Update that at least as of late March, purchasing a gift card online with the Hilton Business card indeed triggers the $60 quarterly Hilton credit.

I am extremely disappointed with the Hilton Business card. My sole purpose for it was to have the 10 annual Priority Pass entries. Not only did their fee go up but they got rid of PP. Few questions, is it possible to downgrade this card to a no annual fee Hilton card instead of canceling? I do have a high limit balance on it, will my credit be affected if I cancel it? Lastly, I need a recommendation on a card that gives me Priority Pass, but these sapphire cards charging $600 plus is too much.

Sorry to hear that the changes made the Hilton Business card worse for you, I feel like that's the case for most people, including myself.
      1. I don't believe that you can downgrade it to the no annual fee Hilton card, given that one's a business card and one's a personal card.
      2. Your personal credit score/report will not be impacted at all. I can't speak on what will happen to your business credit, personally I've never accessed my business credit report despite having multiple business cards.
      3. You can consider the US Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature card, which offers 4 annual Priority Pass entries. Currently the annual fee is $95 with the first year waived, though note that after September 9, it'll become a no annual fee card and you'll still get those 4 entries.

Sapphire "terrace" in Austin is a bit depressing lol. Better than nothing though! PP must have really upped their cost to the issuers.

Haha agreed, perhaps it's loved by plane-spotters. And good point, considering how multiple other issuers weakened their PP offerings. Thanks for watching!

Loved the succinct breakdown of the new changes! Interestingly enough the Hilton business card is now more on my radar than before because of the credits. I usually hate credits but one of my wife and I’s favorite restaurants is at a Hilton property so that effective annual fee might just make it a keeper

Awesome that you and your wife can find organic use for the Hilton credits! If one can organically realize that negative effective annual fee, then the Hilton Business is arguably better than before. Thanks for watching Nathaniel!

Yeap take advantage of them while you still can! Though maybe not if there's also a Sapphire lounge as those look NICE...

Great info! I'm currently looking to get my first credit card, what card companies would you recommend for the first time? I spend personal money and get reimbursed at work for buying lunch / dinner for clients, plane tickets, hotel rooms, etc. Id like to hear any recommendations that would suit well for my situation. Thanks!

I'd recommend going with Chase, for example the Sapphire Preferred or the 2 Freedom cards, as they offer flexible redemption options and good multipliers on the categories that you mentioned. Also, Chase generally prefers if you get their cards early in your credit card journey.
The Autograph cards from Wells Fargo also offer strong multipliers on those categories ... I made a video recently on the Autograph Journey card if you're interested in learning more about it.
Happy to help with any further questions that you may have, and thanks for watching this video!
