      Fringe is intimidating and believe it or not, it took me several tries to film it how I wanted to. I may update this video at different angles or on different projects to help round out this particular stitch. In the mean time, so glad it was helpful :D

    Thank you for this video! It took me a few tries, but with your demonstration I was able to make some decent fringe for a Christmas penguin ornament that is wearing a scarf with fringe.

      You got this! Took me a long time to become familiar with one but practice is key!

    You saved me so much stress. Thank you! Wasted so much time trying to decipher the pictorial instructions and I have a lot of fringe to do on this project.

    Wonderful, I couldn’t it so I did cow hitches and tied them all by hand. 😅. Great video, I’m sure I can do this, thank you 😊

    Thank you!! The instructions on paper make no sense lol.. Can you make a video showing how to do a Tassel stitch too? I can't figure that one out either!

    Hi Jennifer. Your videos have given me the confidence to make four stockings. And I'm finally starting my fifth which needs fringe. Can you please advise me on what size needle you used? I can't seem to get that much thread through the eye.....

    • @JenniferGoodTGL
      @JenniferGoodTGL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just use the embroidery needle that comes with the kits. If you find that you cannot fit all the strands in the eye of the needle, you can use a larger needle. I believe the kits come with a size 10.

    Can I precut the string then stitch it ?

    • @JenniferGoodTGL
      @JenniferGoodTGL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can, but I think that it's easier to get a straight line with it being attached first then cut them all in one go. You do you :)

    I bought the Whimsy Merry Christmas Bucilla Felt Banner Kit. Some of my felt was so thin the letters started pulling apart. Have you ever used fabric stabilizers on the back of them?? Use to the felt was great quality but some lately has been on the thinner side.
    Great job!! Keep up your videos!!

    • @JenniferGoodTGL
      @JenniferGoodTGL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes I’ve had specific colors be a little thinner than others. I’ve notice that the black and blue felts tend to be on the thin side verses the white which is always thick. I’ve never used stabilizer but I have used scrap felt to replace some pieces or to change a color completely if I didn’t like the color choice. If stabilizer came in all colors that’s wouldn’t be a bad option. If you choose to use stabilizer, make sure it’s thin enough to sew by hand otherwise you may have a hard time. Personally, I would replace the felt. I keep all my scrap felt for this reason. Thank you so much for watching! Subscribe to support my channel! I have some great videos coming so make sure you hit the 👍🏻

    Do you always leave the threads intact or do you ever separate the threads to make it look more “fringy”?

    • @JenniferGoodTGL
      @JenniferGoodTGL  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really depends on my mood. For the sake of the video I left them as they were. You are more than welcome to fluff them out and make them look more full!

  • @jeanmorier6157

    Can you please remake this video with an ironed piece of thread as I can’t follow what you did

    • @JenniferGoodTGL
      @JenniferGoodTGL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can make an updated video if this one is too hard to understand. This stitch in particular is tricky and filming it is tricky. I'm not sure what you mean by 'ironed piece of thread'.
