This is such a lovely walk and it was so nice to see it in the winter. I have only ever done it in the summer and the winter. Yes, I agree - the steps!! There are so many of them. A good substitute for the gym for sure! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Lovely nostalgia walk for me thanks as my gran lived here in 1960/70's who I visited as a boy from Sidmouth and we walked to Branscombe &Beer a few times up the cliffs before she got too old.then with my own kids,20+yrs ago and now planning re visit in summer 2024 😅👍
It's been a fair few years now since I've been over Branscombe/Beer way. Got fond memories of visiting them. All along that bit of the coast is lovely I think.
I was reading online that a really fast walker can complete the whole 630 miles of the SWCP in around 30 days, but a more leisurely pace with time to stop to see some of the sights is between 7-8 weeks. Certainly would be an epic challenge. There's lots of itenary guides online Dave. Lovely to see the sunshine at last. 🌞
I wouldn't be in any rush to do the whole route as fast as possible; much better to do it at a leisurely pace and enjoy it. Aye, definitely lovely to see a bit of sunshine 😊
Thank you for taking us along on your long walk! I've been down to the Tesco at Seaton, but regrettably I didn't go a couple of blocks further south to take in the pebble beach. I did get to the part of your walk at Lyme Regis near the Cobb shown in the last two minutes of your video. It was during June, so it was much more crowded then.
This looks like a lovely walk Dave, thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to springtime to get out a bit more again for some lovely walks like this. I tend to hibernate a bit during the winter; so enjoying vicariously In the meantime watching your vids :) As you were talking about walking the Dorset Coast path; I just wondered if you've read 'The Salt Path' by Raynor Winn? If not I would totally recommend it. I don't read as much as I used to but so glad I came across this enthralling book & since passed on to a friend.
I'm looking forward to the Spring/Sumner time too; can go for longer walks and overnight camps etc 😁 I haven't heard of 'The Salt Path'; I'll check it out.

It certainly is a lovely walk; even in winter time it's a beautiful walk indeed.
