Great video and super enjoyed hearing your book stats! Also you’re excitement for Delicious in Dungeon makes me want to try it! 🤩
I think you might like it! It’s not nearly as dark as most of the other things I read lol
You're the first person who I've watched that doesn't like Takopis Sin, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I'm in the same boat, I'm glad I read it online instead of buying it. I don't need another manga to sell lol
It reminded me a lot of the Inio Asano works I’ve read and I didn’t like any of those either
@@tonireadsmanga Yeah I can see that, I'm not a fan of any of his works either though I didn't mind his Holograph one though it was bleak
@@tonireadsmanga Woah, I see. If you don't like Asano, I can see why you def won't like Takopii. These are creators not afraid to go all out and push the boundaries of what's acceptable (or tasteful), and that's why people like them (or not). 😅
I went into Alice blind not knowing anything about it or the show and it was great. I have had convos about it with people and they dislike the side stories and other characters etc I thought it was done well and I enjoyed them. Makes you care about whos at the end not some rando people you know little to nothing about. (plus those spines are a kiss from a chef)
I totally agree! A lot of the emotional moments relied on the side characters and without the extra stories they wouldn’t have been as impactful.
Great video! I’m gonna check out delicious in dungeon 😁
I hope you enjoy it!
❤❤❤
I tried Takopi but I had to tap out because it was just too much.
Sorry you didn't like "Takopii's Original Sin", it's extremely nihilistic and fully commits to that nihilism, so it's not for everyone. However, one thing that I think you may have missed is that it's an extremely dark, subversive take on "Doraemon", a super popular kids cartoon in Japan. TOS is about how wishing for a magical friend to solve all your bullying problems will not necessarily result in things getting better, and it's even more telling that at the end of the story, the bullying eventually stops BECAUSE Takopii never existed. That may be why it was so popular in Japan.
