covers 😀 Awesome job polishing it up, it's great there was no porosity issue.
that turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! WOW!!! Maybe you could do some 'famous' or 'recognizable' heads around the same size and have a bit of a collection... maybe Batman, the Terminator (where half his skin came off and you can see the metal skull and red eye... and you could glue a bright red garnet for the eye), Deadpool, and Ironman all come straight to mind.... but I know you would come up with some better heads than my obvious ones.... but MAYBE you need to build a little more shelf space LOL ... your collection is gettin a bit big for that shelving LOL (thats a GOOD thing) :)
Beautiful work! Just getting into bronze casting and the larger bust turned out flawless imo. Do you think it would be possible to make an animal in a cage in 1 cast?
Nice, I'm thinking of casting my lost wax cast of the naked twi'lek from Star Wars someday using the 3D resin print of the twi'lek as a negative mold for the silicone positive mold for casting wax for the investment mold
I like the stopgap of the acrylic lid till you managed to get a steel plate made to fit. Was a pain making mine, had to use drill to cut out the rough shape then grind it out with the anglel grinder and a bunch of burrs loll Reminds me I need to go at it with the burrs again, as when casting bronze the steel flask swells so much it's not an easy fit into the rather tight fitting hole i made. Next one I make, I'm paying the extra for a plasma cut steel round with the right sized hole in it from start.
It was so shiny it looked like there was a parting line 🤩😎👏🤣 please do a action figure!!! I've been working on a couple but am having trouble doing the whole lost wax molds. (Cutting the silicone 😵💫) ...and sand can be tricky .... especially in the "crevices "...
@@ArtByAdrock silicone - yeah I agree ! (Will do that next time) it worked ok the first few times but the wax I was at first to brittle and arms and legs kept breaking ...then I tried using a wax injector (first time using one)with a different wax and when my girlfriend and I tried to remove it the hands came out at a bad angle I guess and tore the mold...😵💫🙄 It's a shame because on the first attempts we had bubble issues but practically invincible parting lines .... Otherwise I've done a few small sand casts with varying results (venting the hands and feet can be tricky in my small flask) but I do now have a tiny copper Ninja Turtle that lives in my pocket ;) 🤙 and one in homemade tin bronze that I still need to clean up

Really great video. Thank you for sharing the process and even the thin prints that were too thin. Your final head is splendid, absolutely BRILLIANT.
Parabéns ! Bonito Trabalho.
Little nice job. 😊
Watching this makes me want to try it out SO badly!
Magnificent bust. One of your best pours to date... your technique has certainly improved. This bust could certainly be regarded as artistic
Very cool 😎
Wow looks great sir. Nice details in it.
Looks great! Nice job!
Thank you
Verry nicely done.
Thank you 🙏
woooow that whas an great job and melting ;)
Absolutely great your vids are top notch
Awesome job 👍
Great pour!!!

You did a great job Adam:)
Thank you
Great work dude !
Looks great!
haha that turned out to be pretty cool!
Looks like Imhotep from Brendan Frasier's Mummy. Nice Job!

crazy sick
Nice one.

That’s funny you said that. My brother said the exact same thing 🤣
That would make a great shifter nob for a car
Was it weird looking at and polishing your own head??? Love the video!

Thanks. I think so, you might need to add some additional sprues though depending on how the animal is in the cage.
Where did you acquire your chess piece molds?

Nice
Nice job, how is it the bronze does not oxidize?
Talk about a chrome dome!
❤great thanks
nice but would like to see a life size pleas
Who would you suggest to get custom silver and gold bars made?

now do a life-size version!
I like your investment furnace thing. Whats that called? do they come in a larger size?
It’s a kiln. They come in all sorts of sizes 👍🏻
@@ArtByAdrock Ive never seen a vacuum version. Ive just used tar paper and chicken wire for my investments. what brand is yours?
Make a full sized head
Adam the "Man of Bronze"
did you do any burnout cycles to the plaster mold? or you poured the metal just after all the wax was gone?
So cool! Reminds me of Tom Morrow from Innoventions. Did you ever go there in Disneyland?

Can't wait to see what's next!! and those chess pieces look great from the pours 🧐🤔👍 as always Melt Happy & Pour Safe my friend !!!🤘😎🤙
How are you making the mold? If you do it in 2 parts, you shouldn’t have to cut the silicone
@@ArtByAdrock silicone - yeah I agree ! You should have well made a full mini 3d statue of yourself instead of just your head, great job though, looks fantastic 👍🏻
I need to reprint it first as I broke the arms off removing the support. Oops 🤦🏻♂️
You live and you learn 🤣 great job with the head though, it turned out looking awesome 👍🏻
What tool did you use to polish it? Also that looks more like brass than bronze
Stay safe.
Is that massive/solid, I mean not hollow? Quite a risk, knowing how bronze shrinks! Good for you, man!
I like the idea of doing a full chess set. The 2 sets of pieces being in bronze, brass, copper or aluminium.
That’s the plan, it’s slowly been a work in progress. All the molds are almost finished though at least.
I agree, I would love to make a chess set myself. Not a lot of options for molds out there but I’m Bob start saving my money.
Looks more like brass....
I'm early!
Its my experience..., that everybody wants, or needs a little head. Just a thought.
Hello, why do those craters appear at the bottom of the head?
Dig it.
❤🎉
That is aluminum bronze right? 89% copper and 11% aluminum? Great job!
بسیار عالی بود
Forbidden pancake batter
How did you get the 3D print of your bust?
I make everything myself. I have videos that show all that 👍🏻
@@ArtByAdrock do you use a 2D to 3D program
@docvencil2222 no, for this I used my my 3D scanner and then refined it in blender.
I was expecting a life size one.... NECK PRoJeCT!!!
Hood ornament.
Or gear shift knob.
Iron man ripoff:
Btw (Amazing job!)
Hey there, Adrock. ARE YOU AWESOME OR WHAT?
Can you send me the link of Your Kiln Oven?
I want to see that chess set
Like for the chess👍
Dude, this is brass, not bronze
