Coming up next in this series : all the different filters explained (RPM Filters, Dynamic filters...), and how to know what's good for your quad! Is there something in particular you'd like to see ? 😃
Finally, explanation for dummies, this is what is needed in this hobby. Others do a good job of explaining however it usually is not dumbed down enough for people who are not this technical. I'm looking forward to how you explain black box, please make it simple to understand, like good examples and bad examples and what a good tune looks like, this will help many.
Hey Lénorde, great job on the PID toolbox video! I am the developer of PID toolbox. Really impressed with your vid. Well done! I thought about making some vids myself but never seem to get around to it. Seems I dont need to now :-) Love to see more! thanks -PS, I dropped a link to you vid on the PTB Github site.
Hi dev, is it possible to have your own math libraries in a software? Does it really invoke so many different function calls from MATLIB? I would love to see your software to become a full functional standalone app. Thanks!
I'm impatient to see the next videos about this tool. The way you explain things is very clear for a french like me! So thank you for your work and your clear and precise explanations!🙏🏽👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Great series! i have watched a lot of top Tubers guide videos how to use blackbox, and your videos tells the most important things very quickly and clearly. Been in hobby for 5 years and counting myself as a pro, but blackbox is something that i have always tried to avoid due to its complexity (been rocking kiss and RF). Now when trying to tune this 13" 8kg monster i got no choice but learn to tune with the blackbox. So maby make next a tuning video how to tune quad for HD footage. I mean tune that prioritize steady footage on full throttle range (in wind and no wind) over the ultimate flight performance and propwash handling
Thank you very much for your comment! As a professional videographer, my goal is to focus on HD footage. This series is still covering the basics, but I hope it will become more and more precise in the future. Bigger quads are also in my to-do list ! Full throttle seems to be kind of a hard range to tune, because so many factors are introduced in the data (same goes for the wind). What camera are using on your 13" monster? 😀
Great Video. I miss some real examples what you really cen do except moving the sliders to tune your filters. I mean to do it more precise with manual numbers input, differences between PT1 and BiQAD etc. Anyway I like your videos very much, keep making them as often as you can. Maybe PID tuning next time?
Hey! Thank you very much for your comment. This video is only an introduction to the tool. The next videos will cover different Betaflight settings, and I will use PID Toolbox to show their effects and how to tune them. It was not possible to incorporate everything in one video, so filters are split into a series and sliders were just one exemple. I hope you'll enjoy the next videos too 😀
i get my d term prefilt very noisy stock filter roll peak 1.24 mean 0.269 pitch peak 2.66 mean 0.42 then i try your filter setting (lesser delay) roll peak 2.05 mean 0.38 pitch peak 5.17 mean 0.46 and then i try chris rosser aggresive filter it become super bright and hot roll peak 3.43 mean 1.15 pitch peak 5.79 mean 1.44
Hi! Prefilt signals are not related to any Betaflight settings but only to your physical configuration. Small quads, bad frames, or damaged motors are some sources of noise that will make your pre-filtered signal very hot. The goal of filter tuning is to find the right balance between phase delay and keeping your motors safe. If you can't fix any physical issue to have less noise in your pre-filtered signal, you only need to look at the filtered traces and motor temperature. If it's clean, your motors should be safe. If it's still noisy after filtering, it will be harder to reduce your phase delay, because you can't reduce the amount of filtering too much. I hope it helps you understand what you should be looking for! Tell me if you need more info.

@@Aldg973 I'll definitely be working on it, but I still need to tune different setup with this tool before talking about it. Merci beaucoup!
