You got one thing wrong, the mace was not a strength training tool, the mace is a weapon, this movement is conditioning yourself for the motion needed to loop the mace around behind your back to gain momentum and speed, continue the movement by keeping the elbow on the arm of the lower hand straight and pulling the weight forward and around like swinging a baseball bat and power through it driving through the hips and imagine you are swinging at the head or chest of an enemy soldier thats charging at you... the "strength training" versions of it were just slightly less deadly wooden versions that allowed a man to train with his weapon without continuously beating up his actual weapon, because metal fatigue is real and if you have an iron handled iron headed mace that you beat against a tree or whatever enough times it will eventually break but but that same amount of impacts would take many battles over many years and likely multiple generations. So they used training maces that were way cheaper while training and conditioning for battle that way they werent needlessly destroying their expensive weapons

      @@milfbangerbhabhilover9771 Mate, let's break this down ...
A lightsaber is a hand held weapon with a relatively short handle and a long striking end, similar to a sword.
This was a technique used to practice the and perfect the bio-mechanics of moving a sword around one's torso from above the head to either parry (bloke) or strike an opponent.
"maybe it can be used as a light saber too", yes... as most of the techniques and tactics for lightsaber fighting are based on real world sword fighting techniques, just look at Count Dooku's Form 2/Makashi techniques and how they match to European rapier and sabre techniques.
or look to Anakin's Form 5/Djem So style, fighting with 2 hands on the handle and a very parry and repost focused combat style that's highly reminiscent of the famed Paduan master Salvator.
So yeah, it absolutely could be used like this ... just look at how Obi-Wan constantly parried Anakin's attacks in The Duel of Fates!

this exercise also has "historical records" of messing up the balance of your shoulder. this exercise focus solely on lats and pecs muscles which are primarily responsible for internal rotation of shoulder while ignoring external rotator muscles of shoulders. this creates muscle imbalance in your shoulder joint making it prone to injury.
for real life example, look at dangal wrestlers of india. their whole shoulders are painfully internally rotated. unfortunately most players often suffer from some shoulder injury and have to retire from the sport at young age.

Just as a note, these are valuable teaching instructions. I would add transverse turns of the thoracic spine though. The chest moves open to the swinging side and as the gada swings, the chest closes to the opposite side. This allows a smooth swing instead of a jerky swing.

They only had the pseudoscience of aurved/homeopathy that can't do anything & they got lucky they never got hit by any plagues or mass pandemics during midevil times like europe and their math never evolved beyond complex algebra until modern mathematics, globalisation and industrialisation of world led to trade in knowledge worldwide.
