Figured I would do another tutorial on how to apply name sets and patches to jerseys since the first video was a bit long and I ran into some issues with the application. Hopefully this video is more helpful than the last one!

I do this myself. It's always good to use a piece of parchment paper between the iron and the transfer. Also, the top of the number should be in line with the armpit area and the name set in line with the top of the shoulder blade area. Great video, bro👍

Thanks for the video. Online instructions say to press the iron at high heat for 25 seconds. That is way too long. These are synthetic jerseys and the colors start coming off pretty quickly, so take into account how strong your individual iron is. With mine, it only took about 10 seconds to iron on the second patch for the best results. I did the first one for 15 seconds and here is a noticeable loss of color. It got transferred to the cotton cloth that I put between the iron and the patch.

How long did you place the iron down on the patch for?
Will the jersey melt/get damaged if the iron is too hot or you put it in one place for too long? I don’t want to ruin my jersey so I’m kinda scared.

Pretty much the same process, probably 15-20 seconds of ironing and it'll come off

Most name sets are made of vinyl. Not sure about that specific 12/13 kit. I don’t make name sets I just buy them wherever they are available

So when you iron it you hold down for 20-30 seconds, wait for it to cool off, and then take off the protective sheet over it?
That exactly right! Start out with 20 seconds first and then peel off when it cools off but still warm
@@nutmegcityfc Is an iron still very risky? I've heard some say it is and you should use a heat press instead. Still I don't know where to do that and I have an iron at home which is more convenient.
@@dougyeefresh87 100% it’s risky and if you look at some of my past videos I’ve messed up at least two but just like you I also don’t have a heat press so I resorted to using an iron and I’ve had more successes that failures doing it.

It should work! Just make sure you also put a baking sheet on top of the jersey so you’re not ironing it directly on the jersey

@@shazedaakter5947 Yes that will work too! It might take longer since the towel is thicker than a baking sheet, but it will still work!

@@shazedaakter5947 it’s really going to depend but it really shouldn’t be long. If you’re continuously applying heat and nothing happens, then chances are the glue has worn off

Yes BUT it will leave glue residue behind

Can we machine wash inside out with nameset?
Yeah absolutely! just don't throw it in the dryer. If the name set comes out a bit wrinkled after the wash, you can use this same method to unwrinkle it with the iron and a baking sheet or towel to cover the name set. Use medium heat.

Haha I feel you! I was scared my first time! You can always buy whatever cheap name set you find and apply it on whatever cheap training top you find and give it a test run before doing an actual jersey!

For sponsors I don’t know. You’ll probably need to get that custom made. There’s an IG page called @cuttingedgeshirts2 that makes custom name sets, sponsors and patches. Check them out!
you should get the copa america champions gold patch for the Argentina away jersey it looks beautiful on that kit.
