I think from what I could understand at there ( 8:34 ) is that the entity inside Metal made you look through the game folders, which made Sonic wait for you which he usually does in the games. And making Sonic wait that long cause him to get tired, and saying “I’m outta here” then jump off causing a game over, which is something he does in Sonic CD if the player is not touching the controller that long. That’s all what I could think of there.
