I liked the background story to the story, which was as expected a good one, well narrated.
Idk for sure but think I might have read the original story as a kid in the 70’s, sure rings a loud bell, anyhows this was really good, loved the twist at the end

Well, it definitely was short. Would have made a wonderful stand alone novel.
