No, I think a far more meaningful pursue would be to confirm we live in a virtual universe so that, finally understanding what that means for quantum mechanics, we can work on rewriting the script from the inside. Immortality? Sure. Comfortable self-propelled flight? Why not. Very little is against the laws of physics if the physics engine becomes as pliable as taffy. Ok, going with the hypothesis of our existence being a simulation, is there any real reason for us not to be consciously aware of the fact that we are in a simulation if we are the 'players?' I can't imagine many would be up for playing a game or participating in a virtual reality wherein you would lose access to everything you know outside of that experience.
That said, if it were a simulation of the past and/or some super advanced implementation of a general life simulation, like that of one of the earliest simulations appropriately titled, 'Life,' then that would make much more sense, but that would lend itself more to our existences being literally artificial and nothing more than a product of that advanced simulation, in which case, when we die, we would literally cease to exist and then whatever resources our entity utilized would be cleared and allocated for a new entity to take our place. If some sort of data corruption were to take place or the resources were not completely cleared, then that could also explain people who remember a fragments of some past life; so, in this scenario, reincarnation would not be the explanation, but residual data much like that which can be found on data storage devices when something is deleted, but exists until it is overwritten or otherwise deliberately cleared.

go insane, even without a physical form to support that. So keeping in
mind, that our capacity for learning is limited, it does make sense to
keep up reproduction to evolve.
Also, how do supernatural
phenomenon play into our every day lives. We hear about aliens, UFOs,
ghosts and strange creatures. Are those anomalies outside influences or
glitches?

We may or may not live within a simulation and the only real way to prove we live in a simulation, Will be to create an accurate simulation of our own. The amount of power required to run a simulation as real as our own universe will be astronomical and would in turn cause the power needs for our simulation to grow astronomically likely resulting in the absolute shutdown of our simulated world.
So one day many thousands of years in the future when we are able to create a universe within a computer, if everything blinks out of existence or at the very least begins to malfunction than we know that we live in a simulated universe, and if nothing happens we will know we're the prime universe.

I would like to clarify entangled particles transfer of information. It's called the Tube sock analogy.
Suppose you have a pair of socks. Neither of them is a left foot or right foot sock.
